  • The El's power does not reach into this realm, Attack and HP will be reduced by 90%.

Gargoyle Statues

Inside the castle there will be numerous gargoyle statues located on multiple floors. These gargoyles can only be hit by command attacks and upon being hit, will emit either a blue or green colored flame. When a gargoyle statue is lit, it will spawn platforms around it that players can use to access higher levels. Additionally, every time a green flame is activated, one of the following events will occur:

  • Players will gain an  Party DebuffAgingParty DebuffAging debuff, decreasing attack and speed (can stack, can be deactivated by hitting the associated gargoyle statue again)
  • Enemies will gain increased attack, defense, and HP (can stack, can be deactivated by hitting the associated gargoyle statue again)
  • A wave of monsters will appear

In the first two rooms, there will be 1 blue-flame gargoyle statue hidden amongst the green-flame gargoyle statues. The blue-flame gargoyle statue must be activated, and the remaining monsters defeated in order to progress to the next room. The third room contains a total of 8 gargoyle statues, four on the left, and four on the right. 4 blue-flame gargoyle statues will be hidden amongst them. Once they are all activated and the remaining monsters defeated, you will be able to progress to the next area.

Severed Shadow Aren - Ara's brother, the man who had fallen to the demons.
  • Dark Sword Combo: Aren slashes with his sword twice. He will often follow up with Shadow Arm or Spinning Charge.
  • Shadow Arm: Aren uses his shadow arm to attack, launching any players hit.
    • Aren is capable of summoning up to four shadow clones that cast Shadow Arm at the same time he does.
  • Spinning Charge: Aren charges forward with his sword, piercing players and dealing heavy damage.
  • Shadow Clone: If a player is far away from Aren, he will create a shadow clone of himself next to the farthest player and attack them, dealing heavy damage.
  • Raging Wave: Aren slashes with his sword three times, each slash creating a ground wave larger than the last.
  • Shadow Realm: Aren retreats into the background and prepares a powerful attack that destroys the main arena. The two large Gargoyle Statues, one on each side of the arena, must be deactivated via command attacks. Players need to stand on one of two floating platforms that appear to avoid falling into the pit that Aren creates after unleashing his attack. Aren will then teleport even further into the background.
    • If the statue deactivation is successful, players on the platforms will be teleported to Aren.
    • After performing this, Aren will be fatigued. After a short period of time, he will teleport himself and all players back to the main arena.
  • Counter Aren will teleport to the middle of the arena and be surrounded with a blue aura. After a moment of time, Ran will unleash an unavoidable attack to every player. Attacking Aren while he is preparing in this state will cause him to gather more blue aura around him and deal greater damage.
  • Sword Throw Aren will throw multiple shadow swords in front of him. These swords cover great distance, pierce, and inflict  WoundWound on any players hit.

Note:

  • Aren is capable of turning around very quickly, and is able to change direction in the middle of many of his attacks.
  • During the Shadow Realm mechanic, Aren will be vulnerable up until the moment both gargoyle statues are deactivated. Players can take advantage of this by delaying the statue deactivation until right before Aren finishes casting, giving them more time to damage Aren. Additionally, dealing 30 HP bars of damage will disrupt the Shadow Realm attack and Aren will be staggered for a short duration.

  • Aisha: The gargoyle statue in the garden... I sense magic. I don't think it's a normal statue.

  • Chung: Oh, I think I saw a path near the gargoyle statue!
  • Rena: I saw it, too. We should stay on guard as we go investigate.

  • Raven: I thought something was strange. More enemies are showing up every time we investigate the statues.
  • Ain: But we have to check them all if we want to move forward.

  • Ran: ... Why did you come here?
  • Elesis: (Hm? He seems different...)

  • Ara: Aren...?

Upon failing Counter:

  • Ran: ... Leave. You won't find what you seek here.
