Combination

Being a duo character with a tag-team playstyle, Lu and Ciel do not share mana and also have a special system known as Combination.

  • When either Lu or Ciel is tagged out, the inactive character will rapidly recover 20 MP per second (1 MP in PvP). The amount of mana the other character has can be seen in the third blue gauge in the UI.

 

Combination Gauge

Lu and Ciel have a fourth resource known as the Combination Gauge. This resource is typically only used for specific Combination Skills such as Soul Infest. Combination Skills are general [Special Active: Bravery] type skills, and provide various benefits depending on how much Combination Gauge is consumed. For the Demersio path, Combination skills are categorized as Dyad Skills.

The Combination Gauge is divided into 10 segments, and gauge is gained every time the player switches characters through a command attack or skill and successfully lands a hit with the attack. Different paths has different passives that help to fill the gauge quicker.

Tips and Details

  • Although Switching is a Special Move, it is still counted as a skill that cannot be used during some disabling debuffs like Silence.


Trivia

  • The term "Combination Points", often written as CP for short by players, is only ever used in the NA server's text for Switching Skills. Every other tooltip, such as Switching Commands or passives, consistently refer to it as "Combination Gauge".
