Ever since [[Solace|Perrihart]] was discovered to be very gifted with El energy, Siegmund along with many of his half-siblings were jealous of the boy, seeing him as an illegitimate child. Jealous that his Rubenian bloodline from his mother, gave the boy an affinity for the El. They were envious that he would be the one chosen to become the Master of the Sun. He would constantly harass the young [[Solace|Perrihart]].

His abuse would not stop at [[Solace|Perrihart]] either. When the Solace Clan took in [[Harnier]], Siegmund too began to abuse the girl as well, sending his servants to harass the girl. He sent his servants to abuse the young girl and steal her necklace, however [[Solace|Perrihart]] came to [[Harnier]]'s plea and confronted the servants as well as confronting his half-brother. However, [[Solace|Perrihart]]'s confrontation did not stop Siegmund from continuing his harassment of his young adopted sister.

After Siegmund had continued to abuse [[Harnier]], [[Solace|Perrihart]] decided to face off with Siegmund with a one on one sword battle. [[Solace|Perrihart]] got the advantage on his brother and bested him. When [[Solace|Perrihart]] thought he had proven his point, he let his guard down which allowed Siegmund to strike him from behind. Before Siegmund could land his surprise attack, [[Harnier]] got in between them and repelled Siegmund with a powerful El strike. Injured by the little girl's attack, Siegmund was furious but collapsed.
