Eun, take over Ara's body then confronts the Demon Lord, asking why he would seek out her despite them playing a game of hide-and-seek. Without anybody noticing, he manages to get behind everybody, telling them he couldn't do anything while in his spirit form, and tells Eun that he'd like to end their bet with a tie. Elsword asks what exactly they're talking about. Stirbargen notes that Eun never told anybody about their game. Provoking Eun more, she threatens him, but he merely laughs and enjoys the frustration people feel when he reveals himself to them. He then says he's probably too weak to take on the entire group so wants to end his game with a tie and wants to give them some information. Add expresses clear skepticism to anything the boy has to say. Stirbargen seems relieved they aren't complete fools but tells them that he no longer cares for his throne, the war, or even if the world is coming to its end, he merely wants to enjoy life to its fullest. He says that his offer will benefit them as well as forward his own entertaining goals.

He decides to start with a story, but before telling it, without anybody noticing, he manages to swipe everybody's weapons. He then tells the group about the Dark El. Telling them that it has been a rumor for so long that its mere existence is a very divisive topic in the Demon Realm. He brings up Barkat as the current leader of the Demon Army, but drops that point just as quickly. Raven asks him if he knows its location. Stirbargen says he doesn't. He tells them that their plan to ally with the spirits was a good one, but it would never work. Stating that the way spirits sense the El would only give them extremely vague hints towards sources of Dark El energy, case in point, the very mines they're in. He then goes on to tell the group that the Crimson Eye that Rosso had was indeed his own eye that he lost in a bet with the El Master a long time ago. Stirbargen was equally surprised to see Rosso in such a situation, saying that he saw the whole thing, but promises that he only a mere observer. However, he does note that Rosso had used up all the energy that was in the eye, saying that once he got it back, practically all of its powers had been used up. He expresses pity towards creatures that no longer find themselves either human nor demon, lonely creatures without sides, provoking Lu and Ciel. He tells them not to think too much into it, but soon suggests another bet with the El Search Party, expressing his love for bargaining.

Chapter 55: To Abyss
Much time later, Stirbargen arrives to his homeland in the midst of the Abyss causing concern in the area. In the middle of conversations with Victoria and the other head Dream Demons regarding the topic, the El Search Party returned from the Shadow Earl's Castle. He teases Lu and wavers some suspicion toward Laby before returning back on topic. The El Search Party having witnessed the Abyss on their return trip, Tir eggs the group to delve into it themselves. Though the group were reluctant to interfere with the Red Demon Territory's matters, Tir mentions Ran to be the culprit for the Abyss's expansion, suspecting he found something and had a clear goal in mind for entering the Abyss. He tells the El Search Party if Ran manages to somehow harness the Abyss's power, he'd become an unstoppable legendary force, one he's be interested in seeing for himself, but one he also would rather not as there would be no fun in an absolute power like that, so he offers the El Search Party the job in stopping him. Add contests the demon, asking what he's put on stake for this, which Tir offer both of his eyes. Despite his jesting attitude, Lu knows he is serious if he were willing to put both of his eyes on the line. Considering the factors, Add agrees for the group.

Once they arrived at the Abyss, he tells them that as long as they stay within his eyes' sight, it can help them resist the Abyss's distortion, be he himself will not be able to help them in any other way. Originally planning to send Vasili down with one of his eyes, due to the El Search Party now being involved, it was decided he's give both to them, and Vasili to bear the Abyss's energy with his own inherent resistance.

Chapter 57: Terrarium in Abyss
Deep into the Abyss, they find the remnants of the Moon El. Stirbargen notes that there'd been signs of a sacrificial ritual having been performed with it. As they removed the creature who'd latched onto the leaking El carcass, it awakens, and the demon recognizes it as a young primal dragon known as a Myuriconus. The El Search Party figuring out the young dragon is neither under Ran's influence or corrupted by the Abyss, take pity and wish not to harm it, much to Tir's dismay. When the group managed to have Zero fly the beast out, the former demon king was genuinely impressed and entertained by their unorthodox problem solving.

Chapter 58: Backtracking Guide
When the El Search Party found Vasili in a manic state, they ask Stirbargen about it, believing Vasili would be resistant to the Abyss. He corrects them that he won't die for exposure, but as a Dream Demon, his mind would be vulnerable. Aisha and Lu were both appalled to learn he knew this would happen, but he did his part to warn Vasili, but Vasili went without one of his eyes anyway.

In their fight with Vasili, Vasili manages to put the El Search Party into a deep nightmare. As they woke up, Tir's eye, unaffected, was just watching, entertained by Lu talking in her sleep. Once everyone had come to, they were at the door to the Abyss's Heart Core. Vasili opens the way, Tir has one of his eyes follow the El Search Party in while the other remained to look after Vasili.

Chapter 59: King of Abyss
When the El Search Party entered the Birth of Origin, Tir split his attention, one eye keeping track of the El Search Party during their confrontation with Ran while the other gave its power to Vasili. When Ran boasted about his ambitions to take the reigns as the absolute Demon King, this triggered Stirbargen to lash out. Stirbargen uncharacteristically expressed his deep genuine admiration for the previous Demon King and offense that Ran would express himself in the same vein. The El Search Party request aid, but having his attention divided, he could not assist, though fortunately Aren arrived with information that would prove invaluable.

Chapter 60: Collapsing Abyss
After destroying the Abyss's Heart Core and shattering Ran's Seed of Life, they rendezvous with Vasili outside where Tir explains he's giving Vasili some of his power to at least get the El Search Party back out of the heart. Tir help the El Search Party find their way out of the collapsing Abyss.

Once they'd successfully gotten out and Ran dragged back down into the depths, Stirbargen congratulates the El Search Party. Lu asks him about what he said about the Demon King, but he didn't feel like commenting, wanting to leave it in the past and teasing Lu about her new companions.

Chapter 61: Suspicious Invite
After the El Search Party received a mysterious set of letters, Tir was amused by the letter from the Torta Gang, wondering if it was some kind of warning. As the El Search Party contemplated the letters, Tir doubted the invitations were benevolent, but points out that they've become well known for halting the Abyss and these may be a good opportunity to learn more about the situation regarding the Land of Steel. He unsuccessfully tries to lure Lu into another bet, but unable to, reminds her that they still have on ongoing bet at play. Soon after, he mentions he will be departing soon but keeps to where a secret.
