Con un nuevo brazo Nasod, Raven es capaz de sobrecalentarse mas allá de sus límites. Esto le permite ejecutar inclusive más combos explosivos y habilidades. Él también puede causarle herida a los enemigos, haciendole un potente daño sobre tiempo. Con Zancada sombra, él es capaz de moverse en ambas direcciones para desorientar y evadir enemigos.
Historia
Antes de que su brazo Nasod pueda sobrecalentarse muchas veces y fallarle en batalla, él se acerca a los Pongus por su sabiduría en armas.

Curiosidades
- Whenever Veteran Commander's arm overheats, it will show as his arm 'vents' opening, and makes a sound when it closes.
- Veteran Commander's Nasod arm is the most armored when compared with Blade Master and Reckless Fist.
- Grand Archer and Veteran Commander have the most Status changing skills out of every other 2nd Job.
- Veteran Commander was the only character to induce the Bleed effect with Bleeding Slicer.
- After the skill revamp from 6/27/2013, other classes can also utilize Bleed.
- With both Mercenary Behavior and Shadow Technique of Mercenary - Survival, Veteran Commander can become extremely resistant to overheat, status effects, and damage when low on HP, making him a progressively difficult opponent to injure.
- During Veteran Commander's release event in NA/UK, When summoning his NPC Card, the angel from the KR pre-event appears and fights for them. However this didn't happen in his Pre-event.
- Based off the comic, it can be assumed that the color change of a portion of Raven's hair stems from nuclear radiation caused by Ignis's core that was implanted in his arm.
