Com seu novo e aprimorado braço, Raven é então capaz de disparar concentrados projéteis em seus inimigos, causando grandes e poderosas explosões. Superaquecendo seu braço até o limite, e utilizando devastadores golpes, Raven renasce como um Mercenário Artilheiro.
História
Enquanto caminhava em busca de El, Raven encontrou outro motivo para lutar. Ele continua a lutar pela honra de seus camaradas, os Mercenários Corvo. Ele ajusta seu Braço Nasod e consegue o aprimorar para conseguir causar ataques realmente explosivos. Quanto mais ele o utiliza, mais forte ele se torna e, quando seu braço superaquece, Raven consegue demonstrar um verdadeiro espetáculo de poder de fogo.
Ainda assim, Raven se coloca em grande perigo enquanto continua a utilizar esta modificada, embutida arma. O Mercenário Artilheiro caminha na fronteira entre se tornar uma grande máquina de destruição ou aniquilação total de si mesmo.
First Class Advancement
Raven is required to be Lv15 to begin his first class advancement.
After completing the Taker quest chain, Raven can decide between advancing as a Sword Taker, Over Taker or a Weapon Taker.
Weapon Taker
- Speak to Lenphad the Blacksmith of Elder.
- Collect one Overheat Mechanism Blueprints from the William Phoru Boss in 2-4.
- Complete 2-5 in Normal Mode (☆) or higher.
- Collect one Mechanism Core from Wally 8th Boss in 2-5 in Very Hard Mode (☆☆☆).
At Lv35, a Mercenário Artilheiro can advance into a General Bélico.

Hit and Run / Roll and Grab
Raven attacks three times with his sword, then does a backstep, firing 1 shot with his arm and another shot, knocking targets down.
Alternatively, if holding the directional button, he does a front roll past his enemies and then grabs them with his arm.

After Raven slashes once in midair after running, he will use his Nasod arm to release some explosive smoke and ignite it, thereby propelling himself and his target higher.

Superaquecimento
Raven, após se tornar um Mercenário Artilheiro, ganha um novo sistema exclusivo para esta classe. Certos golpes e habilidades podem ser aprimorados em troca de seu HP. Raven utilizará a energia térmica vinda de sua garra para aumentar todo o dano desferido pelo personagem em 10% durante a duração do buff (visível por uma modificação em sua garra, que estará em chamas). Para utilizar do Superaquecimento basta continuar pressionando o botão do designado combo ou habilidade. Em Habilidades Especiais, uma grande quantidade de HP será consumida, então tome cuidado!

- Overheating no longer damages Raven over time. Instead:
- For combos, each extra X blast consumes a bit of HP.
- For Skills, with the exception of Deadly Raid, at the end of the overheated skill, 20% of the damage done from the overheated damage will be deducted from HP.
- The way to see if Raven is overheated is changed. Rather then his whole body on fire, he now only sets his arm ablaze. New way of seeing overheat state(Veteran Commander's arm vents will open, Weapon Taker's arm will just be on fire).
- Harpoon Spear, Deadly Raid and Ignition Crow have been added to the Overheat list.
- Overheating no longer damages Raven over time. Instead:

Trivia
- Though not mentioned in his backstory, Weapon Taker improves his arm not by letting it evolve like Over Taker, but instead by taking parts from enemies and integrating them with his arm, improving it without increasing its influence on him. Thus this is why he is named "Weapon" Taker.
- His necklace appears to be black feathers, which may be a reference to his name, or to the Crow Mercenaries.
- Though the artwork shows him to look as old as Blade Master or Reckless Fist instead of Raven's other 1st class branches, this is only due to a different artist.
- In the original teaser trailer of Weapon Taker, at the end there was a combo in which Raven could boost himself upwards like Chung's >>^x.
- Upon further inspection, this combo is simply the >>^ZXX where the 2nd X propels you slightly into the air. This is because in the original teaser trailer of Weapon Taker, some of the attacks were specially modified. For example, the XX X~X combo was modified so that instead of lauching the initial bullet, an explosion similar to Giga Prominence came out of the ground. This is due to possible balancing reasons.
- His in-game model loses one of his characteristic scars in his face while his Skill and art at the top of the screen, still show it.
- During S1 PvP, many moves depleted HP in values where you'd have to be careful of which moves you decided to overheat.
- Before the Overheat revamp, you could actually kill yourself by using Overheat.
