An otter alchemist who possesses the knowledge and alchemy insights beyond human limitation. His curiosity often causes big and small accidents, yet he's always very calm about it. He is very reserved, with a very gentle personality. He uses all kinds of slang when he talks.

====Chapter 12: Hamel Fell into Darkness====

In order to investigate the risen water levels in Resiam, [[Penensio]] asks Denka for help. Denka tells the El Search Party that causes were due to the disappearance of the Water Priestess [[Sasha]], who controls the Water El that regulates the area's water, and the mechanisms in the [[7-3|Ancient Waterway]] being broken. After the El Search Party investigates the waterway, Denka speculates that somebody must have been tampering with the machines in the waterway. It is revealed that the Demon Scientist Conrad had been messing with the machines. After defeating Conrad, Denka notices the water levels beginning to return back to normal. However, Taranvash attacked the El Search Party while they were in the Waterway. Denka believes that the Holy Beast may have gone insane due to the Water Priestess being missing. After Taranvash was defeated, Denka asks the El Search Party to rearrange the reflectors scattered across the Ancient Waterway as he believed they are the key to unlocking the Guardian Stone's secrets.
