Trials of Elsword was an experimental Facebook tie-in game based on Elsword Online. The game had a very short run following the official launch of Elsword Online in May of 2011. It ran on the Unity engine and was playable in the browser through its respective Facebook app. The game was advertised as a demo to the main game, with the incentive of obtaining redeemable rewards in the main game. This was to give players a sample of what to expect in the main game, as well as offer exciting rewards to existing Elsword players.

==Trivia==
*The name "Trials of Elsword" is likely a play on words, alluding to the fact that the game is merely a trial version of the main game.
*Since the game's only incarnation was in a very early development stage, there were numerous bugs and mistakes that plagued the game.
**The game was known to freeze on the victory screen for some players, which prevented them from receiving their rewards.
**The skills for all 3 characters used [[Mega Slash]]'s icon in-game, instead of Aisha and Rena having the proper icons for theirs.
