Hello. This is GM Riel
Elsword already has a Video capture feature in game, but there are adventurers that use additional external video capture programs.
But cases have been increasing where players are causing harm to other player’s PvP experiences by using these video capture programs to affect the game’s frame rates. Because of these issues, the game will be changed so that these kind of external capture programs cannot be used.
<External Video capture program block notice>
– Time: After 2014 08 28 Maintenance
– Details: External video capture programs (Bandicam, Frams…etc) cannot be used in Elsword anymore.
<How to use Elsword’s ingame Screenshot & Video capture feature>
1. Press PrintScreen to take screenshots, Press ScrLk key to capture videos.
2. Check the folder where Elsword is installed in ‘data\ScreenCapture’ folder to check your captured screens and videos.
– If there was no custom directory specified during installation, you can find the Elsword folder at ‘C:\Nexon\ElSword\data\ScreenCapture’
3. Qualities adjustments like the video size and frame rates can be set using ‘ESC > 옵션 > 녹화 설정’ menu
After the maintenance, the external capture programs will still run but you will not be able to capture using those programs. So please use the in-game Elsword Video capture system from now on.

oh wow… they can’t prevent frame abusers so they just decide to block every video capturing programs. This wouldn’t be an issue if the in-game capture system was good as the external ones. I hope this does not affect streaming programs too.
also if you look in the main site where this post is posted, there are bunch of people yelling at the GMs get get rid of foreigners from KR server. Please try to refrain from PvPing in KR server if you experience even a slight distance lag.
Edit: For those of you that don’t have Scroll Lock Button available, They also made Insert Button available for capturing videos.
What a big middle finger to laptop users. The ingame recorder sucks too. *hopes this doesn’t affect shadowplay*

Too bad about external capture programs. I really like to use Bandicam but if there is really no way then I have to pick dem ingame recorder. meh
Foreigners should keep out of Arena. How stupid can some people be? They are risking country-bans! If you want to play PvP then go to Camilla’s sparring rooms, no need for doing stupid things…

How does reducing one’s own framerates create an advantage? Do they not realize higher framerates what creates the advantages? Recording lowers the framerates and hinders the recording player. The real way to abuse framerates is to run the game on minimum settings and set the graphics card control panel software settings to override the game settings. This won’t stop that.
…..Or is there some other trick I haven’t been told about?

To the foreigners (NA People) that migrate to kr and play PvP while recording and get this happened.. You SHOULD of stay away from pvp but nope it will continue. I can tell this will affect live streamers as well because 3rd party recording programs that will not work to record will effect people that want to record that is also doing solo dungeon. Seriously, even me I tried recording in PvP with different recording program one time and it did have an effect which I will never do it again. You SHOULD of listened but nope you still did it and this will get you to a bigger dropped. Sooner or later nexon kr would decide to ip banned foreigners (NA People) to not be able to play kr forever and little children and little adults as well will cry out of ip ban in kr. It’s called kr server FOR A REASON and nexon kr spared foreigners (NA People) to play in their server because its a high-end game service. One advice to foreigners (NA People) : DON’T F*CK IT UP!

Oops, what if I can not find ScrollLock key on my laptop??? Moreover, what if the in-game camera is not as clear as Bandicam!!!!
Seriously? The ingame recording program gives the most framerate drops i’ve ever seen, most external recording programs barely effected the game, bandica for example…
