They actually go into the causes of the demon invasion and the demon realm itself.
Unfortunately, Elsword’s story already has too many plot holes than I can count.

  • Croire says:

If time trouble follows DiE’s job path completely, we’ll get to see add have breakdown at end and destroy the world repeatedly when he turns into “D”

and then Elsword will end and yay the end.

“[…]one moderate faction demon opposed the invasion then lost all their power and got banished to Elrios.”

    Lu confirmed?

Elesis’s motivations are even more confused now. Before, she seemed to be acting entirely out of character, and in fact seemed rather sadistic and corrupted. Here however, she is behaving as though she still feels some kind of kinship with humans and a desire to protect them.

It’s becoming more likely that she is working as a mercenary for hire. That she doesn’t feel any particular hatred towards the people that she kills. It’s also possible that she is working as a double agent within the demon forces, planning on using them to further her own purposes and then eliminate them when they become useless to her.

Not only is that second possibility lightly hinted at in this part, but it also makes sense when applied to the context of what happened to Berthe. What might have happened is that she was accompanying Berthe on a mission, and Berthe’s usefulness came to an end after he completed his part. From that point forward, Berthe would no longer serve a purpose that someone else couldn’t do better, so she disposed of him. No loose ends.

Her loyalty to D is questionable beyond all else however. This is the largest unknown at this point, we do not know if she serves D with unwavering loyalty, or if she plans on betraying D, or anything in between. However, I do not think that if she betrays D that she will join the party. She is at least a bit corrupted, given how brutally she killed Berthe and how savagely she attacked even her own brother in the previous encounter against her. More likely, a betrayal against the demons would result in her going her own way.

Now, if she IS planning on betraying the demons, I feel that it wouldn’t take much to trigger her into doing so. Indeed, if one of the other generals were to even come close to killing her brother, she might erupt into a violent frenzy. This much was hinted at before when Add lied about killing Elboy to provoke her before. She nearly killed him. In this part, she warned Karis about harming any of the humans in Velder. If she is willing to nearly kill Karis as a warning of what will happen if Karis doesn’t listen, what would happen if she found out that not only a human was harmed, but that human was her own brother?

I feel like Elesis is on a delicate balance between sanity and insanity, between her corrupted personality and her desire to protect. She might get set over the edge if her rage is triggered too strongly. In the main canon, Crimson Avenger seeks a bloody revenge against the demons. She seems like she is walking a very fine line, very close to this becoming true in this timeline as well. All she needs is the right trigger. Although this would not be good for the demons as she is a powerful enemy to make, this could be just as bad for the search party as if she becomes unstable enough she might lose whatever ability to hold back she has left and try to slaughter them as well.

Who f*king cares at this point man?
I totally understand that she would be on side of demons to destroy stupid Elrios, its too corrupted by humans (kog) and needs to be destroyed. In the end this is DiE story, not Elesisword
