I’m pretty sure KOG knows Elsword is done and they’re doing the old “If I’m going down I’m taking you with me!” deal by spreading around loli cancer at this point. Because why let the disease be contained in Japan?

let’s be honest with each other, even KoG admit’s Aisha is a mistake at this point, they will do anything they can to avoid even admitting she exists at this point. Get over your magical girl fetish Endgame, last i checked your the only one who keeps commenting about loli this and loli that, I would assume you are the only real lolicon here and are still uspet others took Aisha’s spot there.
(moving on from the Ad-hominem) last i checked this provided much needed background about an actually liked and appreciated by the NA community that actually plays still. I myself enjoy the background.

KOG considers Aisha a mistake, but they don’t consider the ST Revamp a mistake even though it was what started Elsword’s decline by causing mass ragequits, and took them years to finally undo it because they didn’t actually want to.
…..What does that tell you about KOG?
PS. Aisha is too old to be loli in base job and then she’s 18 (Read: legal) in 2nd Job. Sooooooo…..
“Lolis” are not actually based on age, they’re based on art style. That’s because “age” itself cannot factor in many characters that can easily be defined as “lolis” otherwise, so it’s easier, more consistent and has better defined characteristics to use art style as a factor. E.g. think of the teacher in Index, she’s 40+ yet she looks like a preschooler and sometimes acts like a child, by your logic, she isn’t a “loli”, which is rather absurd. For you, Lu isn’t a loli since she has been made into a child, she isn’t one since she’s pretty much a grandma.
As for KOG, KOG has always been shit, what do you expect? The comic though, has no fault in all of this. The lore in Elsword has a ton of potential and it’s appealing, too bad they never work it out properly, except for this time and Time Trouble. If they’ll start doing more comics and light novels to even explain in-game story, I see no issue.
Lu’s backstory outright says she reverse aged. She regressed both physically and mentally into a child.
So the “She’s really thousands of years old!” excuse doesn’t mean shit. (Not that most of them even hold up. Usually they’re hundreds of years old because they’re members of a race that ages slowly and are considered children by their own kind.) Nor does ANY given age when it comes to loli characters. You know damn well who they’re aimed at. You know damn well who they’re meant to appeal to.
And yes, these comics are more of KOG’s usual bullshit. The game its self has already been neglecting the older characters (Except Rena for some reason.) in favor of the newer characters. The renewals which they specifically stated to be to bring the older characters to be in line with the newer characters….. made some of the older characters’ classes even weaker while the main benefactors were Elesis and Add.
And the two top characters before the reneweals? Elesis and Add!
Lu and Ciel are the newest characters besides Rose, which the Korean playerbase has made clear they hate. So KOG has abandoned her and went back to the previous newest characters.
And the thing is, Ciel is just a knockoff of Raven. Raven has gone for longer with his backstory seeing no resolution while the demon realm is just waiting for Lu to swoop right in to reclaim her throne since most known high ranking demons are dead. (Including the one that backstabbed Lu in the first place.) I’m sure longtime players would rather learn more about Alex and see him dealt with rather than learn more about how a pedophile who copies Raven’s character archtype, combos, and even skills learned how to become an assassin to try to get revenge on someone who killed his loved ones. (Gee, that’s not like Raven at all!)
For fuck’s sake. Ciel even stole his hair turning white while losing his mind from Raven!
And Lu? Lost most of her powers? Stolen from Aisha. White haired flat chested queen who lost everything and has a servant that dual wields bladed weapons? Stolen from Eve.
…..But Raven, Aisha, and Eve themselves? Nothing. They get nothing. The characters ripping them off get everything.
KOG should ask Nintendo how well shitting all over the long time fans in favor of trying to appeal to a new crowd and failing is working out for them.
No, Lu’s backstory says nothing about her being reversed mentally, only body wise. Which is a point against you, since Aisha’s body is nowhere near mature in her base and first job, only the third does it show any changes.
So yeah, the “thousand of years old” excuse is still up and running, but you seem to be missing the point, excessively even. I’m not here to argue about who lolis appeal to or not, it’s about what classifies as a loli, which is art style, not age.
And I disagree on the matter of the “older classes being even weaker”, unless you’re talking PvP, then sure, but I don’t see why you think PvP is a big deal when PvE is actually the main point, it’s almost more popular (I could even say “hence it is more popular”).
As for Rose, they clearly needed some money so they made a partnership with DFO, I thought that was obvious, so Rose is completely irrelevant from every point of view.
The issue with your statement is basically your ignorance of Luciel’s lore. Lu can’t just “sweep in and take her throne”, since she never regained her whole form, nor do we know exactly who took her throne, note, you think you’ve defeated them, but the story does not mention such a thing.
For the rest, I really don’t care what your preferences in characters nor do I care about your dislike of certain tropes and plot points (although, I have to add, you’re asking for a dilution of the story more than anything, they can’t spread the story so thin because you dislike what you claim to be “the same thing as before”). The point of this is to pretty much correct your mishaps more than anything. Luciel is a popular duo, probably as popular as Eve and Add, since KOG has the stats and these aren’t controversial changes (AKA gameplay changes), I see no reason to trust KOG with how they make their game more popular.
-Karis is shown in Lu’s intro sealing Lu.
-Lu describes herself as a queen and Karis as a subordinate.
-Karis is refered to as the other demons with the title “Succubus Queen”.
-Karis shows up to finish off Lu and makes a mocking statement towards her.

And Lu acts like a little brat and does “kawaii desu” poses like any other loli. She does everything short of screaming “ONII-CHAN! ONII-CHAN!” Do you mean to tell me the adult Luciela R. Sourcream acted like that too? Wow. No wonder Karis usurped her and had no problems getting the incubi, succubi, and slayers to follow her instead of trying to free their beloved queen…..

Lu is old, but if she has not mentally regressed, then she is pretty childish then.
If Ciel isn’t an assassin/hitman now, due to this vow even though his previous backstory said he entered the underworld and you get this sort of mafia feel, does that mean he lied to Verni?

Oh, and will they include this new character into the game if he’s still alive?
I sometimes question the reason of flame wars. It’s just a nice simple comic and here are people talking about backstories and who deserves them, who is the lolicon and who is not the lolicon. Really just enjoy the comic. I sure did. Lu was cute AF like usual and Ciel looked pretty adorable as a kid not gonna lie. Very cute story and I hope that they make more of these. With or without voices still would listen/read them.

Are you fucking kidding me? Lolicons are very vocal and self-righteous about their pedophilia (Oh, but lolicons aren’t pedophiles because they said so! I mean, have you been around Elsword forums at all? Lu has brought them out of the woodwork. They proudly display their “kawaii desu” Lu avatars and signatures. They do not hide it. At all.
Isn’t the issue about the appeal of moe and the checklist to be considered cute? Being younger and slender seems to be a big plus for people who are into cute girls. Artists seem to think the same, but only because younger girls are easier to draw since older characters are harder to dress properly.
Like how Lu can wear childish clothes and look normal, and still wear something like a office worker’s uniform without being awkward. Rena on the other hand would look rather strange in the former than the latter.
For the community, it’s just a phase. They went from Aisha > Eve > Chung > Lu as of now. If a new “cute”, young girl were to pop up, the community might switch their targets.
It’s not a phase. (Unfortunately. Virtually all anime and Japanese video games have sexualized loli characters these days because lolicons are one of the most profitable demographics. It is NOT going away until the industry finally implodes upon its self for catering solely to the few people willing to buy overpriced merchandise. There’s a reason why all anime these days are either manga adaptions, moe and/or loli shit, or those longtime running shows that refuse to go away like Pokémon.)
As long as Lu is “the token loli character” instead of a loli character, she’s going to continue dominating the fanart scene. (Especially Pixiv. It’s a Japanese site and Japan is the source of this madness after all.) And even if they do add a new loli character, they’re just going to draw her and Lu together. (And Ciel fanart completely disappears…..)
If it was about being “cute and flat”, then why has new Eve fanart been rare? And why does the Aisha and (anti-cute) Elesis fanart that still regularly appears give them bigger breasts/ignores that VP’s top binds her chest down?
And if it had anything to do with cuteness Ara would be much more popular…..
No, Lu’s popularity is because she aims at a specific group. One that Korean games tend to not aim at. (Other than Elsword, the only other kMMOs to have loli characters are Lunia, Trickster, Dragon Nest, and Kritika. Lunia and Trickster are dead and Nexon dropped KR Dragon Nest and I have no idea if anyone else picked it up. And virtually no one cares for Kritika these days. Are lolis poisonous to kMMOs? Well, the loli character was the last thing Trickster added before it died off and I think we all know of Elsword’s current situation…..)

And yes, it’s definitely lust. The Lu fanart I have to trudge through on Pixiv just to try to find Aisha and Ara pictures definitely proves that. (As does Chiliarch and Diabla’s outfits that KOG themselves designed.)
When I said phase, I was referring to how they move from one character to the next. The fetishes of the internet community will always persist.
Eve, it seems, wasn’t that popular in the fan art community even though she did help keep Elsword afloat.
When it comes to fan art, there are a lot of types of female characters for different demographics. When I wrote Aisha >…>Lu, I was trying to say that they were moving along to another character with varying results.
Their other characteristics could add to their popularity. That and I’m not sure, but wasn’t Aisha considered flat for awhile despite having a slightly different bust in her in-game avatar?
Aisha was considered flat because of the one ElType comic where she should jealousy over Rena’s breasts. Even though she was never flat ingame. Pair this together with people not understanding that breasts are mounds of fat that can be pushed into the body and VP’s outfit only further complicated things. And so when BtM came around, people acted as if Aisha magically grew boobs, when really all that happened was we got the first piece of game accurate artwork…..
…..Well, besides the soulless eyes. KOG replaced the DW portrait with a worse one but not the creepy BtM portrait. lolKOG.
I tried many times to enlighten the people by posting ingame screenshots of Aisha wearing outfits that show off her boobs. But….. well….. people are stupid.
Hell, there are some braindead morons going around trying to say Elesis and her mosquito bites are bigger than Aisha. She doesn’t even show cleavage in her CA artwork despite the chest coverage that prostitute outfit gives. And yet…..
