Where the hell is 2nd path KOG? shit…. Why don’t they just release full 3rd job instead of dividing into 3 different update? Is this some kind of tactic to get more money from the player?
2nd path pre-release event is this patch. 2nd path releases in two weeks. Them spacing out big content releases over multiple patches has always been a thing. Them spacing them out doesn’t even make them money, its just how they keep player retention rather than just having all 3rd job burn out immediately.
If you read the notes, you’d see that they’re doing the 2nd Path Pre-Event in this patch, which lasts for two weeks!
I actually like that they do it over multiple patches, because it gives me time to prepare for the next wave’s events beforehand.
it sucks for players like me cause most of my played characters are 3rd line…. the ones I play most ARE 3rd line…
at this rate, I won’t be able to play them on NA til February…. cause 3rd line KR is already guaranteed January at this rate (and probably mid January….).
I can toy with EM and VP for a moment, but the rest (DW, AS, TT, IS, Freyja, Ain’s 3rd, Demonio/Diabla, and NW) are just SOL for a LONG time…
only saving grace is that NA is about 3-4 weeks behind KR… sucks for EU players though who are damn near a year behind…
That just means you have MORE time to prepare for 3rd Path Pre-Event. Nobody’s forcing you to only use the path the pre-event is for. Don’t just look at the negatives: there are positives to it, too. Also, there’s a thing called PATIENCE!
Btw, Ain’s 3rd Path is Apostasia. Not really hard to remember, plus there’s a WIKI for you to fact check: the same one Babel is connected to.
i have an elrianode set and +11 legend perk weapon with oath of ruin and over 90% maxi on my DW (my main)… as for my alts… i honestly don’t give a crap so they’re all running +7 gear….
only thing i’d need to prepare is paying for the 3rd job change cause i don’t feel like grinding for tickets that drop at less chance than 5 unique elrianode fragments…
even then, i’m only rally gonna change my DW and AS unless I see something that amuses me on the rest…
bottom line, all i really have at this point IS THE 3RD CHANGES…. i’m not even logging into the game until it hits… cause there’s nothing else really aside from self imposed challenges (like heroic w/o a weapon or something, but that means removing it as soon as i enter)
Some people on the Void Elsword forums are running with the theory that they haven’t finalized the next 3rd Job designs yet and that’s why their previews are only for accessories instead of actually showing the classes…..
I wouldn’t be surprised considering it’s now going to be another two fucking weeks even though the gameplay additions of the 3rd Jobs are, as we’ve seen a few weeks ago, very minimal.
It’s also bad for me because the fanart community is drawing more Nazi Lu than any of the other 3rd Jobs. (And just Lu in general. Chiliarch is still getting new fanart because….. just look at her outfit.) I hate Nazis. I hate lolis. That’s a pretty dumb thought to be honest. The designs have to be finalized already, that’s just part of the development line. That has to be a given.
Now, is the artist done doing the full detailed renders? Well I mean probably for 2nd path given he has to pass it over for them to implement them in the next 2 weeks. 3rd job is up in the air, he could still be putting the final touches on those.
Still thinking the reason we don’t have actual cut-ins is because just that, the artist is on time constraints and couldn’t do portraits and cut-ins for all 40 classes. For all we know all the portraits have been done and he’s just working on the cut-ins for later.
Well considering they say they’ve been working on this for over a year and seem to be rushing things out just to make it out this winter, this is pretty inexcusable. And considering how rushed and not to mention lazy these 3rd jobs feel….. (Similar outfits, longer hair. Only AS and Vis/Asp feel like proper advancements over the previous job.)
They’ve already had to go back on their “all at once” promise to release them in batches. So yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised if they really are struggling with this.

Also, don’t First Jobs have similarities in their outfits with the base class outfits?

Actually I would consider this a buff. The only significant nerf in this patch was the double attack chance decrease. However with this change to the passive EP can now effectively proc 10 stacks of her passive reliably. This also means you can do it quicker than normal due to the ease of spamming actives. I’m assuming Rushing Sword will proc it every cast which means you can effectively have 4 procs for around 80 MP when before it was 1 stack for around 70. Additionally the increased attack speed of the sword largely overrides the damage decrease from the patch, and in my opinion it simply balances it. Without the damage decrease, I think the Guardian sword would be too powerful.

You can time Rushing sword instead of smashing the button it’s almost like doing the right rush then turn left rush it takes 4 secs to do 4 slashes and the skill has a limit of 5 so pretty much you can use it 5 times and use it again after 6 secs(without the gale buff + super armor trait).
Now if you ask me if this is pratical naah no one will care about the summon is just a plus in the field.
That is true and that’s my mistake for misreading it, however ignoring everything else I said because of a simple misread on one thing is ignoring the major factor that this change brought forth. My main points behind what I said was that the change in activation requirements massively buffs EP’s kit since it allows Guardian’s Sword to actually be viable without massively burning resources just to bring out a sword that barely attacks at all (Pre-patch). Now with the changes to activation and the increased attack speed the Guardian Sword is incredibly viable to use both in PVP and PVE. While yes, you do have to wait 2 seconds to stack another charge, 2 seconds is nothing comparatively to the time she would normally have to use to gain MP to use a special active to gain that same charge.

hell, it’s even your best method of dodging attacks since it still has that split second of super armor….
Dude, Blaze Step’s nerf was only making it disappear when mounting, which mounts are OP anyway, plus it doesn’t even affect PvP because you can’t mount in PvP!

Specifically targeted EM speedrunners, who can already make Debrian lab look like cannon fodder. The one dude in particular with highest ERP in the game is an EM main.

it also just now hit me, but IF KOG does end up making ANOTHER character… imagine all the stuff they’d have to do now for that character to catch up….
at bare minimum, 3 job routes, 3 changes each… that’s at least 10 appearances and sets of combos, abilities, passives, and so on…
quite frankly, i don’t think it’ll happen, but then again… stranger things have….
But think of it this way: they already have 12 characters with 3 paths and 3 Job Changes (2nd and 3rd paths getting their third jobs soon), at this point, adding more wouldn’t be all that surprising, because they’ve already done it 12 whole times.
and then we get more complaining along the lines of: “oh, that (insert whatever) is recycled!”
KOG is obviously running out of ideas and people bitching about whatever have to keep beating a dead horse to the ground… (i’m looking at you endgame, you’re one of the biggest offenders here)
Honestly people will complain if something new even vaguely resembles something a previous character could do. I just ignore it. Even if people were right about things being “recycled”, I’m more interested in how to make the most efficient use of the tools a new character has available to them, rather than how similar individual aspects are to that which came before.
If they’re gonna do that to Blaze Step, do the same to skills like Ultimate fury or Energy needles(can’t think of any other similar skill) you gotta be fair to everybody KoG.
Blaze Step gives a stat buff (Movement increase) as well as turning your character into a hitbox. Ultimate Fury and Energy Needles are simply attack skills that work while giving you the freedom to use other attacks.

I will admit that in a practical sense, there’s not a ton different between Blaze Step and, say, Ultimate Fury. Ultimate Fury may not give you a movement increase, but while it’s active you might as well be a giant walking hitbox, even though you actually aren’t.

oh one time when heroic was still pretty new, i wanted to queue me and my friends up for heroic wally’s castle but i ended up queuing us for the regular wally’s castle dungeon and the 1 random person we got in queue was capped too so we didn’t notice it wasn’t heroic until like a couple of mins

That’s why I’m really surprised, as no one is talking about titles since it’s the last dungeon, Elrianode titles aren’t really must haves other than the Get The Power title from 11-4 and maybe the Fragment Collector from 11-2.
But one title that did catch me by surprise was Is This Me? title from 11-1, pretty easy only killing 15000 specters in 11-1 and as a side you also got tickets and el fragments as well. The 6% double hit surprisingly deceptive, void wep+title=10% double hit and if you play on NA/INT unlike me you also have el turbine for another 5% thus making it 15% double hit chance.

Only solution now is anarchy.
I’d like to remain optimistic and believe that 2018 will be a massive defeat for the Republicans and that Mueller’s investigation + the 2020 election will be their end.
