    OK

    so
    another review for this week(?)

finally we got some action here
and maybe some more action on the next episode
but judging from the next episode preview
looks like we would got something more like “naruto-preaching-and-people-became-enlightened-and-repent-on-their-action-and-become-good-people” thing

    another thing
    Ara’s action is quite good
and this episode somehow enjoyable rather than any other episodes before this week
still hoping that KoG would at least maintain that

    still no sign from elesis
and we are almost in the last 3 episodes

i would humbly reminds you all again
please take this anime series as a spin-off rather than the actual story
since someone that should be never existed in grand cavern was came out already
and we all already know that they skipped Karis

maybe that’s all from me now
    oh
    one more thing
Scar is too f*ckin cocky here
and looks like he starts to replacing Karis
since Karis’ obsession to attack the “heavens” now becomes Scar’s obsession

    OK
    that’s all from me
    (maybe) see you next week

    • Endgame says:

It is interesting that they’re giving Scar’s Karis’ old motivation when they retconned Karis’ vendetta against the “angels” as of the Story Quest revamp. (Her dying words are now about Elrios bowing before the Demon Realm.)

…..Still, it was a bitch move for them to skip Sander (They have a priestess you know…..) and Karis just so they could drag out Lanox and barely even cover the source material for that as well. (The dwarves were pretty relevant to the plot since they crafted specialized equipment for the El Gang, but whatever.)

  • Takane says:

Ok but where the hell is Ain? They showed him in the first episode and decided that that’s enough? Seriously?

    • Endgame says:

Ain’s there. But he keeps fading in and out of existence and people’s memories because they’re ripping off Eunwol/Shade from Maple Story or something.

That, and if Ain were there he’d holy nuke lolScar and that would be the end of that.

    • Rokujou says:

I’m pretty certain that Ain was never meant to be part of the anime. The only reason that they added him to that bonus scene in episode 1 was to promote his release in the game. Why else would they show off episode 1 right before his release and then disappear for almost a year before finally “officially” releasing the series on a weekly basis?

  • TheLuiz says:

oh my god, they will make the “learn the rest of the story playing the game” shit and don’t adapt Atlas/Elysion/Elrianode. Next week its ep 10 and we are STILL in fucking Lanox. Dude, does the community like Ignia that much? Enough for this sentimental filler?

  • Vidle says:

Why the hell is Ran in this episode?

    • Endgame says:

Well, you have to admit it makes sense. Ran is still alive, yet we know he’s working for the same faction and that the whole “different factions of demons” theory was debunked. Yet he wasn’t there to help the demons’ goal in the game.

…..Hell, nothing about the whole thing makes sense. Scar is the defacto demon leader but he didn’t order the Glitter army that actually forced the El Gang to flee Velder to help defend the ritual? No Ran? What about other demon generals? Or were they really so understaffed that a brainwashed human got promoted to the position?

  • UltimateNibba says:

    Review:
    TRASH TRASH TRASH
    TRASH TRASH TRASH

  • Endgame says:

Scar STILL isn’t dead?! Sweet merciful Arceus…..

Well, I have to admit. Having Ran show up instead here is better than the game’s idea of forgetting him alongside all the other forgotten plot points like Velder being under Glitter occupation, the Dark Elves in general (It was supposed to be a big deal that Dark Elves were fighting alongside demons.), Helputt if they’re REALLY retconning that he blew himself up at the end of Temple of Trials, etc.

…..And why was this episode shorter than the others? No, seriously. This video was 12 minutes long when they’re usually 13-14 minutes. And that’s including the opening and ending themes. Is it budget problems from animating characters actually doing something?

…..Are they giving Lu special treatment? She DOES look consistently more detailed compared to the rest of the cast and less prone to bad animation than everyone else. Well, it wouldn’t be an anime if it wasn’t being hijacked by a loli, now would it?

I do like how most of the video thumbnails are stills of characters looking mad/sad. It’s almost like they’re acknowledging the characters don’t want to be in this shitshow.

    • LuckyDucky says:

Of course silly. Lu is the best character and has the most obsessive fans. They wouldn’t cheap out on animating your precious waifu. ;3

      • Endgame says:

Lu is hideous, an insufferable cunt, her backstory heavily ripped off Aisha and Eve’s, and she brought nothing new to the table as a playable character. Just rehashed versions of combos and skills other characters already had. (Namely her base job X mashing punchy combo being the same thing as RF’s.)

How pray tell, is she the BEST character?!

        • D says:

          First of all
enough with this debate, you two.
          Flat is justice
and yet Boobs are the humanity’s dream and hope
          what’s wrong with that?
just because you are worshipping one faction didn’t mean you must insults other faction
          don’t be like ind-*cough

          okay
          so
          about Scar
this is the first time i heard that this big guy is a DEFACTO demon leader
          i mean
he’s always cowered by elesis up to the extent that he must erase her at all cost
he even need to borrow artea’s power in order to do that (in the anime, at least) and he didn’t even count others as a threat
how come this guy become a demon leader?!
          but frankly speaking
this guy maybe worth it since he had enough brute force
          but hell
i still think Berthe is way much better

          where are glitters?
KoG already covered that part with Ain
in ain’s story, he went back alone to the palace and purify the dark el, closed the gateway up.
and the remaining glitters were already defeated by red knights and velder knights
          so yes
          they already covered it up

          about the others?
          i don’t know
          but i think
in the game’s continuity we will got some demon realm’s story and we would probably met again with people there

          • Endgame says:

Well, Lu’s sidestory says that there’s a bunch of other demons in the Demon Realm that rank even higher than Scar, including this “Demon King” who is the supreme ruler, Lu served under, and will probably be the boss of the next area. But everything else has presented Scar as the defacto leader. Hell, the anime is even saying that Lu was the supreme ruler of the Demon Realm (I think some of 2na’s older translations claimed this as well.) and is probably working with the angle that Scar is behind usurping her so he could do the whole revive Surt thing Lu didn’t approve of. (She said something about maintaining the balance of the worlds.)

As for Scar being afraid of Elesis….. well, yeah. She’s a Mary Sue and the chosen one. Oh, and she kicked his ass when he showed up one day trying to kill her while she was still a loli. How the hell did Scar become a leader indeed.

Berthe was definitely a lot better and more believable as the leader of a demonic invasion. After all, when one thinks of “demons”, you think unholy monsters of darkness here to ravage the world. Not….. blue elves. (And then there’s the whole Scar sucking as an area final boss in terms of gameplay thing.)

  • Anon says:

Considering how Ain hasn’t been in any of the episodes -even the first episode- since the official release of the anime, I get the impression they either decided to cut him out of the story entirely, or he will appear at the end and there will be a series of flashbacks to when he helped during the events of the entire anime but was forgotten.

    • Endgame says:

They’ll probably do something to show he was there all along.

But as I said in an above post, I’m pretty sure the real reason they’re not fitting him in is because he’s a divine being that shoots lots of lasers/swords/whatever and he’d destroy the demons. Can’t drag this shit out so long if Scar gets holy nuked as soon as he encountered Elesis. (Since Ain should be able to sense Scar and go follow Elesis despite her wishes.)

      • DeezNutz says:

I don’t get why u and a tiny amount of ppl keep think dat Elesis can do enything against Scar when she can maybe the El Lady but Elesis no : D

        • Endgame says:

Well, gee. It couldn’t possibly be the fact that the first thing Scar did upon his introduction was get wrecked by Loli Elesis, and now Elesis is a full grown woman that’s twice the size and now wielding a sword that’s bigger than her, could it?

Even the anime showed that Scar was getting his ass kicked before he tapped into Artea’s powers. “Oh my. Did I give you another scar~?”

          • Endgame says:

Oh, and he’s one of the easiest bosses in the game. A weaker boss compared to level 76-80 characters than Banthus is to level 15 characters.

And as of the latest episode he’s not even doing anything while letting everyone else fight (and kill) his minions. And then the good guys are going to get reinforcements. One of them being the girl….. I mean guy that singlehandedly wrecked Ran.

  • Endgame says:

So, is it just me, or is the anime flat out shipping Elbrat and Ignia?

I mean, it kinda makes sense. Elbrat is obsessed with big sis but that would be forbidden love, and Ignia DOES have a lot in common with Elesis. Especially when you remember one of her classes in Grand Chase was Spearman…..

  • Fisico says:

Every episode is like your waifu.
    Trash. (Excluding Eve and Ara)

  • Falkend says:

I just hope Rose make way even in the finals chapters…. yeah i want to see all those rage sheeps that still hate her.. even if is a baseless hate, … on that moment i will say The third Godess had decend

  • BlackTruth says:

I guess GM will just appear to save Elsword ass when he will confront Scar.

  • BlackTruth says:

For some reason, I can’t see my own comments. Is something wrong on my browser or site?

In fact, I even thought my first post was deleted or something.

    • Endgame says:

Probably something to do with your browser cache, although I have had posts I tried to post show up days later. (Usually when they contain links to other websites.)
