More like stupid Chung. He should understand better than anyone else. THE DEMONS CORRUPTED RAN USING THE EXACT SAME METHOD RAN USED TO CORRUPT HELPUTT.
Chung would rather save his father than kill him, yes? But when it comes to someone else’s brainwashed family member…..
Well, are you in his/her position if your family member gets corrupted? Think over that, of course you might want to avenge someone, and it’s most likely that Chung doesn’t know Ran is Ara’s brother since we haven’t seen him up until this clear video.
I’d imagine Ara would have been shouting at Ran and trying to reason with him the entire battle. Giving it away that Ran is in fact, Ara’s brother Aren that she surely should have told SOMEONE about.
At least Elbrat, Aisha, Rena, Raven, and Eve should know. She was retconned into joining the group in Feita. Surely she had to tell them why she was in Feita in the first place.
We can’t assume such things without any indication. Especially not when the Velder video showed Ara with the rest of the group while Rena and Eve were the ones absent. It does not seem like Ara is one to seperate herself from the rest of the group.
Not to mention the Hamel stage revamp added the cutscene with Ran and Sasha well before you actually fight him. So Ara had plenty of time to know that Ran was there, and I SERIOUSLY doubt she’d seperate from the rest of the group when Ran is right in front of her.
so they made an idiot out of her and canon-ified more “white” classes. meh. boring.
though I will admit amusement to them making it clear the villains are actually stupid enough to be taking turns instead of all causing trouble at once.
Actually, the original story had Ara running into Karis while hunting down Ran. The two ended up fighting and the commotion is what led the group to meeting Ara.
They never explained what exactly Karis was doing in Hamel, but she was there. Only to be retconned out…..
Also retconned out of the story by KOG: Berthe being in Ruben, which is what led to Elbrat, Aisha, and Rena even meeting in the first place.
By saying that it’s okay for Chung to kill Ran, you are saying that it is okay for Ara to kill Helputt and that Chung would be in the wrong for protecting him.
Helputt was brainwashed into killing people just like Aren was. (And through the exact same method.) Therefore, by saying Ara is wrong to save Ran is saying that Chung would be wrong to protect Helputt if someone was trying to kill him.
Mhm, that last shot where Ara destroys the missile, you can see (i believe i saw it at least) her anguish, she loves her friends and will protect them but is torn to protect Ran.
I think at this point, the elgang meets chung for the first time.
What i think happened was that Chung and Ara went into Halls after getting intel of a demon staying there, Ara heads off on her own as did Chung, to see what’s up.
What’s really confusing is that in Eltype, the elgang meet both Chung and Ara at Hamel…so i’m a little lost here as we see Ara in the Feita clear movie…
Would be nice of KOG to ave both game, movie clears and eltype to work together at the very least >.>
at this point I’ve had to conclude that kog` can’t into coherence.
all the story events ingame that clash. all the official classpath explanations that get a different story ingame even at the class’ initial release. all the plot retcons to allow for things like add the secret root of half the game’s problems. etc etc etc.
they should stop being cheapasses and higher a writer with a clue and actually have everything match.
is TR a TR because rena joined nightsavers? is TR a TR because echo gave her a cool knife? and so on.
ingame events made it seem to me that helmutt went evil to halfass the job and hold things up for chung to get away from hamel alive. ran. . . well, my YR called out to him in one winquote and in another basically just went “brother’s moves are strong, I better watch out”.
kinda bugs me that even with finding aren meant as ara’s entire motivation, they couldn’t manage to squeeze in much more than standard “oh look a boss” commentary.
then again. >raven VS raven. also how the bethma clear vid shows raven in shirtless mode like once he joins the party while he’s still evil, and yet he’s got his shirt on when the fight starts and the ominous ragged cloak is gone.
…..geh. all the inconsistency is getting me ranting again.
While it is true that KOG is terrible at writing and keeps on retconning everything and screwing things up. (See: Berthe no longer being in Ruben as of the Field update that made Banthus stealing Ruben’s now single El what started everything. Elbrat fighting Berthe is what led to Aisha finding him, and the argument that happened as a result was what led to Rena finding them.)
However….. the “Raven fighting Raven” complaint is one of the dumbest criticisms of the whole thing. Even the stage clear quotes, even if they do regularly act as if the character is there long before they canonically join, manage to avoid this issue. Raven does not fight himself. Ara does not start out in Ruben. These are just gameplay mechanics not properly seperated from the story.
Of course, KOG could do a much better job with the whole thing. Have Story Quest dialogue the same for everyone and most importantly, HAVE DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE PLAYABLE CHARACTERS instead of what they do now.
Yeah, but a lot of people don’t care about the lore, so it’s not really their priority. But as you can see they are slowly ninja-retconning the story of the game.
Wow, really?!
I really can’t blame Ara though, his her only family left, it’s rather sad…
So did chung’s father it made no sense for Ara to make intervention. Chung could have easily finished him off.
Stupid Ara
Don’t forget, Ara wants to save her brother, not kill him and the entire elgang are aware of that and have offered to her to find a way to do it.
She looked up to her brother, to lose him would break her. Which was probably why she got in the way.
And i’m not blaming Chung for wanting to kill him, afterall he wants revenge for what Ran did to his father and home.
It’s a slippery issue that the elgang will have to figure out on their own.
More like stupid Chung. He should understand better than anyone else. THE DEMONS CORRUPTED RAN USING THE EXACT SAME METHOD RAN USED TO CORRUPT HELPUTT.

Chung did not know ran was ara brother. You cannot assume that.
As for Ara stupid ass fuck.
When Ran comes back to exact his revenge.
We can safely blame Ara
So wait, who was that directed at? @Milk
@Endgame, I’m just spitballing here, but what if she didn’t have time to if she only just arrived when the battle was about to be over?
We can’t assume such things without any indication. Especially not when the Velder video showed Ara with the rest of the group while Rena and Eve were the ones absent. It does not seem like Ara is one to seperate herself from the rest of the group.

Actually your wrong because Ran allowed himself to be taken by the demons
Endgame u happy now
That KOG actually let ARA have her moment without Elesis completely overshadowing her very existence?
…..Actually, I’m quite scared. If this isn’t a sign of the Apocalypse, then what the hell is?!
The sad thing is that she just made herself look like a villian to the Elgang in this video.
She kinda had too, her goal was to save her brother not kill him…
I think it’s here that the elgang has quite a dilemma
We already had the apocalypse and that was MM’s hyperactive
keep up the good work 2na <3
so they made an idiot out of her and canon-ified more “white” classes. meh. boring.

Okay everyone, let me point out something:
By saying that it’s okay for Chung to kill Ran, you are saying that it is okay for Ara to kill Helputt and that Chung would be in the wrong for protecting him.
Helputt was brainwashed into killing people just like Aren was. (And through the exact same method.) Therefore, by saying Ara is wrong to save Ran is saying that Chung would be wrong to protect Helputt if someone was trying to kill him.

If only they did a better job. The story is kind of cliche and are trying to make the story fit the game mechanics.
This I can agree with.
Mhm, same here.
