Since Ain is simultaneous release across KR and NA (JP too and I dunno wherever else) I will only update about him on babel if there’s anything that’s different in KR.
Same goes for other KR contents since other servers are catching up rapidly.

At this point…I think you’re right. Multi server update is just too odd. Games just don’t do THAT. Wouldn’t that be a loss of money if people dish in cash to prepare for new updates from another server.

Feels weird to me. NA is usually behind KR. If NA plans to also implement the solace dungeons and magically catch up to KR in one or 2 updates, I really don’t want to hope that this is KoG’s last resort as the game was kinda going downhill.
Im gonna try to breakdown this char with the limited info.
For now imma disregard the henir cubes.
So looking at how he has 2 different portraits, 1 with him being green and normal and the other with his hood on and he turns blue, he might be like Add and Ara where he changes when he awakens. Also, I noticed that blue halo above his head, similar to how the Elysion NPC’s had a halo on their head. Now, this leads me to believe that he might be a nasod. However, he has no nasod-like features, his skin looks normal, so does his eyes, and he has no sign of a core. So, I think he might be a genuine angel. Also, the “Do not blend into their world and disturb what is right or wrong for them.” I guess that means that he was sent by god or someone divine. Which would be nice because that means he has a meaningful story. Also, I feel as though he has been here on Elrios for a while now. The mention of the unfullfilled purpose and the el being scattered makes me skeptical. So, he might have been here before the el explosion and that might be linked to his purpose. Please notice that his color themes is similar to Harnier (El lady) but at the same time looks similar to Ebalon. Although, this is just a theory, but if you remember the mysterious voice at the end of Solace memory, it sounded like Ebalon, so now that adds more as well.
Please, remember that he will be the first Character in Elsword’s new story line where we believe that Elsword agreed with Solace’s plan to stop the Rubenians from taking away more El ladies. Also, keep in mind that Rose is going to be put into this new main story-line so we don’t know if him and rose will meet up. Also, considering that Elsword made his decision, Ain may be for or against his choice to stop relying on the el. (Notice on his pendulum there is an El Crystal in the middle of it)
This so far is very interesting, I don’t see him as a physical attack char, but more of a mag attack char. And lets note that he actually looks like a SANE, not EVIL, and isnt associated with Demons. Also, he uses a PENDULUM which isn’t really common in games or anime (Yugioh does not count).

Add? But Add doesn’t change appearance in Awakening, except for his Sclera as DiE. I think you meant Chung.
Anyway, I’m not sure about the blue portrait myself, but I actually hope he DOESN’T change in Awakening. I happen to prioritize style over effectiveness myself, which is why I always use only 2 beads with my Chungs (And don’t say that it’s dumb – I’m not a competitive player and I don’t play PvP)
It’s also why I don’t use Magical Makeup, Altar of Evil, Transcendence, Diabolic Disaster, or plan to use Abyss Extinction (I do like Eun Mode, though).
Yes. Add goes into soon kind of electric mode and he levitates and I believe one or 2 of guys promos show him with his hood on when he awakens. Also, shit DiE, look at Ains sclera in the blue picture… It changed, just like DiE did. So he may very well have an awakened version where he changes form.Also, I actually like the whole transformation concept. It adds more hype in my opinion.

Okay? He may be electro-powered, but I don’t consider that a “transformation”. It’s just his Dynamo Configuration. As for DiE’s sclera, it’s just part of his face, as using a custom face does NOT cause his sclera to change.
There’s still a chance that the blue coloration is just part of his promotional costume, as like I said, I do NOT want him to transform when he awakens like Chung does.
Um DiE only shows his black sclera during awakening… Sooo ok. And why don’t you. He’s an angel I think it’s ok if he transforms.

What I’m trying to say is that I’d prefer it if HE DOESN’T TRANSFORM AT ALL because then I’d have no reason to avoid using Awakening.
Tbh, I’m actually kind of mad that Deadly Chaser has a passive that makes 1/2 Bead Awakening have a chance to go into Berserk, because let’s be honest, why would ANYONE who uses Berserk Mode use only 1/2 beads?!
That said, if they did something to allow us to customize transformations, then it wouldn’t be a problem.

Interesting tidbit that nobody really cares about, if this character is released on December 15th (it likely will), this will be the 7th character to be released on the 3rd Thursday of December. Interesting to note :3 also there were talks of Ain having a “berserk mode” from the devs so it’s possible this could be linked to his hooded mode for awakening.
Didn’t Kog do the simultaneous release thing for NA and KR with Rin from Grand Chase a week or two after she was released in Brazil? Also got a odd Zamasu vibe from “Do not blend into their world and disturb what is right or wrong for them” don’t know why but I thought about him when I read that.
As for the balance patches I have a feeling it’s some sort of attempt to set up a world tournament for Elsword……. maybe.
I dunno, but even if that was true, she wouldn’t have been new anyway.

Also, I feel like the reason why na is getting him at the same time as kr is only because the biggest amount of cashers plays there, so they kog went into the ‘asslick’ mode and they want to squeeze them even more before shutting down elsword, because, let’s be honest, that will happen sooner or later (rather sooner I think)…

Kog get really mad after the bad way have done all the servers and bought all the servers they could (Europe its retarded) and started to UPDATE THEM and make the same line balance in all the games staff of each serv are thesame but the information they get its much bigger that why kog started to balance the game nerfing op chars and balancing the damage, to have all servers coordinated.
I really hope Ain is related to Glaive in some way. I’m hoping maybe he is Glaives identity before his punishment, bit it’s just wishful thinking?

Lol, I hope KoG isn’t thinking that people will rush back to play, because of this character.
I mean to be fair KoG, while not having the best balancing sense, has been showing a looot better improvement in content creation. The balances are better, ERP was a fantastic idea (albeit what you can actually GET from it is a little..) the new dungeons are much better, and in general the new things they’re doing are just more enjoyable than before. The way I see it Ain could be potentially really fun or just broken again. Rose was actually balanced when she released (except CrR) and then they buffed her damage and skills to high heaven and made her broken. Hopefully we can get a balanced character like before and they just don’t buff him to high heaven and make him not fun xD
Because making new characters is all KOG knows how to do.

Recycling assets is a practice every video game developer ever commits.
…..We just give KOG a harder time about it because it’s all they do these days. (Rose I won’t hold against her since Female Gunner actually predates Elsword and they were just converting her already existing skills. Even if the implementation was skills that already existied in Elsword.)
But hey, if Ain actually manages to be a new character that actually brings new playstyles and skills (Add only had one original skill and Lu & Ciel had none. Everything else was basically already existing skills with new animations if even that.) I will be pleasantly surprised.
It actually isn’t.
The symbols on Hell Drop feature a lot more curves and don’t have any dots. More reminiscent of actual calligraphy.
The ones in Ain’s teaser feature less brush like strokes and more sharp edges as well as the use of diamond dot forms.
In fact the symbols for Ain’s teaser actually correspond to actual letters apparently translating to German.
So we have a different decal in the same set of assets for a skill that carries the same set of properties as another?
Is it just me or is this character release really sudden and less hyped?
When I think about Luciel, boy that characters so hyped when it was first released. Everybody was like “SHOW ME THE CLAW” or whatever. Only the week of their release, servers were flooding in NA. Everybody was raising them to cap before the first job came out. There was extreme lag everywhere because everybody was trying to play LuCiel.
And the Rose came along. The first leak was poorly timed. Everybody was angry (more than usual) at that time. She was nowhere close to how hyped Luciel was
Now there is Ain. You can argue about the pattern (new character every December), but I don’t think many people were expecting him to show up, especially after the story JUST ended. Also the first time I’ve heard of him was through a small leak on elwiki. Then there was that random promotion poster that appeared out of nowhere on the Elsword page. I mean…people are happy that it’s a male character, but everything is just getting less and less hyped.
In addition, there is that multiserver release. Not sure if it is a good thing or not. To me, it actually lowers the hype.
Finally, I really can’t see him fitting into the story much. I think his storyline will come from a different angle. Maybe he will appear after the “ending”.??? Maybe he is a product of Elsword’s decision???

Ara was sudden and lacking in hype too. She just suddenly appeared on the KR Elsword website one day. And then we all know what happened after her release and we were still waiting on her other job paths…..
And Ain doesn’t pander to the lowest common denominator the same way Edgy McEdgelord and the loli cancer with a “She’s really thousands of years old you guys!” excuse that falls flat (She reverse aged back into prepubescence.) do. (And even then, that’s JAPAN’S lowest common denominator. As far as I can tell, South Korea does not share Japan’s obsession with little girls. And South Korea is clearly the only market KOG actually cares about…..) So of course he’s not getting much hype beyond the cancerous part of the Elsword fanbase that’d cheer for anyone with a penis at this point.

The way you worded that last part made it sound like the Elsword fanbase was pure gay. I mean nothing is wrong with that, and I get where you’re coming from, (I’m part of that fanbase tbh) but chill. But, I still disagree with him not being Hyped. Everyone in NA is craving this.
Well, the fanart response has certainly been lacking compared to Add or Lu. (Ciel only gets fanart because he’s associated with Lu. True story.) There’s already more Ain fanart than Rose fanart. But y’know. The Koreans still hate Rose. (Yes, I know there’s plenty of female Gunner fanart out there. But there’s very little for Rose. Not even group shots include her.)
And not even KOG cares about the NA forums having their collective lips wrapped around KOG’s cock. They only care about KR. They’ve made this perfectly clear by now.
If you’re looking for fan art of Ain and not finding much, you aren’t looking hard enough, same with Ceil.

I go through the KR website and Pixiv. (Both sources becoming much slower than they used to be in terms of the flow of artwork.)
Pixiv did indeed have an explosion of Ain pictures, but it was small compared to what Add and Lu got.
Not hyped? Um…He’s the first char that I’ve actually shown a bit oh hype for. I’ve only been hype about 3 chars EVER in this game. Raven release, Ciel (fuck Lu) release and now Ain. He’s the only char that seems to be closely related to henir, he’s the only angelic/good char. (Like seriously, we’ve had way too many dark shit going on.) I mean, I agree his release is a bit sudden but tbh I think of him as the REAL 11th char of Elsword. I was dissapointed and mad at rose. I wish they woiuld’ve released him during the Elysion story cause he’s an angel and Elysion was centered around angel-type (get it?) areas.
On top of that, he looks exactly like Ebalon! So that adds to the hype. I don’t see what the problem is. I think that Elsword is in need of something NEW. We’ve had too much of the same old nerf/buff routine, the same old dungeons, sure we got closure in Elysion but we need MORE! I think this char came at a more or less right time.

Well it’s a safe assumption given that even Ara who was original upon release ended up with copypaste + recolor the class in Asura, Elesis and Add were blatantly advertised as rule 63 versions of pre-existing characters, Rose was literally sent from another game’s world (It’s in her backstory!), and everything about Ciel was stolen from Raven (And some attacks from Chung.) except he’s an incesteous pedophile instead of racked with guilt.
KOG could copypaste characters from Grand Chase instead and we’d still get fresher, newer gameplay experiences for Elsword than the “new” characters KOG has been releasing for Elsword.
Fuck, even with Elesis if they used Savior as her base instead of making her Elbrat 2.0…..

endykins talks about the late days of grandchase. think of it this way: at least they haven’t hit the tipping point of “now we introduce edgy mcedgemaster whose story is “I kill everyone else because ending the world is what I do, the end.” with elsword. edgelordesis and DiE have lots of edge, but she’s just edgy to aim for that crowd and DiE’s having a temper trantrum because he underestimated how much work he had to do to change his own history. give him a double marshmallow prison via shura and WS, that ought to calm him down.
it’s a shame elsword was never good enough to get the kind of community that does shit like the RO community did in making eAthena. it could be a good game, if only people who aren’t kog` handle balance.
