I must admit she deserved it
Did she really though? At least in terms of PVE where it seems this balance patch is being centered around?
Iron Body – Strong isn’t a PVE skill and you know it.
If you’ve bothered to play Elesis a day in your life you’d know it’s very helpful in PVE, especially the iframes it used to provide.
If you’re fighting bosses with one hit skills but do a ton of a damage (I.e Dekal) using Stoic-Strong would negate his attack without having to worry about timing skills instead. This is crucial in Hero – (Hell Mode) where even the slightest error can land you dead.
yeah it has the whole thing of 20% dmg(i still think proveke is better cos it also increases team dmg, but certanly not crazy to dare and use it on Heroics) buff and 1 stoic while in gale so its still sort of usefull in PvE, but yeah it deserved a nerf and it’ll basicly only PvP since in PvE you have more time to plan attacks in general, i would actually say that in PvP the skill shouldn’t work with trans ether, cos you know thoes anoying players that spam iron body on PvP, its supouse to be a range counter but its like a bit overpower sometimes
2X COOLDOWN, YOU GUYS OK. THATS PURE STUPID COOLDOWN. IT MAKES THE SKILL EXTREMELY USELESS, BECAUSE THEY ALREADY REMOVED THE INVISIBILITY FRAMES. PEOPLE BEAT ELESIS A LOT WITH THE STOIC SO ADDING THIS NERF JUST MAKES PEOPLE ABUSE HER MORE. CHECK THE BOARD. ITS FILLED WITH ARA,BM , ROSE. What even are you talking about? Iron body is already almost worthless as it is, because all it takes for the time to run out is use awakening and like….1 other skill. As it is, elesis is crazy weak, and even if they don’t just run the timer out with skills, all they have to do to run down the timer by avoiding it is double jump onto a higher platform, which is the case in like…. 85+% of pvp maps. It’s never been an OP skill, not even a little. It’s like mana break, but just slightly better. If you’re nerfing iron body, may as well address raven and elsword, with their <40MP skills that not only get them out of sticky situations, but also allow them a free catch as well.

What is it with KOG and nerfing all the ‘Flag skills’ from all the classes though? If almost every other skills were buffed.

All these idiots apparently think the iron body nerfed killed Elesis… It just means she won’t repel anymore meaning you can continue to hit her and if she iron bodies she can hit you during the combo without the initial knockdown stoic used to have.

Actually sir/ma’am, her Iron Body still repels. But Elesis used to have invulnerablility during it, letting her completely bypass multihit skills that ends quickly, and if they used it at the right time, she can completely just miss an entire skill based on how much long skill delay is and how long the skill lasts.
This Nerf is virtually crippling to her because not only does she lose that invincibility but cooldown is increased by 2. People can now exploit her stoic and cause more damage on her than usual. It is now COMPLETELY unusable
This. It forces her to mana break like everyone else.
Having her own superior mana break that negated hits had a LOT to do with why she was so overpowered. (Especially with CA who used to take out chunks of the opponent’s HP just for breaking out of a combo.)
Elesis was even the one character who could break out of Hyper Actives. (If matches even last long enough for them to be used anymore.) This skill really was broken.
Ok so how would she mana break when she is in annihilation aura. Ara’s will just abuse this because Ara has skills that suck out annihilation aura + their stuns, and we have bms that bypass her stoic too. Now you adding so much nerf. i mean 2x cooldown, come on we all know the cooldown is bs. I am ok with the invisibility frames removal
It wasn’t broken so much as abusable. Shadow Step lost its i-frames so Stoic Strong had to be next.
I wouldn’t call it crippling either. The whole idea behind the skill is to break yourself out of tight spots, not spam it so hard that you substitute it for a mana break directly. CrA in particular was the primary culprit of this.
Elesis players these days don’t rely on Stoic Strong though. If you were carried by that, you most likely haven’t hit SSS rank without playing against complete scrubs or going through over 100 matches.
UNub I mean ranking is basicly a lame stats war, so everyone is basicly so stupidly gear carry that they need close to no skill but whatever, but yeah Iron body for both Elsword and Elesis main problem is how easily abuse it can be
I was seriously hoping her Iron Body didn’t get needed TOO BAD but imo it kinda makes it USELESS.
Don’t get me wrong. It was pretty OP but cmon now every character has their own unique skill that gave them an edge and Iron Body was one of the most notable for her.
TL;DR they could have at least not put a 2X cool down on it now that it can’t even negate DMG and just downright leaves her prey to skills hitting her even more just for using Iron Body.
Maybe tone it down to 1.5x? But hey I guess everyone’s gotta get their share of being gutted out…
she still has control over her stoic bar(she can literally play without it on PvE), and it was an unfair advantage in PvP, and most likely it’ll still be, since how spamable it is
It wasn’t so much unfair in PVP as much as ERP made it unfair.
It’s basically a 120 mp mana break (that over the amount to actually start mana breaking), if you get the resource consumption decrease trait it’ll make it 102 (still over that of an actual mana break). You can’t catch off of it either. The only class that could even somewhat justify the excuse of it being unfair is CA, due to the fact hers deals damage. But, it deals so little damage you can hardly consider it to be an advantage, especially since at least one class of every character as of late has a skill where they can escape a combo and deal damage at the same time (hell in most cases catch off the skill(s) at the same time). What advantage or unfair advantage does the skill even provide at that point though? The only one I can think of is you can mana break “faster” thus taking less damage because you don’t have to bother with charging the mana bar. And that’s basically it.
So, instead of nerfing Stoic-Strong (AGAIN) they could have nerfed ERP even more than what they nerfed it now. Or just completely make it ineffective in PVP, where it shouldn’t even be allowed to be used in the first place.

Im a NA player and this is messed up, I have mained elesis from when she was released, I’ve played all three classes including their trans, doing that to Iron-Body that is ridiculous, 34 seconds for 102 mana break, really? really? how is that fair, then add 34 to Magical makeup, shadow step, all buffs and seal of time, or just remove, I get it you are trying to remove iframe from skills like that, then remove it from all skills like S2, Elesis has always ways been reasonably fair, and pushed it a little *cough CrA release cough*, but this makes her harder to play with
The kog do not know how to ruin pg, so I hope they lose so many players, and so much money, I say they settle things as they are now, if their bank account begins to diminish after these utopias …
