So I just heard about the Magic Wardrobe situation in NA.

    …..

    LOL!

    • Dundershock says:

yep it’s dead you can only store Item Mall costume looks and accessories broke

    • Roy says:

noone bothers using it tbh lol

        Speak for yourself.

I think it’s funny though how these people spent money to look a certain way. Never cared about that magical wardrobe crap anyway. It has 2 uses; Look different to fool a player, or look different to look a certain way. It’s just another way for them to get your money. THE OUTFITS ARE NOT REAL QUIT TRYING TO LOOK PRETTY IN A GAME IT JUST MAKES YOU LOOK PRETTY STUPID.

          • Flare Kyn says:

You clearly don’t understand why customization is important to us.

          • MagicSpice says:

you do know some players pick a class or character just to look at something attractive right?

there’s fanboys or fangirls of EVERY class, some particularly for that reason. or did you forget that eve is the game’s biggest dress up doll due to that?

hell, even a few youtubers said that just mashing together any random thing and looking like a jumbled pile of crap doesn’t seem right

          • Flare Kyn says:

            @MagicSpice Exactly.

I have a hard time looking at my own character when he/she is just wearing mish-mashed stuff that doesn’t even match with the other pieces.

    • Family size welch says:

They said it was going to be better too, zzz, i tried so many times to register an equipment until someone told me

    • Falken says:

They said the MW will be updated every now and then…. i wonder how much time till all the released costumes can be used in MW…. 4 more years ? make your bets..

    • Flare Kyn says:

It’s just a compatibility test atm. They’re gonna update it in the future.

      • Zack says:

thats fine and all, notsuew why they have to amp it up and stuff like “Try the new MW function!”.
Though it is interesting that the black/red trump bunny costume made a reappearance in the Item Mall.

      • UNub says:

The entire issue with the infrastructure that the genius programmer who designed MW at KOG is that you have to individually code everything that you can put into the friggin’ MW. So from a design perspective, it’ll be ages before we actually start to get everything working since NA just got the system.

All of this could’ve been avoided had they just added a separate tab to the user UI so that it’d cover whatever you’re wearing unless the slot is empty. Simple to code, test and fix. But argh, what’s done is done. Nobody suggested anything since they weren’t really asking questions/attempting to revise the system but we had plenty of time to do something about it, or at least talk about it.

        • Flare Kyn says:

That does make sense, though I also think there are benefits to doing it this way. For example, if you wanted a specific look depending on which costumes you wear, you wouldn’t have to manually change your own look in addition to changing your costume out.

        • UNub says:

Nah bro you don’t get it. This system needs KOG to code in something to the MW before you can actually wear it, and we have well over 300 costumes in the game now. Greatly inefficient.

If they just made the separate UI tab we’d get the same actual impact of MW without the need for all this massive coding.

          • Flare Kyn says:

It wouldn’t be the same, though. As I said, what if you want your looks to match with your stats? Like, using myself for an example, I want to use a different look when using Ice Burners than when using normal costumes. It’s be a pain to have to not only click another tab, but change out the visual-only costumes just once, let alone EVERY TIME!

          • Malle says:

This nerd language is killingme. Code this, code that…is this the Matrix!?

    • Malle says:

They are releasing it on sections. Unlike KR who released it all at once and had a lot of bugs and glitches, NA was smart enough to release it in waves so they can catch the bugs and glitches KR wasn’t smart enough to deal with.

      • Flare Kyn says:

        I guess that’s true.

      • . says:

You’re wrong there, KR is the mother server where the KR players are the test subjects that find glitches and fix them and then THEY GIVE IT TO YOU NA players with the fixed patches. You think NA magically fixes it all? Well you are wrong, the only glitch NA fix are their own content. How I know? Because I play both server and know all the glitches that were fixed.

        • Flare Kyn says:

Remember, NA needed to rework Magic Wardrobe due to a database compatibility error, so the fact that KR is essentially the test server doesn’t mean shit for Magic Wardrobe.

        • Endgame says:

NA has had plenty of glitches that KR never had. Like the one that gave Ara cross-eyes upon release.

KOG is uniquely terrible at what they do.
