I legit think I jizzed my pants. Someone at KOG deserves $500 which I have in my pocket right now. God. We need more changes like this, not necessarily nerfing IS more, but damn this is the best patch I’ve seen in over 4 years.
The nerf to Sword Fall was kind of needed. The thing was waaaay to good for 150 MP with critical trait. Phantom Sword is still gonna be as good as it always is and 300 MP in destruction mode and instead of 15 seconds(18 seconds with Killing Blow (1) for 5% critical damage, and yes it does affect how long it lasts which a lot of people don’t know) 10% critical damage for the whole duration? 32.5 with killing blow (1)? On top of that IS’s MP gain is really good so getting 300 MP is going to be no issue cause it’ll put you in vitality.
Nonono. IS gives mp million times more than he gains, plus he’s a dps (combo) character. He does the most damage using actives and with his high KD only letting you do about 4 zzz loops, your going to get at least 150 mp. That’s way too little. And phantom sword being destruction is honestly not needed unless the sword itself does destruction damage cause 2 hits of sea isn’t at all useful. At the very least, if they were going to make it 300 mp, they should keep it vitality so we don’t waste our mp because there are characters who can run like he’ll and we’d have absolutely no way to catch with less than 50 mp
The sword is basically a second hitbox. While the activation is locked to a specific color, the hits it does from commands are the same color as the command itself, meaning both gain and usage are increased while it’s active.
WAIT THEY CHANGED IT TO DESTRUCTION?! NO!!! NOW I CAN’T HAVE BOTH PHANTOM SWORD AND FINAL STRIKE IN MY SKILL BUILDS!
… That also means… Unlimited Blade is the only Vitality Bravery Skill that IS has access to…
Well, at least Arma Blade’s Enhanced effect now lasts for the duration of the skill and not just 10 seconds.
@Flare Kyn No it is still likely to run both. As for IS’s phantom sword’s enhanced effect also lasts for the whole duration on top of that giving 10% critical damage and the enhanced effect is affected by KB(1) so now that it’s 30(Previously 25) seconds you can have it last 39.5(130% if my math is correct). So when the cooldown is finished you still have 9 seconds to recast it again which is A LOT of time compared to 2 seconds
@NoctisCae1um Not with how I have my skills, ’cause I don’t like having two Special Actives that are both the same type (Tenacity, Strength, or Bravery) and the same color when using Elboy or Elesis.
@Unknown I had to reread your comment to understand but you’re talking about for PvP which I do not care for nor play it anymore, since every balance patch I only look at the dungeon stats. PvP yes it’s not as good as before but in PvE it is quite the buff cause 300 MP from From Destruction to Vitality is very easy to obtain again for IS especially cause MP burning passives and at the same time burning MP adds to his own MP pool.

Actually the purpose for it is for multiple targets, they’re basically solidifying VP’s death in PVP and posing her purely as a PVE class (As if it wasn’t obvious already.) The skill is trash now but it’s still worth it in PVE if you can’t drop a pot every 10 seconds.
Yeah, and it’s without “true” and all. With true, you’ll spend 30 MP and recharge 30 MP. But that’s still sad…

but a way to help is to get MP cost reduction, there’s quite a few sources to get that
also, it steals from up to 3 enemies so you use 30 MP to steal a potential 60
normally, she would gain 95mp from 3 enemies (if she’s tc and mana intake’s enchanced). after the first nerf, she would only gain 75mp. after this one nerf, she would only gain at most 60mp 3 enemies. her first tc passive, which allows the mp consume to decrease if there’s no enemy nearby, won’t effective anymore now that her range is also nerfed.

GA players need to learn optimal builds, Siege was already one of the best dps skills in the game. If you think her PvE has ever been weak post-renewal, you’re completely nuts.

Luc GA’s sige is the strongest and main part of her dmg
specially since she can use it without even needing to have the skill on bar cos its a command for her (if you’re saying have you played a GA before you should at least know that, its like knowing her guideds are all crap in PvE), like with TT’s sige commands

I specifically wanted to have both Phantom Sword and Final Strike, but I don’t like having two Bravery skills of the same color, so Final Strike is now off my IS builds as I personally find Phantom Sword to be better, but it still hurts me that I can’t have Final Strike anymore.

I also want LK’s Third Job to have a Vitality Strength skill so I can replace Windmill (I found that I don’t use it much).

so uh…. can we just remove auto guard now since it’s pretty much useless :T
Mana Intake:

Hunter’s Steadiness:

Maybe if Auto Guard worked the same as IP’s Strong Will. The long cooldown was to avoid spaming Roll, but now it you just cant use it they should reduce the CD or delete it, so maybe now LK can really be a pseudo tank class.
Right? I see no reason for Auto Guard to even exist, they should remove it for something else.

Oh my lord, they buffed Impact Zone’s damage…. lemme just clarify this….
Currently in NA, it does about 800% and can hit up to 32 times when it wall rapes something in PvE… so that’s over 25,600% potential damage. But then add on heavy trait and it’s over all damage is 1.4 times higher so it’d be over 35,840% potential damage…
but now it’s gonna be 1162% for a potential 37,184% damage, and heavy trait increases that to 52,057.6% (just say 52,058%) potential damage….
It’s bad enough her hyper does over 40,000% damage, now her 300 MP trans skill can be the game’s best wall rape move (and highest potential damage in the game i think)…. and this is on top of a 10 second sand blast effect (which is rather good in PvE due to her mob control with pushing/pulling skills)…
i think KOG just lost it, cause this is easily the most OP buff I’ve ever seen….

I’am quit if this happened to NA/Int server. i just like GA because even not mass maller damage can close or same like the other maller. except they nerf +10 to +13 not increasing insane amount of attack.
So, to sum up, they split the damaage modifiers for pvp and pve? havent checked news in a while.
The only absurd nerf here is VP’s mana intake, while the rest are good as balanced (3rd job is coming which means new plethora of skills, discard that old meta build and create a new build for both PvE and PvP) tbh i am quite happy about GA’s hunter’s steadiness mp gain remove since the new IB sets give absurd amounts of mp gain and nerfing Gungnir is the right choice since it can literally overpower (only 240 mp) her HA and yes i disagree on VP’s mana intake nerf, KoG please if u are nerfing mp gain skills THEN F-ING NERF ASURA’S MANA STEAL, IT DEALS DAMAGE, CONSUMES EASY ACQUIRED ENERGY AND RESTORES 100+ MANA (w/ trait)
gungnir only did more dmg than her HA to stupidly big bosses, it usually did to 14K~20K% to most stuff, not even gonna say how much it did to anything player size
and srsly? Blast arrow deals more dmg than Cutlass wind?
