Looks like Chung is going to be Iron Paladin. Hopefully we get more information on why he’s so aggressive toward Ara in this timeline when he wasn’t before.

    • Person says:

I’m pretty sure that IP is described as an angry person personality wise, but still the same overall. In the Canon timeline, Ara and chung were friends before facing Ran, and chung says he’ll protect her, since she’s very clumsy. Here they are completely strangers and Chung was never put near death. So not only did the party not save and befriend him but he’s actually leading the fight against the demons soo

      • L says:

Still unsure on what happens in the story since I don’t know whether or not to believe the dialogues at the end of dungeons or item descriptions.

      • Gameboy224 says:

Nope, in the canon Ara first appears protecting Ran and Chung is very much angry. But soon comes to terms due to his and her situations being similar having a close family member corrupted (or in Ara’s case believed to be corrupted).

    • awsed says:

maybe cause ran killed his father? also, wasnt it obvious by the description that add gave last chapter: “long blonde hair that goes down to the waist and a beautiful girl face”, that he would be iron princess here?

    • Dimir says:

The interesting thing is that Chung got mad at Ara as soon as he heard her full name. This implies that he knows that Ran used to be Aren Haan. Although this is a different timeline, it might be that this part is similar to the in-game story and Aren left Fahrmann, met Chung and/or Helputt and on some point was turned into Ran.

Don’t get your hopes suppose he might be able to change jobs like Aisha

I guess I can finally post some speculations without risk of spoilers too (since I know just as much as people who’ve read up to volume 3)

    ——–Spoilers Volume 1~3——————

    My speculation for this volume:

It looks like Ara is finally getting an arc. So far she was just Eun shuttle with pretty much no important role in the story except fighting and fanservice.

Ara will probably be getting her 2nd job first out of all the 1st jobs in the team. I’m guessing that after she overcomes the crisis in Hamel, she’ll be able to mature more as a character and job advance to Sakra Devanam.

Her job advancing will be interesting because Ara mentions that the reason she falls asleep when Eun comes to the surface fully is because she lacks training. I wonder if Ara will be able to stay more conscious during Eun’s possession when she’s 2nd job.

author will probably continue to reveal the big picture of time travel, Add and Eve while going through the growth arcs of 1st job characters.

My rough guess for stories beyond Hamel

-I have no idea how the story with Chung and Hamel would play out other than Ara will job advance at some point here.
-There will most likely be a Rena&Raven arc. Although these two are already in their 2nd jobs, they could still use a powerup event.
(Maybe job change ability like Aisha?)
-Elsword will probably job advance when they confront Elesis again in Velder.
-Aisha giving Elsword the couple ring that can detect if Elsword is in danger and saying that she’ll come to help Elsword despite her restrictions is pointing so much towards her sacrificing herself at some point.
-Eve will probably job advance last.
-It could be that volume 1’s chapter 0 could be taking place in Sander. There were descriptions of dust storms. (It could just be metal dust aura though). If this is the case, Add will achieve his goal of making Eve turn around to look at him instead of Elsword in Sander. I think Eve will job advance the moment Add betrays her. Just when Eve finally got to trust and <3 Add, she gets betrayed by him. So Eve goes insane and job advance to Nemesis.

still curious about the ‘D’ though.
Aisha mentioned something Diabolic, so.. assume it’s Diabolic Esper? O.O
probably DiE tries to ‘push’ TTr so he will time travelling? speculation XD

      • Anon says:

It seems to me as though the Add from the timeline that this version of Aisha is from was a Diabolic Esper, and he is the one who taught her about his “Double” technique and Void Impact in general, in addition to how to time travel.

Normally, Diabolic Esper is the most hostile of the three job paths, and would be unlikely to join the party. However, we don’t know how far ahead of the game storyline this Aisha is from, and she could be from a timeline where they managed to calm him down and befriend him. Either way, it’s unlikely that he could have known that she would meet a younger version of himself in another timeline one day. It’s probably just a happy coincidence that the Add in this timeline is also on the Diabolic Esper path.

The very beginning of the Time Trouble story, all the way back at Volume 1, that has me interested however. Add seems to be making his move to take Code: Nemesis’s core in that opening, and then is able to turn back time on his own without Eun helping him. Time Tracer cannot do this, but Diabolic Esper can. Was that the Diabolic Esper from Aisha’s timeline, or a future event in this one?

      • awsed says:

what if D stands for “developers”, as in, they just don’t know what to do with the story and the lore anymore and just wanna see everything burn?

    • Anon says:

I don’t think Raven will be needing any powerup if he appears. Just him joining the group would make the group a bit stronger due to him being there. Rena’s relationship with him would also make her stronger with him around, as they could fight as a duo, Raven covering close combat and Rena supporting him from a distance.

It’s Add that I think will be the most interesting to see job advance though, as although he is the point of view character in this series he isn’t necessarily always going to be one of the good guys. He has already considered joining with the demons if it means getting closer to Eve, and although it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case, it still shows that he doesn’t hold any particular alliance other than to himself. Ultimately, his own goals are most important to him. Keeping everyone else alive, helping them achieve their goals, all of that is nothing more than a means to an end to him.

That’s not to say that he will leave the group or turn against them after job advancing though. I feel like even though he wouldn’t need Eun to help him time travel anymore, he would be in a position very similar to Lunatic Psycher and Mastermind in that he would decide to stick around with the group so that he can be close to Eve.

Ultimately, my prediction is that the group isn’t going to encounter Elesis again until they all have reached 2nd job. At that point, they will not only have all grown stronger, but they will also all have more combat experience and might even have Raven and Chung with them. Once they reach that point, Dark Knight will be weak to them, and Crimson Avenger will be outnumbered and outmatched.

After they show her that they have grown stronger than her, my guess is she will tell them more about why she sides with the demons and who this “D” is. Before we have a chance to learn more about “D” however, here is my thoughts and predictions:

What we know about D is that they seem to be the leader of the demons as a whole right now. That means they are higher ranking than Chloe, Ran, Karis, and even General Scar. In this timeline, they are also higher ranking than Elesis, though she seems to be around the ranks of Ran or possibly even Scar. How much authority she has isn’t clear at this point, but what is clear is that she is allowed to kill her own troops for her own sake without punishment if it means powering herself up. That seems pretty high ranking to me.

With such a high ranking position even above individuals like Elesis and Scar, D must be someone unlike anyone we have seen so far in the main timeline. There are a few possibilities however that I would like to consider:

First is the possibility that D might actually be Diabolic Esper from another timeline. This would be an entirely different Diabolic Esper than the one from Aisha’s original timeline, as it seems that she was friends with that one in particular, and I can’t imagine a friend of hers doing anything so contrary to not only her goals, but to this timeline’s Add. This is also not likely a future version of this timeline’s Add, as although he is on the Diabolic Esper path, It seems counter productive for him to send demons to kill Eve, as that would stop him from remaining on the path to become himself. The whole idea that it’s Diabolic Esper at all seems unlikely though, as it’s not clear why any version of Add would side with them if not for Eve’s sake. Especially a loner like DE.

The second possibility is that it’s a more sinister version of Dreadlord. We already have Elesis acting out of character so far, and even Chung is less honorable than he usually is. It’s possible that the ancient history of this timeline is different and Lu is more evil this time around, with her influence over Ciel turning him bad as well. If Lu is still the ruler of the Demons, her and Ciel together might be ruling as Dreadlord. There isn’t much evidence to back this up however, so lets move on to my final idea:

The final possibility that I can think of is that “D” is short for “Demon” or perhaps something longer such as “Demon Ruler”, and that the name of the individual calling themselves “D” actually has a different name. We know that this individual isn’t Elesis because of Berthe referring to her as “D’s Kn…” Which obviously means D’s Knight. My guess is that it’s someone we have never seen either in this story or in the main timeline, someone that will likely be part of a update in the future when they release more story content in game relating to regions. This will turn out to be the main villain of the story, and my guess is that it will ultimately be Elboy who ends up defeating them, both in this story and in the game story.

      • Malle says:

D is Abaddon. I won’t tell you where I got that information.
However, believe it or not. D will be Abbadon. If you need a bit of proof, all I will spoil is that you can read Lu’s dialogue when she finishes certain dungeons and finishes certain story line quests.

I don’t think Add’s gonna betray anyone in the end… they’re not gonna just swipe all that foreshadowing abut Add “not feeling g like” abducting Eve off the table. Also, code Nemesis’ advance story has nothing to do with fueling her attacks with her emotions. In chapter 0 Add may not have necessary have been trying to research Eve, actually in chapter 0 nobody even mentioned that it was in Adds perspective.

    • APerson says:

That second illustration looks like CN…

  • Anonymous says:

D is probably DiE and chapter 0 might have been him trying to abduct eve. There might be two Adds or something. I highly doubt this is an alternitive reality since Add kept saying “strange things” in the first volume so we can assume he has some sort of a connection towards the original timeline. Aisha still has her memories and Elesis might too, I’m really curious to see why D wanted Eve dead though…

    • Anon says:

I’m not convinced Elesis has her original memories intact. Not in any form other than subconscious anyway. I won’t rule out the possibility that she remembers, but it just doesn’t seem to add up to me. If she remembered the original timeline, she would likely still ally with individuals such as Aisha and the Search Party just as she did in the original timeline. It’s really out of character for her to turn her back on them and side with the demons instead already, her having knowledge of the original timeline would make this even more out of character.

I think everyone at least has subconscious memories of the original timeline though. Add and Elboy both demonstrate this. Even before he has created new timelines, Add starts remembering strange things in Elder such as William’s attacks and Ent going crazy, even though those things don’t happen the same way this time around.

Elboy likewise shows a subconscious connection to the original timeline when he gets the nostalgic feeling that he and Aisha have met before. In addition to this (on a slightly unrelated note) it seems that this Aisha comes from a further point in time than even the game story has progressed thus far, as it’s a couple ring in particular that she enchanted to give to Elboy for protection. This implies the possibility that she comes from a time period where she and Elboy finally became a couple. This is further backed up by her having achieved her mission to get her powers back from the ring, something that has not yet happened in game.

Back on topic however, I feel like the most likely scenario is as follows:
In the timeline Aisha comes from, she befriended Diabolic Esper, who taught her about his techniques and time travel. Something really bad happened, and Aisha decided to turn back time using her newfound knowledge in the hope that maybe things will turn out better this time. She appeared in Velder and after demonstrating her power became the Court Mage. Because Elesis was the leader of the Red Knights, this meant that they had an opportunity to meet, and may have become friends for a while.

However, It is implied that Elesis herself turned against her own Red Knights and slaughtered every last one of them. Because Elboy already knew about the story of her not being found among the bodies, this must have happened before Elboy and Eve joined the search party, and likewise before Add first appeared in this timeline.
This means it’s possible that Elesis actually was defeated by Scar when they met in this version of the timeline. Instead of finishing her off however, Elesis was indoctrinated into the Demon Army in a possibly similar way as Helputt in the main timeline. This of course caused the already sadistic Crimson Avenger to take on an even further corrupted personality, killing because she enjoys it rather than seeking revenge.

Because of this corruption in Elesis’s personality, Aisha was unable to remain friends with her. She likely has a desire to keep all of the original Search Party members from the original timeline alive, and so refused to off her when she had the chance. Instead, they agreed to disagree and went their separate ways. From this point on, I believe Aisha probably kept a close eye on Elesis, making sure she didn’t do anything to endanger the Search Party that would surely form. She may have even been keeping track of the Search Party’s progress.

It’s not clear if she is aware of Add’s ability to time travel this early due to Eun’s involvement. It’s also not clear if she has become a timeline constant or if her memory can be wiped the same way as everyone else when he time travels. She has power over both space and time, so it’s possible she is safeguarded from the effects of his time travel unlike other characters.

  • anonymous says:

What if this timeline occur because DiE destroyed the previous timeline and since Aisha was the only other person that could control dimensions she jumped around.

    • Anon says:

DE usually would behave that way, but it’s implied that the DE of Aisha’s timeline also acted as a sort of teacher for her. This in turn implies that the DE from her timeline was more passive that usual, befriending the party instead of destroying the world.

Aisha mentions that she went through great sacrifice to become as great as she was. Either something horrible happened to her time and she was forced to flee with her new powers, or she herself is directly responsible for ruining her timeline.

I feel more inclined towards the second option, as it would explain her reluctance to join the party as a perm member. It could be that she feels regret over what happened in her timeline, and doesn’t feel like she deserves to enjoy an adventure with them again. She will help when absolutely necessary to ensure their survival, but otherwise doesn’t want to associate herself with them.

Has anyone ever noticed that glave looks kind of like add? …. I mean…. Just an older version of add ^-^; sort of

    • Anon says:

It’s a theory that has been going around for a while now. There are plot holes that seem to debunk the possibility, but it is interesting to think about.
