Man Sword of Victory got wrecked….. I don’t even know if it can be considered viable in PVE anymore. In PVP it’s not even a question. 30 seconds duration on SoV with no Stage 2….. That’s brutal.

What are you talking about? Arma Blade was very helpful in PvE, and it was worse than SoV will be now.

It was what you would get if you used Sword of Victory before its buff duration ended. It was bigger and had better effects than Stage 1, but due to it being 300MP and an Annihilation skill (plus Gale’s MP recovery being terrible), it was difficult to obtain without mana potions.

It has always been able to use it while you are being hit, and that’s what made it better than Elsword’s Iron Body, or at least more abuseable
Yeah. It’s the main feature of Iron Body – Strong. So if they’re taking it out, I really think even someone as incompetent as KOG would mention it in the patch notes.
I wouldn’t expect them to blatantly state they’re turning it into Elbrat’s Iron Body if that is what they’re doing as some suggest, but I WOULD expect them to mention you can no longer use it while getting hit. I do believe they brought that up for Mana Shield before they made that nerf. (Before removing the skill altogether…..)
It also doesn’t push back anymore, so… I think it’s only slightly better than Elboy’s now.
But if we take traits into account, Elboy’s traits are better than Elesis’, making them equal again.
Oh, just realized something else!
Elesis’ Iron Body duration didn’t get increased, so it’s now two seconds less than Elboy’s!
And that’s assuming that Killing Blow 1 isn’t used on Elboy’s Iron Body.
Oh, btw, Sword of Victory has been nerfed. And in turn, Arma Blade has been buffed. They’re now both 300MP skills with 30s cooldown that increase damage by 10%, and SoV no longer has Stage 2. Additionally, Arma Blade’s Enhanced Effect now has the same duration as the skill itself.
Only important differences between the two now are that Arma Blade boosts speeds and SoV boosts MP gain when attacking (assuming they synchronize their Killing Blow 1 traits to be even with each other (their Regenerating 1 traits are exactly the same as each other, though)).
I think what they’re doing this time is comparing the similar skills between Elboy and Elesis and making them even more similar to each other, to the point where they’re almost the exact same skill.

Elboy’s Destruction Aura was basically Iron Body – Strong, but without the option to use it: you had no choice.
Point is, Elboy’s and Elesis’ red auras are NOT the same as the skills.
There is no damn way they are buffing Iron Body even beyond the cancer it was before if they nerfed it so much till now. I’m pretty sure they are just gunna demote it to the same as Elboy’s so ppl will stop complaining about 34 sec manabreak skill thats still useless in PVE

You still take damage, though. Iron Body – Strong only reduces it by 10% (unless you have Crimson Avenger’s Berserk passive, which reduces damage reduction from Iron Body – Strong by 20%… actually, does that mean it makes you take MORE damage in Iron Body – Strong?!)
That being said, Iron Body – Strong’s Super Armor only lasts 5 seconds.
Also, their Iron Bodies are not what their red bars trigger. Elboy’s red bar knocks enemies away, but his actual Iron Body skill didn’t do that. Additionally, the elwiki page for Chivalry (Elesis’ system) does not mention gaining the effects of Iron Body – Strong, just Super Armor. The changes to the Iron Body skills will not affect Way of the Sword or Chivalry, as those are their SYSTEMS, not skills.
Actually, this quote from the Way of the Sword page further proves that.
“Unlike his Iron Body skill, the Super Armor state obtained from Aura of Destruction does not reduce damage of received attacks, except for negating the first hit.”
Doesn’t reduce damage, meaning it’s DEFINITELY not Iron Body!

They mean you could activate the skill and it would basically amount to a mana break as it would KD the opponent, thus ending their combo. They aren’t talking about holding z to activate the effects of red aura.

It has an entire passive linked to it. Yet no changes to it are mentioned in the patch notes.
If they were to turn IBS into Elbrat’s Iron Body, they would have to completely revamp or replace Condemnation. And do take note that the original incarnation of the skill reduced IBS’ MP cost, so there is a precedent of KOG giving favorite child Elesis a sub100 MP mana break.
So basically, from the information given to us, yes Elesis gets a 75 MP mana break and it still hurts you. But at least she won’t knock you down anymore. Man, that’s totally a nerf…..

Condemnation is a Crimson Avenger exclusive passive and its not like she is high tier anymore for the passive to even show much significance with Iron Body as it is.

Has it ever occurred to you or anybody that the “2x Cooldown when used while being hit” means she can’t use it while being hit anymore therefor the skill can no longer be used as a manabreak.
The above meaning the skill can only be used beforehand. You use it for the attack buff and if you get hit you’ll trigger super armor. You have to use the skill purely for the attack buff or with the foresight that you might get hit.

I mean the fact that both Ain’s skills which did the same thing got their’s removed might be a sign. Only skill that seems to somewhat keep its ability to be used when hit is Western Fire. But the fact that they removed the 2x cooldown and decreased the MP cost significantly seems to a sign.
The skill has had its MP cost increase multiple times for a reason in the past. It seems uncharacteristic for them to decrease the MP cost without a catch. Not having a knockdown hit isn’t a good catch.
Except on Ain, it CLEARLY states that they can’t be used while being hit anymore. With Iron Body – Strong, it just says t5hat the x2 cooldown was removed.
No, it hasn’t occurred to me that “2x Cooldown when used while being hit” being removed means “can no longer be used when getting hit” because it does not match the meaning of the words.
If anything, the fact that they mention that aspect of the skill (One they added last time they touched it and nerfed it.) but say nothing about removing about the ability to use it while getting hit its self says to me you CAN still use it while getting hit.
And then there’s KOG’s track record when it comes to Elesis which….. does absolutely nothing to rule out the possibility that they’d buff her like this. If anything, nerfing IBS in the first place was the surprise.
Okay, dunno why I thought IBS got nerfed, realize now it was buffed…
but tbh, I think it was actually a well needed buff, ’cause IBS just wasn’t that practical, all things considered. The fact it knocks down instantly meant there was no way to use it to catch your enemy, making it more of a “get off me” skill that didn’t even do much. And yeah, it increases attack power, but what good is that if you can’t catch your opponent in 5 seconds? Well.. almost 5 seconds, anyway.
Except Condemnation triggers when the skill is ACTIVATED! There’s no need to rework it!
