Wait what?! They are skipping Sander! I was looking forward to how they were doing the “Add and Eve fights Karis” thing again from the game cinematics…
And the best part is they shot themselves in the foot with any excuse to label Sander as “filler” since they explicitly spent the last few minutes having Sasha talk all about the importance of the Priestesses.
Last I checked, Anudran is a priestess…..

Way to skip Sander and move on to Lanox.
-Shit animation. Oh wait, we’ve come to expect that by now.
-The battle boiled down to Ran knocking Chung and Elbrat around, Chung going awakening, and then Ran gets bitchslapped. Really now?
-Ran is surprised at Chung’s transformation even though he corrupted Helputt who is perma-transformed….. really?
-Elesis is the only one not fighting Ran who even does anything.
-Sasha emphasizes how important it is to find all the priestesses! So what does the anime do? Skip Sander, where there’s a priestess!
…..
Fucking seriously?!
If they’re skipping Sander, what the fuck are they going to do with the remaining 12 episodes?! 3 for Lanox, 3 for Elysion, then 3 for Elrianode? Elrianode doesn’t have that much plot to work with.
And furthermore, how do they work Anudran into the plot? She’s somehow in Lanox too?
And most importantly….. what the fuck is with KOG and shitting all over Karis?!
First they deny us a potentially interesting playable character. Scythe? Wings? Mind control? We don’t have playable characters that go into those areas, other than some Ain animations long after the fact. But what did we end up getting after her introduction? Elbrat 2.0. Oh joy. (And don’t tell me the story wouldn’t have allowed for it. If they just let Addhole in despite him being obviously evil, Karis could have made up a sob story and gotten her way to the winning side to save her own ass. She’s supposed to be an expert in manipulation after all and the El Search Party are portrayed as dumb.)
Then they kill her off.
Then they use her in Lu’s backstory, making her more important even though she’s already dead….. (Instead of a sexy demon queen, we get loli cancer, who teases us with the prospect of an even sexier demon queen that you know KOG is never going to give us.)
Then she’s just a tutorial boss for Lu & Ciel.
Then they retcon the part where Karis backstabbed Lu.
And now the anime flat out skips her.
…..What the fuck?!
Well, that’s okay KOG. After KurtzPel fails and you’re forced to shut down Elsword AT THE VERY LEAST because you blown too much money on failed games, we’ll never have to hear from your mind fuckingly stupid asses again.
They’re skipping Sander because they know how much happier you’ll be if they get to your loli lover Lu faster. ;3
So….. KOG is skipping a part of the story just to try to make one person happier by introducing a loli sooner….. when it turns out that person does in fact, really hate lolis?
Sounds like KOG levels of competence to me.
Even better idea: They’ll retcon the story so that Lu and Ciel take down Karis single handedly and bring Anudran to the ElGang in Lanox.
Oh god, that actually sounds like something they would do. Especially since it implies base Lu and Ciel (one of the weakest base jobs) > Karis.
…..Well, at least that would address the vendetta between Lu and Karis instead of trying to erase it entirely like the “Barkat” retcon tried to do.

Looking into it, yes. They DID have concept art for transformed Karis.
…..I wonder at what point along Production Hell they decided to skip Sander.
Part of me wonders if they are actually skipping Sander or if they are going to Lanox first and then back to Sander… For some reason. Only reason I can think of is because of the rivalry between Lu and Karis, but Lu and Ciel joining in Lanox.
Makes more sense than cutting out Sander entirely.
Or at the very least they could squish her into the Lanox storyline by having her be the one mind controlling the locals since In and Jin are just ripping off her Sander plan anyway…..

I expected LAND DEMOLISHER or even Iron Princess Hyper Active DOOM STRIKE since Ran too Strong for him

well since eps 1 i expected Armaggedon Blade or Sword Victory :|
but suddenly they change to be “shoujo anime” at eps 2 :|
So I’ve just realized something….. this anime has one of the same problems as the first two seasons of Sailor Moon Crystal. (Bad animation aside. Never forget.) That is, the lack of exaggerated anime expressions from characters we’re used to seeing making them.
It makes the show feel a bit….. sterile.
Meanwhile others seems like they stay stuck on an expression all the time (how many times did Aisha appeared pouching?).
God damn I believe I used the wrong word. Anyways she just keep her cheeks puffed.
Yep. Aisha is stuck in pouty face half the time and everyone else isn’t emoting at all unless they’re in an action scene.
Not to mention all the sameface going on. (Elbrat and Elesis, Aisha, Rena, and Ara, etc.)
…..But the Closers anime, for the single episode we’ve seen so far, has so much better animation than the Elsword anime. Although yes they did use some CGI. So what the hell happened here? (Granted, Closers WAS more popular than Elsword when they announced the anime and it took a shitty endgame area in Closers and 3rd Job hype before Elsword was ranking higher again.)
And lord only knows how the Arpiel anime turned out. (Does anyone else in the west even remember that Arpiel is a thing?)
