Honestly, I have no valid excuse. While I do personally believe that light jokes are great to be shared by everyone once  in a while, this particular one though, sadly due to my lack of foresight and unfortunate circumstances has gone out of hand. I think the last time I made a joke like this was during April Fools? I’ll make sure to only make jokes on April Fools on Babel from now on.

I fully knew this joke was going to disappoint many of you from the start. But for some crazy reason I kept going on with it. Maybe I could fault the continued deterioration in quality of Elsword over the course of last year(Both in game management and communities)…

The amount of lack of faith in Elsword I’ve seen in communities across the globe must have sunk into me as well. Still, it is ultimately I, who lost faith in this game to the point where I felt it was okay to mess around with people’s trust  is at fault. I must have lost faith in this game to the point where I didn’t take anything regarding Elsword seriously anymore, Elsword felt like a big joke.

and reaching the end of this joke sort of feels like that sudden jolt you feel when you wake up while dozing off in a classroom, with no recollection of contents of the class. Leaving me with a thought “What did I just do?”. I must have been really out of it. Still, there is no excuse for sleeping in class if you intended to get something done in there.

Breaking something is really easy, building something is an extremely hard work. It won’t be easy and near impossible to rebuild the amount of trust I’ve broken with this joke. Still, what’s done is done, I can’t turn back time. I’m not going to request for forgiveness, you guys are free to think what you want about me.

However, I am a person that likes to always do my best to balance things out. If I see something tilt in one direction, I like to fix it so it’s balanced again. So that’s what I will attempt to do with this incident from now on.

What kind of stories did we receive from our adventurers during 2014 06 08(Sun) ~ 06 21(Sat)?
First, Let’s check out the suggestions that were implemented.

1. Implemented Suggestions

① Magical Wardrobe System Update
– This is a frequent topic in the suggestion boards! Many adventurers expressed that they would like to exchange the looks of their avatars. After 06/26(Thurs) Maintenance, Magical Wardrobe system was added, so you can wear the look you want with the stat you want! Go now and try the Magical Wardrobe!

② Character balances
– The 3rd Balance Patch! Lord Knight, Void Princess and Blazing Heart’s balance revamp was done in 06/26 maintenance. There’s still the 4th balance patch left so send us lots of suggestions through suggestion boards.

③ Separate Mech MK-3, Grendized MK-3 set options for PvE/PvP
– Many adventurers expressed that secret dungeon set options should be divided into PvE/PvP. Following that suggestion we changed the set effect of Mech/Grendized Mech sets so their effects in PvE and PvP are different.

Next is the popular suggestion that lots of adventurers discussed about.

① Suggestions on more fun dungeons – the voice of adventurer ‘멸하‘
– Suggestion on how all skills should be separated for PvE/PvP. There wer also some details on mounts and opinions of each characters.

– Balance suggestions for each classes: Buff/Revamp Ara’s Celestial Fox mode(3 bead awakening) system
: Revamp Iron Paladin (Add Dungeon skills, Protective skills)

– Change Sniping Ranger’s entangle so it’s visible like the other trap skills.
– Change so Eve’s spring step is more fluent just like before.

– Item to reset/change selected Profession
– More items craftable from Alchemist professions and a Magic Stone identify feature
– More acquirable items from Treasure Chests for Treasure Hunter professions
– Make mounts available through in-game quest
– Buff Sparring Set
– Make Gate of Darkness gears (Top,Bottom,Gloves,Shoes,Weapon)
– No seal required when sending items between characters in same account.
– Make certain item(untradeable) come out from Ice Burners and make certain amount of these items exchangeable for 1 Ice Burner set piece.

③ PvP
– Change matchamaking so only players within your level range are matched up. (Like 20~30LV ranges,etc)
– Make time limits in Arena adjustable by players.
– Add 8 player survival mode in Arena.

④ Dungeon
– Ereda Island Revamp idea
– More dungeons to be enjoyed at endgame.
– Add Hell difficulties to regular dungeons
– Make monsters don’t knock down when someone revives in the field.
– Add additional hurdles when pressing ‘Start with current members’ button. (Something like ‘Start dungeon with current members?’ Y/N?)

⑤ System
– Add chat block feature for Dungeons too.
– Make Gaia/Solace board markets separate
– Make Mailbox and Equipment repair accessible with just click of a button. (Instead of moving to NPC locations)

⑥ Pet
– Make Pet evolution more easier (New items Cookie/Nutrients/Digestant)

⑦ Other
– Add titles related to Professions
– Make Professions changable 1 time per year.
– Make all items made by Blacksmith come pre-sealed.
– Feature for Blacksmith to repair their own equipment.
– Unique craftable equipments for Blacksmiths
– Separate descriptions for 1st and 2nd jobs in character select screen.
– Make mount stamina consumption faster
– More contents for couples(Couple standing pose, couple motions)
– Fix Main Webpage’s representative character setting error.

Many new things are welcoming us, like Character Balance revamps and Profession system!
We will continue to strive to become even better Elsword.
What kind of stories did we receive from our adventurers during 2014 05 18(Sun) ~ 06 07(Sat)?
First, Let’s check out the suggestions that were implemented.

1. Implemented Suggestions

① Non replay feature for Add Promotion Video
– After 05/22(Thurs) Maintenance, If the Add Promotion video is exited once by using ESC button, it will not play until the next maintenance.

② Problem with some character’s change in expressions not working.
– This was fixed in 06/12(Thurs) maintenance!

③ Additional character balances(Night Watcher / Reckless Fist / Code:Empress)
– We received a lot of suggestions regarding Night Watcher,Reckless Fist and Code:Empress. With those suggestions in mind, we preformed an additional balance path in 6/12 maintenance. We’ll do our best to keep our revamps in the right direction!

④ Change Bogus Contract Skill note level requirement
– Since the Mana Conversion skill’s position was changed in the revamp, the level requirement for the skill note ‘Bogus Contract’ was changed from level 55 to level 25 in the 6/12(Thurs) maintenance.

⑤ Fix Problem with Raven character being unable to jump after zzxx command
– This problem was fixed in 06/12(Thurs) maintenance.

2. Popular Suggestion

① Inheritance System suggestion – voice of adventurer ‘Intellgence’
– Suggestion for a System that enables remaining characters inherit deleted character’s items.

– Make dungeons available to play at 0 stamina despite not getting EXP
– System to be matched up with other players riding mounts.
– Add Buff & HP recovery contribute to MVP.

– Option to turn off System Messages(lvl 70, IB..etc)
– Revamped socketing method (left click on socket slot, right click on magic stone)
– Add Item Search feature to Cash Shop.
– Option to ignore chat of all characters at once in PvP.

S: Incoolord was high ranking lord of the demon realm but fell for Karis and  and ended up serving her.

He proudly wears that lock like accessory that Karis gave him as a present(?) :D

He became Karis’ subordinate but because she became so busy with all the kidnapping the Priestess + other businesses

that he had a lot of work to get done himself at the back. Because of this black circle under his eyes got darker.

<Other idea for Incoolord>

Today(October.10th) Korean Elsword website has remolded its Idea suggestion board.

Hopefully, this means that the Elsword developers are now considering to be more open to user suggestions than before. Because, before this change, their idea suggestion board was basically a place where you wrote down your fantasies knowing fully well that it was never going to be looked at by the ones running the game.

 Starting 2013, October 10th(Thurs), our ‘idea board’ was reborn into ‘Suggestion board’~!

Here are the changes following the changes to the suggestion board.

1. Board name was changed!

The board was changes so it not only takes ideas from the users but more open to various suggestions as well.

 2. It has Categories now!

When submitting a suggestion, please select the related category for your suggestion~!

Then the person in charge of each category will quickly check and analyze to see if it can be applied to the game.

 3. We plan to give periodical maintenance notice for the suggestion board!

We think until now, our adventurers were very curious if their suggestions were well received.

Every 2 weeks, we will post a suggestion board maintenance notice and inform you of suggestions that were actually patched into the game.

We will do our best to become ever evolving Elsword.

Well that’s what it says.

So with that said, I think right now is a good chance to send them suggestions and actually get them patched in the game. Reason being is that Elsword team would now be all fresh and committed to this new suggestion board than their usual selves.

This is a good news for Koreans who speak the language and can put up a suggestion in the boards without having to deal with the language barrier.

However, I feel that many foreign players are left out of their chance to have their suggestions heard by the people who run Elsword.

I might try to come up with a contest where I can translate best suggestions offered by the English speaking community weekly.
