I tried a tabbed gallery on [[Sandbox:Meddle]] and I feel it works pretty well, and keeps things from getting too cluttered. I was going to make it to where hovering over the image would show a set's alternate color, but I couldn't seem to get [[Template:IconHover]] to work within the gallery unfortunately.
