* Let's say a Dark Mage with Level 5 Shadow of Death hits a target. On the total of 100% damage a Dark Mage does, 85% of the damage is normal damage (damage that is affected by defense), while the other 15% of the damage is pure damage (damage that ignores defense). In simpler term, this passive increases Dark Mage's damage. May not be noticable however.
* Somewhat useful for magic-defensed mobs especially in Ruto Hell mode, as it allows Dark Mages to bypass some of the extremely high defense barriers that these mobs can pose.

  • Let's say a Dark Mage with Level 5 Shadow of Death hits a target. On the total of 100% damage a Dark Mage does, 85% of the damage is normal damage (damage that is affected by defense), while the other 15% of the damage is pure damage (damage that ignores defense). In simpler term, this passive increases Dark Mage's damage. May not be noticable however.
