The demons In and Jin arrive and take over the fight with Elsword while Scar retreats. However, another demon duo, Lu and Ciel, arrives and manages to fend the demon commanders off. Elsword is taken back to Lanox to recover and the demon duo explains to the El Search Party that they were tracking down Scar, who Ignia identifies as the culprit behind the Priestesses' disappearance. After resting for a bit, Elsword finds his resolve to defeat the demons and save Elesis.
Plot
Clash of the Demons
Outraged at Scar, Elsword attempts to strike him with his Armageddon Blade but was effortlessly pushed back by the demon's blade. Scar recognizes the young knight and boasts over his victory and Elsword's inability to save his sister. The demons In and Jin arrive at the field and Scar leaves while ordering them to get rid of Elsword. Elsword tries to chase after Scar but In stops him by imprisoning him in a Sphere of Unity and Jin then begins to slash Elsword with her swords.
While attacking the knight, Jin leaps back after hearing a voice yell "Stomp", dodging a small girl crashing in front of the Sphere. The Sphere is dissipated and the girl asks if Elsword is okay. Jin and In recognize the girl as the former demon lord Luciela. Lu brags that her powers are superior to theirs and offers them a chance to retreat. In instead attacks her by throwing his Sphere of Unity at her after mocking Lu's new childlike appearance. Lu blocks the attack by holding onto the Sphere. While In was distracted by the fight, he was struck by a flurry of gunfire from a nearby gunner. Lu scolds Ciel, the gunner, for being late while Ciel blames her for being too fast. Jin carries her brother and retreats from the battle.
Introducing Lu and Ciel
After struggling to stand, Elsword finally collapses from his injuries. As he fell, Chung, Raven, and Ara arrive at the scene. The three asks for Lu and Ciel's identities, to which Lu introduce herself as Luciela R. Sourcream, the ruler of the demon realm. Raven and Chung are shocked by her introduction but Elsword defends her, telling them that they saved him earlier. Raven questions her motives and Lu responds angrily to his distrust. Ciel clarifies to the group that Lu was the former ruler of the demon realm but was betrayed by her kind and is now chasing after demons in Elrios. With the common goal of fighting demons that are threatening Elrios, Ciel asks to join the El Search Party and offers their knowledge of demons to their advantage. Elsword is more focused on finding his sister and falls unconscious. Raven suggests returning to Lanox before continuing their discussion.
At an inn in Lanox Village, Elsword is resting in bed with Aisha watching over him while the rest of the El Search Party and Ignia are downstairs questioning Lu and Ciel. After recapping Lu's introduction, Add laughs the absurdity of her backstory and questions whether if they could trust a demon. Rena interjects and reminds him that Lu did save Elsword earlier and suggests that there's truth to her words. Lu explains that she was following the demons, which led her to Scar and his subordinates. Ignia recognizes the name Scar and tells everyone that he was the one that kidnapped the other Priestesses. Hearing this information, Chung and Ara learn that Scar is the one responsible for the corruption of Aren and Helputt, as well as the attack on Hamel and Elesis.
The Resolve to Fight
Elsword finally woke up and Aisha explains to him that he is back in Lanox and his friends are downstairs talking with Lu. When he asks about his sister, Aisha explains that they don't know where she is, which dishearten the knight. Upset by his reaction, Aisha hits him and reminds him that he should be stronger and worry about himself. She assures him that Elesis is fine and that she will not be defeated by Scar or by falling off a cliff and could be back in shape already. Elsword regains his composure and agrees that his sister is probably fine as he steps out towards the balcony. He thanks Aisha for her words and suggests to join everyone downstairs as he stares into the moonlight.
After the others brought up that Scar defeated Elesis, Lu explains that the Red Haired Knight is most likely alive because she felt her energy after Scar left the battlefield. Elsword enters the conversation and agrees with Lu that his sister is fine. He reassures everyone that his injuries are recovered and thanks Lu and Ciel for their assistance. After affirming their goal of stopping Scar's plans, he asks Ignia to guide them to defeat Scar, which she accepts.
At the Grand Cavern, In and Jin report to Scar that Luciela has joined the El Search Party but he disregards it as he is confident that their new strength will not match his own. He proceeds to laugh maniacally over the imprisoned Earth Priestess. Meanwhile, Ignia is standing by the inn's balcony, staring sadly at the moonlight.
