Dungeon Loot
- English
Considering Dungeons are the main content to engage with in Elsword, the items they provide are likewise the vast majority of resources required to progress in the game, including the currency of the game, ED, as well as all sorts of materials to craft other items, items you can exchange for various rewards at NPCs, accessories to provide helpful stats to your character, or other progression items.
ED
Each enemy will drop a set amount of ED, though as one might notice during gameplay, this is distributed into multiple "drops" rather than one ED item per enemy. If a boss enemy drops 49635 ED then this can be dropped either as 15 drops of 3309 ED, or as 9 drops of 5515. Due to this, some ED values which cannot be neatly divided can result in a small, but fairly neglegible amount of variance between ED drops of the same enemy. As such, while the exact distribution may vary, the total amount gained from a dungeon with a consistent amount of enemies will always be more or less the same, not counting outside influences.
ED Gain
You are able to increase the amount of ED any individual monster drops through the effects of ED Gain Increase (%). Unlike Item Drop Rate, this is much more straightforward and simply increases the total ED a monster would drop before it is then split into its multiple individual drops as described above.
Sources of ED Gain are quite rare; the most notable increase can be obtained from El Resonance, up to 200%.
Items
Each enemy has a specific list of items that it can drop, commonly referred to as a loot table. While the exact odds of each individual item in any given monster's loot table has not been disclosed, you can reasonably expect that most items listed on a dungeon's dungeon selection UI will be the rarest items present on the loot table of enemies in the dungeon and typically only from the boss of that dungeon. There is no way to influence the odds of any specific item appearing more commonly, though you are able to influence how many items an enemy drops instead.
In addition to an enemy's personalized drops, there are certain items that are globally able to drop from anything, while others are set to drop in specific circumstances. This includes cooking goods (such as Ruve Herb or local specialty items like Stingray Meat), which will drop randomly from all enemies in regular dungeons, as well as items such as Large Magical Crystal, which will drop at a set rate from certain bosses (for example, Glacial Land's boss will always drop 2). All items outside of an enemy's personal loot table are not affected by Item Drop Rate and will also not take up a potential spot of a loot table item, be it their natural amount or ones gained through Item Drop Rate effects.
Item Drop Rate
You are able to increase your chances of obtaining dungeon items through the use of several items and effects that grant Item Drop Rate Increase (%) (IDR for short). These affect not the odds of receiving a specific item in a monster's loot table, but instead increase the odds of an extra drop to occur that itself will use the usual loot table's odds, effectively granting you another attempt per additional item dropped.
This extra drop's chance to appear is directly related to the amount of IDR you currently have. At 0% IDR, a monster will simply drop its standard amount of items, and randomly pick one item from the monster's drop table for each of those dropped items.
- If an item has a 5% Drop Rate, a monster drops 1x item, and you have an IDR stat of 0%, there will be one item drop that has a 5% chance to be that item.
- If an item has a 5% Drop Rate, a monster drops 1x item, and you have an IDR stat of 350%, there will be either 4, or 50% of the time, 5 item drops that each have a 5% chance to be that item.
Note that IDR typically has no effect on certain dungeons, unless directly specified by the item or event providing the effect in question. These are: Secret Dungeons, Special Dungeons, Raids such as Crimson Tower of Howling Flames, Master Road dungeons and Giant Boss fights such as Titan's Grotto.

Events
During a Drop Rate Event, usually advertised as "times N" Drop Rate, the actual benefit is an equivalent additive Item Drop Rate to the stat, which will not be reflected on your character UI. For example, a x2 Drop Rate event will provide you with +100% Item Drop Rate, and give you just one more item roll at the end of a dungeon, making it only x2 while you are at 0% Item Drop Rate otherwise.
