The vassel stuck in twisted sense of responsibility.

Ciel feels great demonic energy and the changes in his body following the second soul contract and receiving most of Lu's soul.

When Lu's emotions fade away after the contract, Ciel believes this to be his fault. He continues the investigation by brutally slaying the demons to find more clues about the soul contract, but could not find anything.

As Lu's condition begins to worsen, Ciel's self-blame and guilt begins to settle in a twisted sense of responsibilities and, with powerful demonic energy, manifests as EGO.

두 번째 영혼의 계약으로 루의 영혼 대부분을 받게 된 시엘은 전에 없던 거대한 마력과 마기가 몸속 깊은 곳에서 흘러나오는 것을 느꼈다.
이미 반마족이었던 시엘의 몸은 이로 인해 마족화가 더욱 빨라지기 시작했다.

재계약의 영향으로 꿈을 통해 처음에는 기쁨, 슬픔, 분노 등 다양한 루의 감정과 기억이 전해져 왔지만 시간이 흐를수록 루의 감정은 점점 흐릿해져 갔다.
시엘은 이러한 루의 변화를 자신에게 영혼과 힘을 더 나눠준 탓으로 판단해 더욱 정성껏 돌봤지만, 루의 상태엔 차도가 없었다.
좋아하던 디저트에도 흥미를 잃었고, 과거 함께했던 추억에 대해서도 기억만이 남아 마치 남의 일을 이야기하듯 건조했다.

시엘은 루의 상태가 자신의 간병 정도로 해결될 일이 아니며, 영혼의 계약 자체에 원인이 있다고 판단했다.
자신과 루를 쫓는 마족 암살자들을 역으로 추적하며 영혼의 계약에 대해 추궁해 봤지만,
루와 같은 고위 마족만이 사용할 수 있는 계약이기에, 제대로 아는 마족은 없었다.
시간이 지날수록 시엘은 초조하고 불안해졌다. 루는 지금도 서서히 무감정 해지고 있다. 내가 지켜야 하는데...
시엘의 불안이 차츰 강해질수록, 이에 반응하듯 루의 상태도 나빠졌다.
루는 힘없이 시엘의 탓이 아니라고 위로하고 괜찮다며 다독였지만, 죄책감으로 무너져 가는 시엘은 도저히 그걸 받아들일 수 없었다.

“루가 이렇게 된 건 내 책임이야.
이제... 내가 루를 이끌어야 해.”

자책과 죄책감이 쌓이고 쌓여 시엘에게 뒤틀린 책임감의 형태로 깊이 새겨졌다.
더는 소중한 사람을 잃지 않으리라. 반드시 루를 원래대로 되돌리고 말 것이다.
시엘에게서 뿜어져 나온 강대한 마력은 구체화되어 ‘에고’로서 발현된다.

시엘이 수단과 방법을 가리지 않고 찾은 단서들은 아무런 효과도 없었지만 멈출 수 없었다. 분명 길이 있을 것이다. 아니, 있어야 한다.
오로지 루를 위해서 시엘은 자신의 무기를 치켜들고 다시 한번 일어섰다.

Ciel received most of Lu's soul with the second contract. He felt great demonic power and magic he didn't have before flow out of his body. Because of this, his demonification sped up.

His dreams, affected by the re-contract, showed Lu's emotions and memories. But as time passed, he could feel that Lu's emotions fading away. Ciel put more effort into caring for Lu, since he thought it was his fault that Lu had to share more power with him and became like this. However, nothing changed. Lu's interest in desserts disappeared, and their memories of the past only remained as memories. Talking about it with Lu felt dry as if telling another person's story.

Ciel eventually declared that Lu's state would not improve just with him caring for her, and that there was a problem within the soul contract itself. Tracking down the demon assassins after him and Lu, he interrogated them about the soul contracts. However, his research was not fruitful since it was a high-level contract only higher demons such as Lu could use - there was close to no information about it. He became unsettled as time passed. Even now Lu was emotionless, and even more so with each passing second. He was supposed to protect her yet... When Ciel worried about Lu, as if reacting to his emotions, Lu's state deterioated. Lu tried to tell him that it wasn't his fault. That everything's fine. But Ciel, crumbling from guilt, couldn't accept her blank, emotionless words.

"It's my fault Lu's like this. Now... I'll lead Lu."

Self-blame and guilt piled up, deeply engraving Ciel with a twisted form of responsibility. He'll never lose anyone important to him ever again. He'll revert Lu back to normal. Ciel's powers materialize into the form of 'EGO'.

The clues he found about the contract hadn't solved anything, but he couldn't stop. There has to be a way. No, there MUST be a way. For Lu, Ciel stands up once again with weaponry in his hands.

Description

However, because the contract can only be used by powerful demons like Lu, none of the demon assassins knew what he needed. As time passed. Ciel became more and more anxious. Lu's state also began to deteriorate even further as if in response.

Trivia

• The term turbid means for something to be "clouded" or "unclear".
• Contrary to Anular, Ciel gains horns on this class well before his hair has turned entirely white from his conversion into a demon. They are rather small however, and very similar to the ones Lu has as Emptiness, and are likely a result of him now containing 3/4ths of her soul, instead of it being a forced transformation like the former.
• As with all the other Ciel advancements, this path gains an additional weapon to use besides his gunblades, in this case a spear.
  • Because both the Innocent path and this path explicitly draw their powers from the Abyss, and how Ciel now has most of Lu's soul within him, it is likely intentional that both Noblesse's Royal Artifact and the Power of EGO primarily manifest as a spear.
