Completing the following advancement quest or using the Item Mall item: Rune Slayer's Mark will change your job to Rune Slayer.
He is used to using both sword and magic. But as he faced new enemies, it was harder to battle against them. It wasn't just that he was facing stronger enemies, but it felt like he himself has stopped growing. Let's check if there's anything wrong with him with this battle.
After a couple of battles, Elsword came to a conclusion that he has reached a wall. Perhaps it was obvious as he was trying to contain both sword aura and mana in one container. After a short regret, Elsword shook his head. This was his own path that he chose. Though he may not have been truly gifted, he did not want to deny this choice he made. If there's no path, he can forge one. Just like when he first discovered his talent, perhaps hints can be found in the battlefield.
As he battles against the Nasods, Elsword realizes that what he needs is balance. A careful balance would enable him to utilize his limited container more effectively. But for that, he needed a new method that did not exist before. 'Magic usually requires language to activate, but when you fight face-to-face, it's hard to focus enough to speak, right? Why don't you try using magic circles or symbols that don't require you to say anything?' Though she nags a lot, you can always rely on Aisha for magic advice. Let's find Allegro, as he knows some magic runes.
Allegro was using methods that maximize efficiency such as drawing ancient runes to create magic circles, or temporarily making his weapon stronger. With this method he can chain his sword technique with magic and make the magic itself much stronger. Let's revise the ancient runes that Allegro taught and apply them in battle.
After many trials and errors, Elsword finally manages to imbue magic to his sword using runes. The only thing left is finding a careful balance between his sword and magic. Let's defeat more enemies to find the perfect balance and become an even more powerful magic swordsman.

The standard combo is reworked to engulfing the last two slashes in flames. The flames do magical damage and the final no longer knocks down, now doing hitstun.
After the standard combo, explode a rune beneath the enemy to launch them up once more. The rune can be delayed for a short time by holding down . If fully charged, the rune will not launch grounded opponents.

Changes the fireball in Magic Knight's to a rune. The rune has a heavier hitstun and doesn't launch enemies as high. If fully charged, the rune will not launch grounded opponents.
Changes the fireball in Magic Knight's combo to a rune. The rune will remain in place until an additional is pressed, firing it down at a 45° angle, covering a moderate distance. The rune can be absorbed but not reflected and can pierce twice.
It is possible to dash cancel the combo after the first , allowing you to repeat the combo and remain in the air indefinitely. Video

Tips and Details
Strangely, Rune Slayer's >>ZZX combo does not have increased damage on an enemy affected by his Magic Chain passive, despite the former being a magical attack.
Unlike most other magical projectiles, Rune Slayer's Runes cannot be reflected completely. The runes will still go past enemies but will not deal damage if reflected.
Allies behind will receive damage from 'reflected' rune.
Trivia
In his concept art, his initial design was rejected as it had too many similarities to Magic Knight. They then completely redesign his outfit and personality to be more rugged and laid-back rather than knightly and serious like Lord Knight.
On Rune Slayer's runes, text reading "The Time Is Now" can be seen under the main symbol in small text.
Despite Sword Fire being moved to Magic Knight and Lodestar taking its place, it is still listed as one of Rune Slayer's Primary Skills.
