Description

Description

The more Ain eliminates the monsters, the more he realized the true salvation he can grant upon these creatures is to rid their bodies that is chaining them to this physical realm. He realized that moment, the ones that are leading these beings had to be his 'Future Self' currently waiting deep within the cave.
There could be no one else that could possibly have more influence over Void and Chaos than he does.
'What are you?'
Now that he knew whose voice it was, the answer was obvious. This body is also a meaningless creation formed by the Goddess. Eventually it will meet its demise. But Ain had no intention to simply fade away.
'Unleash yourself.'
The preparation was complete. With his existence confirmed, Ain recognized it was time to unleash his true potential.
Ain headed towards the sanctum. 'He' was waiting for his answer at the heart of the sanctum.

Master Class Advancement

After unlocking 3rd Job, upon reaching Rigomor, you will be able to unlock the Master Class. To receive the quest, click on the notification located below the map select.
Master Class can also be obtained by using the Cash Shop item: Mark of Awakening (Herrscher) Job Change - Herrscher (Master).png.

  1. Clear any Rigomor dungeon 5 times.
  2. Collect 20 Memory Pieces from any Boss in Rigomor region dungeons.
  3. Clear any Master Road dungeon (Normal/Hell) once.
  4. Collect 10 Origin Artifacts from any Master Road dungeon (Normal/Hell).
  5. Clear any Master Road dungeon (Normal/Hell) 5 times.

Trivia

  • Herrscher is a German term for Ruler.
  • In Europe, his name was changed to Regnator, which is Latin for Ruler.
  • Herrscher and Mad Paradox are the only two playable characters that aren't really alive anymore in the usual sense. As the backstory describes, Ain has become an omnipresent entity, his "body" being a mere shell controlled by his 'true' void form, which he uses to interact with the physical world. This is reflected by large portions of his arms, legs, and torso being completely gone, both in his art and in-game model, as well as the animation for his Hyper Active, Zerinnen.
    • Unlike Ain's other Spiritualism modes, Herrscher's mark of Henir has a different appearance and is located on the forehead rather than the eyes; this new mark is also the icon for the Hyper Active Zerinnen.
    • While the hole in his chest was already there in the artwork of Apostasia in Henir mode, this time it is properly modeled in-game as well and it is possible to see through it.
    • Due to no longer being strictly alive, Herrscher's age is now officially listed as unknown, with no approximated age given, unlike Richter and Bluhen.
    • The deterioration of Herrscher's limbs is part of the promo avatar.
  • Herrscher shares a lot of his design with the Orbis monsters and Chrysalis boss of Forgotten Elrian Sanctum, including a pulsing Eye of Henir in the hole in his chest. By comparison, Opferung takes after the Demon Realm variants of Henir creatures instead, implying this sleek, alien design of Herrscher and the Elrios Henir creatures is caused by the El energy, which Ain has in abundance.
  • The scythe that Herrscher uses has a difference appearance depending if you are in Henir mode or normal mode. This is only reflected in artwork and combos.
  • Due to abandoning Ishmael, this is the only path where Ain does not maintain his existence through Elria.
