Talk:Rusty Child/Archive 1

From Elwiki

the basic translation of the jobs backstory text:

"Though somewhat excited about the new environment, Laby feels discomfort as she follows the trail to the world outside the forest. A sense of unease that she hasn't been able to shake off has affected her in battle, but with the help of Nisha she defeats the enemies, but in the process hurts Bellond. Laby, who feels a sense of guilt after the battle, finds that her wounds won't heal, causing her to realize the sense of discomfort which has plagued her.

Outside of the forest, there was nobody like Laby. She was as out of place as her brightly colored body had been while she was alone in the forest. "Am i... alone here?" Laby, confused, leaned on Nisha, her only sanctuary she had since the Black Forest. "Everyone is different from Laby, but Nisha? Will you listen to my story?"

The voice had dissappeared and Bellond was kind, but disbelief ate away at Laby's heart. The more Laby travelled, the more she remembered of Nisha, who has been with her since she was in the forest. Eventually she relies on Nisha with her mind closed."

Skill Icon Trivia

I think the trivia section should mention the fact that this path's skill icons are dark blue instead of pink, which hints towards Nisha Labyrinth. FlareKyn (talk) 18:28, 31 December 2021 (CET)

  • Seems a bit too much of a disconnect. Skill Icons are representative of the skill first and foremost in which case is just emblematic of the path's aesthetic as a whole. Like how NP's skills go cyan instead of dark blue, it's just the class's aesthetic. Gameboy224 (talk) 03:27, 1 January 2022 (CET)
    • I kinda get where you're coming from, but this and Second Grief are also the only paths where the backgrounds of the skill icons are different from the skill icons of their base class. Even the Root Knight, Code: Unknown, and Wiz Magician paths, which were released after them, still use the same background colors for their skill icons despite how drastically they change along those paths, while this path literally switches out the player character, and Nyx Pieta practically turns into Harque (not literally, but he basically is). • Okay, so the Revenant path's icons also have different colors, and the same logic doesn't really apply there... but something I forgot until now is that Weapon Crash's icon is the same as the deleted Skill Weapon Break's icon, just in different colors. And they're practically the same skill, they just have different users. Plus, Elboy's Kick and Elly's Kick (the latter of which was deleted) are basically the same skill, but still have different icons, so... yeah. FlareKyn (talk) 21:15, 2 February 2022 (CET)
        • I'd just like to the fact that Ain was the first one to have skill icons diverse in different colors to match each paths' aesthetic. This mostly refers to icon's background, as this is the root of this cause. Aisha's icon aesthetic is purple, yet portrayed fire isn't, right? To add onto statement about Revenant, technically Raven's icon background is either gray or blue and Revenant's are, well... grey, so it doesn't really change, beside the icon's foreground that IS different for every path. More than NL, I'd say it's better to mention on Ain's page.
