Specialty

After a lot of training with his nasod arm, Raven can now shoot flames from his arm and have more resistance to overheating. He also took a bunch of different parts from nasods and golems and fused them with his claw, including Ignis's flamethrower.

Background

During Countless battles, Raven often excessively overheat his arm more then usual. He soon realizes that his arm is reaching its limit.
"This arm will sooner or later will fail to work in its current state and just be a pain in the ass..."
To have a stronger destructive power and durability that can withstand numerous overheats, Raven went to consult with the ponggo race on modifications of his arm. To increase the fireballs flame resistance when firing and a stronger core for the tip, Raven was told to get the arm of Ignis, which can shoot nuclear flames. But the flames of nuclear energy was too intense to be mounted on his nasod arm, however Taro told raven that there is a metal that can withstand the heat. The dark steel of Dullahan Knight. However the dark steel was too heavy to mount on Raven's arm, so he needed to collect some magical golems stick which can change the weight of any object. After Raven collected all the material required, the punggo fused all the materials into his arm, and the transformation was complete.

Second Class Advancement

Veteran Commander can also be obtained by using the Item Mall item: Badge of the Crow Mercenaries.

At Lv35, Weapon Taker can advance into Veteran Commander. The second class advancement quest is obtained from Ariel, the event NPC located in every town.

Veteran Commander

1. Speak with Altera Pongo Elder Adel.
2. Collect 30 drops From The Altera Race.
   • Recommended 4-5 Very Hard Mode.
3. • Collect 20 drops from Elite Nasod Guard: Shield in 4-6
   • Collect 2 drop from ignis in 4-6 Very hard Mode.
4. Speak with Lento in Peita
5. • Collect 3 drops from Dullahan Knight in X-1.
   • Collect 15 Golem drops in X-1.

File:VCcombo1.png	Air Bomb Raid (Will overheat) Raven jumps into the air, he shoots out a flaming rocket, and continue combo with a stream of rockets at a 45 degrees range. The 1st rocket he shoots out require MP. The other rockets fired requires you to overheat to fire more then 1. When the rockets missed the targets and lands on the floor, it will set it ablaze and any targets who walk pass it will receive damage.
	Sword Flame Thrower (Will overheat) After executing the normal >>ZZ combo, Raven spins around, striking the target with his claw, and fires out a flame thrower from his arm. Requires overheat to continuously throw fire. Hold the button to continue spraying flames.

Trivia

• Whenever Veteran Commander's arm overheats, it will show as his arm 'vents' opening, and makes a sound when it closes.
• Veteran Commander is able to stay in mid-air for over a minute. With the infinite MP option in Training Mode, Veteran Commander can stay airborne indefinitely.
• Veteran Commander's blade resembles a crow, this might be a pun on his name Raven.
• Despite the fact that Veteran Commander is a Commander, not much is known about the Crow Mercenaries.
• Veteran Commander's hair has a mixture of Red and Black, however there is no information of how his hair turn red.
  • Reckless Fist/Over Taker, Infinity Sword and Chung are the only classes/characters with an additional color in their hair.
• In Veteran Commander portrait, he wears a Necklace accessory. Other class that also have Necklace accessory in their portrait are Rune Slayer, Infinity Sword , Reckless Fist and his previous job, Weapon Taker.
  • Veteran Commander's Necklace, however, is different from Weapon Taker's.
• Veteran Commander's Nasod arm is the most armored when compared with Blade Master and Reckless Fist.
• Veteran Commander's Deadly Raid is the only known character exclusive Special Active that doesn't involve calling out the attack.
