Tip and Details

  • While in Chaos Cannon stance, Chung is able to slowly move around.
    • If Chung jumps around during Chaos Cannon stance, he is able to momentarily cancel the shooting. Meaning if Chung just keep jumping around, no shots will be fired.
  • He will be in heavy stance and have more damage reduction then a normal heavy stance block throughout the entire duration of this skill.
    • Whenever he gets hit during the skill, he will fire a shot.
    • After the duration of the skill, Chung will momentarily be in regular heavy stance.
  • This skill does not knockdown and flinches mobs for a longer period of time on impact than a normal hit.
    • This can make Magmanta unable to retreat.
  • In places such as Henir where there are multiple strong bosses, this can be used between two monsters to maximize the damage done as the explosions are large enough to hit targets on both sides of Chung.
    • Party members can help facilitate this by pushing mobs together.
    • This method has an additional benefit in that mob size does not matter, allowing full damage to be done to multiple human-sized mobs at once, such as double Ran in Henir.

Updates

  • 3/29/2012
    • MP cost decreased from 300 MP to 250 MP.
    • Cooldown decreased from 60 seconds to 45 seconds.
    • Damage increased.

Trivia

  • Without getting any extra shots it can be fired a total of nine times over its duration.
    • It is possible to fire it up to 18 times.
    • This is extremely effective on bosses that can be hit by both shots such as Dark Nephilim.
  • Total outputted damage at level 5 is 31,122%~62,244% (37,346%~74,693% in Awakening).
