The island is home to the [[Ponggos]], a race of bipedal mole that lives within the island itself rather than on the surface. The island is also inhabited by the [[Nasod]], a secret race of extremely advanced and deadly technology. Altera is the fourth region that the [[Elgang]] visits and is where [[Raven]] and presumably [[Eve]] are introduced into the group. After searching for [[Wally]] on the [[3-6|Cargo Airship]], the [[Elgang]] learn that the airship flew to Altera. Upon arriving on the island, in Altera Village, the Elgang meet Adel of the Ponggos, who tells them of how an airship was attacked by another airship. Ponggo scouts discover that there is no trace of Wally and that the [[Black Crow mercenaries]] have landed on the island. Adel suggests that the Elgang ask [[Raven]], captain of the [[4-1|Black Crows]], for more information. However, the Black Crows become a looming threat to the Ponggos, so Adel requests that the Elgang to deal with the mercenaries. (To be continued...)
