'''Altera''' (Korean: 알테라 ''Altera'') is a mysterious floating island situated in the middle of [[Elsword World#Elios|Elrios]], located off the eastern coast of the continent of Rurensia. The island is home to the [[Ponggos]], a race of bipedal mole that lives within the island itself rather than on the surface. The island is also inhabited by the [[Nasod]], a secret race of extremely advanced and deadly technology. Altera is the fourth region that the [[Elgang]] visits and is where [[Raven]] and [[Eve]] are introduced into the group. The Elgang must deal with the [[Black Crow mercenaries]] and engage in war against the Nasod, who are discovered to be responsible for stealing the El from [[Wally]] in order for them to gain enough power to continue the ancient war against humanity.

After defeating [[Wally]] on the [[3-6|Cargo Airship]], the airship is attacked by another airship, one owned by the Black Crows. The airship crashes onto the floating island of Altera, and the [[Elgang]] escape the wreckage, coming across Altera Village. The Elgang meets Adel of the Ponggos, who informs them of the lack of any trace of Wally and suggests that the Elgang ask [[Raven]], captain of the [[4-1|Black Crows]], the reason for their attack on the airship. However, the Black Crows become a looming threat to the Ponggos, so Adel requests that the Elgang deals with the mercenaries. The Elgang confront Raven in a surprise attack and defeat him. Raven realizes his mistakes and decides to join the party to help them on their quest and atone for his sins. Raven reveals that [[4-6#Boss: King Nasod!|King Nasod]] is the one responsible for taking the El from Wally's airship. The Elgang then embarks on a perilous quest to [[4-6|Altera Core]], the headquarters of King Nasod, in order to retrieve the stolen El and prevent the Nasod from starting another war. After investigating the [[4-2|Return Plains]] and ending the [[4-3|Alteresia threat]], the Elgang learns the location of Altera Core. After first traversing through [[4-4|Altera Plain]], the Elgang comes across the [[4-5|Nasod Foundry]]. There, the Elgang successfully destroys the production line to stop the assembly of Nasods and defeats Raven’s robotic clone, [[4-5#Enemies|Crow Rider]], who was guarding the elevator that connects to Altera Core. After fighting through the security of Altera Core, the Elgang reaches King Nasod and engages in a climactic battle to decide the fate of humanity and Nasods alike. The Elgang triumphantly defeats the Nasod monarch, ending its reign and destroying the last of the Nasod race... or so the group thought. The Elgang comes across a preservation capsule containing what appeared to be a young girl. The pod opens up and the capsule's resident is "reactivated". Eve slaps [[Elsword]] as an "angry" response to the news. Despite that, Elsword tells her that she is not alone and that he will be her friend. Though confused by his statement, Eve decides to join the Elgang in order to once again revive the Nasod race. And so, the Elgang retrieves the El and returns it to Ruben. The area contains a massive energy plant that generates power for [[4-6|Altera Core]], which can be seen in the background. The entrance to [[4-5|Nasod Foundry]] can be seen at the middle bottom of the area. The field is overrunning with Nasod ready to attack on sight. At the center of the area, there is an air lift that will launch a character who steps on it upwards. On the right side of the area, near the entrance to the Nasod Dumpsite, are two conveyor belts running in opposite directions that one may ride on.
