Combat Ranger

Specialty

The Combat Ranger loves to kick butt. While she still uses her bow, she prefers to move in close and use her awesome melee attacks. Her powerful legs allow her to launch enemies into the air so that she can attack them with a barrage of combos while they're most vulnerable.

Background

As Rena was traveling, she decides to improve her martial arts skills so that she can defeat anyone who stood in her way. Training her kicks allowed her to become a Combat Ranger.


First Class Advancement

After completing the Ranger quest chain, Rena can decide between advancing as Sniping Ranger, Combat Ranger or Trapping Ranger.
Combat Ranger can also be obtained by using the Cash Shop item: Combat Ranger's Spirit.

Combat Ranger

  1. Talk to Luichel in Elder
  2. Eliminate 8 Big Soldiers and 8 Little Soldiers in 2-5 on any difficulty.
  3. Clear 2-5 on Hard or Higher within 10 minutes.
  4. Clear 2-5 on Very Hard with B rank or higher.


At Lv35, a Combat Ranger can advance into a Wind Sneaker.

Windmill

Double jumping, Rena stomps down into the ground and does a wide windmill that
launches all enemies into the air.

  • Interestingly enough, you can use ^^XZ to do this as well
    • In the Action Tree, it shows ^^X, but not ^^XZ
  • Replaces the ^^X arrows with a stomp
    • Though it isn't shown in the additional combos page you see when you job change
    • This means that you can do both ^^Z, and ^^X, for looping

Double Slide

An upgrade of her normal dash attack, Rena has the ability to dash once more.
Her first dash can also be cancelled for an Active or Special Active.
