- The Thorns Throw will instantly turn into Overgrowing Thorns on contact with an enemy, allowing the skill to do deal full damage to any enemy in front of you.
- The game itself does not mention anything about what the "Overgrow" means for the skill's Valasia Response effect, though it seems to be a size increase similar to the Gigantic trait, letting the Overgrowing Thorns hit a very tiny amount further away. It has no practical impact on the skill's effectiveness however.
- Each individual thorn will apply a stack of Valasia Seed on contact, making it an excellent opening skill to instantly apply stage 3 to any given enemy.
- This skill is affected by the Free Training hit count error, with the Overgrowing Thorns dealing only 5 hits instead of 6.
