Add finds his mother's research file on how to treat humans using the extract from plants from the data he retrieves from Wally.

Add realizes that humans are not that different from Nasods from the research files.

With his mother's research and his own knowledge on Nasods, he comes to the conclusion that controlling humans like Nasods will allow him to easily achieve his goal and reveal himself to the world in the name of science.

월리를 추격해 그가 숨긴 실험실의 자료들을 전부 회수한 애드는 그곳에서 전에 보지 못한 어머니의 연구 자료를 발견한다. 아버지의 엄한 가르침을 따라가는 데만도 벅차 어머니의 연구 내용은 잘 알지 못했다. 막연하게 식물과 재생 에너지를 연구했다는 것 정도가 떠오를 뿐이었다.

아릿한 그리움과 미안함으로 연구 자료를 보던 애드는 어머니가 식물과 재생에너지만 연구한 게 아니었음을 알게 된다. 식물에서 추출한 성분으로 고안한 치료제나 진통제, 사람의 인체와 약학, 병리학에 관련한 자료로 빼곡했다. 어머니를 추억하며 들춰본 것들이었지만, 애드는 어느새 추억이 아니라 연구 내용 자체에 빠져들고 있었다.

치료와 부작용, 약의 작용과 신체의 반응. 경우에 따라 사람을 살릴 수도, 다시 주저앉힐 수도 있는 위험을 동반한 영역.... 한참 동안 연구 자료를 들여다본 애드가 내린 결론은 ‘사람도 나소드와 크게 다를 것 없다’는 거였다. 고작 이거였나? 인간은 더 복잡하고 섬세하게 만들어진 줄 알았는데! 깨달음의 순간에 애드가 느낀 여러 감정 중, 가장 크게 느껴진 건 해방감이었다. 애드를 이곳까지 이끈 건 집념과 과거의 수모를 반복하지 않겠다는 강한 다짐. 그래서 이 악물고, 쉴 새 없이 달려왔다. 그런데… 그런데 말이지…

“인간도 나소드와 크게 다를 게 없다면, 통제해 버리면 그만 아닌가?”
