Corrupted from demonic energy and chaos, Ain couldn't return the El to its original state and feels great emptiness and confusion.

Ain's endless anxiety causes him to finally give up on Goddess' response that he desperately, but resentfully waited for.

Deciding that he can pay for whatever sins he commit later, he decides to bait for response from the Goddess even if he has to destroy Elrios that the Goddess loves so much.

...엘을 향해 손을 뻗던 아인이 순간 움찔하며 몸을 움츠렸다. 왠지 이래선 안 될 것 같다는 느낌.
생각이 닿기도 전에 몸이 먼저 반응하는 본능적인 거부감이 아인의 손을 바닥으로 잡아끌었다.
곧 아인은 거부감의 이유를 깨달았다. 마기와 혼돈의 힘에 오염된 신의 사자는 엘을 온전히 복구할 수 없다.

허망했다.
자신이 사명을 다 하면 모든 것이 제자리를 찾아갈 거라고 믿었는데, 이제 어찌해야 한단 말인가.
이 상황은 자신이 판단할 수 있는 일이 아니었다. 혼란스러워진 아인은 그 어느 때보다도 절실하게 여신의 답을 갈구했다.
여신께서 미욱한 사자의 앞길을 밝혀주시길, 아니면 사명에 실패한 사자를 벌하러 와 주시길, 그도 아니면 자신의 사명을 대신할 다른 존재를 보내주시기를...
내용이 무엇이든 여신께서 응답해 주시기만 한다면 그 끝이 구원이건 파멸이건 아인은 기꺼이 받아들일 수 있었다.
하지만 돌아오는 건 여느 때와 같이 끔찍한 침묵뿐이었다.

왜...? 아인은 이해할 수 없었다.
갑작스러웠던 엘의 폭발, 헤니르, 마족, 엘의 복원과 바뀐 자신의 권속... 사명을 이행하는 데 있어 일개 신의 사자로서는 통제할 수 없는 사건이 줄곧 이어지지 않았던가.
아인은 여신이 원망스러워졌다. 절절한 외침, 호소와 원망, 그리고 애원에도 아인은 아무런 보답을 받지 못했다.
자신이 저 엘리오스의 피조물들처럼 과분한 것을 원하는 것도 아니지 않은가.
어째서 여신께서는 이 모든 상황에 침묵만 고집하고 계신단 말인가. 자신을 완전히 버린 것이 아니고서야 이럴 수는.......

긴 물음 끝에 아인은 체념하고 다른 길을 모색하기로 했다. 이렇게 된 이상 어떤 답이든 들어야만 했다.
내가 여신께 닿을 수 없다면, 반대로 여신께서 날 찾게 만들겠다.

“엘을 여신께 되돌려 드릴 것이다.”

그것이 비록 여신께서 사랑하는 엘리오스를 무너트리게 될지라도.
여신께 닿을 수만 있다면 어떤 죗값이든 치를 것이다.

A twisted emissary of the god who doesn’t hesitate to destroy to force an answer from the goddess. A class that uses Arte is formed by continuously retrieving and returning El energy that supports effective and powerful battles.

The Giant El had been restored. All the energy Ain had gathered had been absorbed into it. He had not expected it, but neither did he mind. The restoration of the El was needed for his mission. For a moment he believed he could soon fulfill his duty. Now, if he sacrificed himself and injected his strength into the Giant El, it would return to its stable state…

As he stretched his hand toward the El, he winced and recoiled. An instinct deep within screamed that he shouldn’t do this. Before he could even think, an instinctive repulsion pulled his hand away from the El and toward the ground. The reason for this repulsion soon became obvious. A god’s representative who’d been corrupted by demonic energy and steeped in the power of chaos cannot fully restore the El.

Everything was in vain. He believed everything would return to its place if he could just fulfill his mission, and now what should he do? He couldn’t just decide what to do alone. Confused and more desperate than ever, he called out for his goddess’ answer. Whether she chose to enlighten the path of her foolish emissary, or descend to punish him for failing his mission, or replace him with another… Be it salvation or destruction, so long as she replied, Ain was willing to heed any answer. However, the only thing he received was that same horrifying silence.

Why…? He couldn’t understand. The sudden explosion of the El, Henir, demons, his authority changing from Ishmael to Elria… Unforeseen events piled up, one after another, things he hadn’t been tasked to deal with. He grew resentful of the goddess. He cried out, pleaded, begged, threw his resentment up in prayer, and received only silence. He wasn’t asking for something he didn’t deserve, like those foolish creatures of Elrios! How could she insist on silence in all these situations? Unless she had completely abandoned him–

As his crisis of faith petered into exhaustion, Ain decided to give up and find another way. At this point, he had to hear an answer. Any answer. And if he couldn’t reach the goddess himself, then he would force her to look for him.

“I will return the El to the goddess.” Even if it means destroying the goddess’s beloved Elrios. If I can reach her… It’ll be worth any sin.

Description
The Large El was restored and he thought he could complete the mission, but something unthinkable happened. Perhaps it will lead to another disaster not unlike the El Explosion... Just like that, his one hope, his mission can never be achieved. In midst of this chaos, the only thing he could rely on was an answer from the Goddess. Yet, despite his desperate cries, the Goddess still remained silent. Why? He thought this was all the will of the Goddess. He believed all these hardships and difficulties he could not resolve by himself were all trials he must overcome. But was that all in his head? All his cries, prayer, blame, pleas... Did none of them reach the Goddess? ...If that's the case, he needed to find another path. If he can't do anything to achieve what he wants and can never reach the Goddess, then all he needs to do is make the Goddess look for him. He is her faithful servant. He will complete his mission and return the El to the Goddess. Even if that means destroying her beloved Elrios. Ain headed towards the sanctum. 'He' was waiting for his answer at the heart of the sanctum.

Opferung means "sacrifice" in German.
- Opferung's Korean name, Bigott, is a German term for someone who is overly devoted to their faith, while hypocritically showing religious intolerance and pettiness towards others.
  - Opferung's mini icon follows after his original name in the KR server, displaying an "I", as the "B" is already taken for Bluhen's mini icon.
Contrary to the canon events of Hall of El, as he was tainted with demonic energy, Ain's instincts do not allow him to merge back with the Giant El after the events of its restoration per his original mission, retaining the body made by Ishmael. Due to this rejection and his amplified negative emotions, he seeks to do anything to make the Goddess find and judge him, including evil deeds.
Due to his continuous corruption by demonic energy, Ain's hair turns black while his hands gain a demonic appearance, similar to Demonio. His pupils transform to horizontal slits, resembling goat eyes. Goats have traditionally been associated with Satan.
- His promotional accessory features him having a tail-like ornament. His Spiritualism wings further enhances his demonic appearance by featuring a demon tail.
- Unlike Richter and Bluhen, who were cleansed of Henir corruption, Opferung's Spiritualism form still retains aspects of his Henir corruption, changing his sclera again to dark purple.
Compared to Herrscher, Opferung's design resembles the enemies encountered in Sea of Ruin and Labyrinth of Ruin, with abstract shapes and dark blue/purple coloration. This implies that the two "versions" of Henir enemy designs found in the game are meant to distinguish between Elrios and Demon Realm creatures corrupted and/or created by Henir, with Opferung taking after the latter.
Opferung's age is listed as 'unknown', possibly due to the demonic energy corrupting his body.
