Apostasia
[Fallen Ruler of the Abyss]
After realizing the truth about the beginning and end of all things at the edge of Chaos, Ain abandons his mission and chose to embrace the Power of Chaos. A job that takes advantage of using awakened state of Henir in battle.
Background
Ain carries on with the mission but as he continues to use his power, the chaos and the corruption further corrodes his body. Traces of Henir also emerge and become painfully obvious. He continues to suffer through the agony but only to continue his mission.
Ain heads to Feita to receive answers from the Goddess but upon arrival he was overwhelmed by the presence of demonic energy and the sheer number of demons surrounding the area. Ain is unshaken and charges to battle but comes face to face with the Dark El. He becomes consumed by the fully realized Seed of Chaos.
"The mission is for those who will eventually disappear, and I who was created for nothing more than that mission, mean nothing."
Ain ascends from the chaos completely abandoning the Goddess and the mission.
He has embraced Henir's chaos and ultimately becomes the Ruler of the Abyss.

As Ain chased the trace of the El all the way to Altera, the Seed of Chaos was growing. This power of God that mutated before he even realized. The more he used this power, the more his body fell apart as if in protest, and Henir's influence became greater. But Ain believed he must use everything in his arsenal to complete the mission. However, the longer he had to endure the pain, another thought started to invade his thoughts. Did he truly have to go through these lengths to complete his mission?
Ain sees countless Nasods being built only to be discarded by humans based on their need at Nasod Foundry. He was just like them, created to complete the mission, only to disappear after. Ain feels doubt towards his existence and despair and fear towards his future. What shall he do? Feeling lost, Ain desperately chases after Elsword.

Description
Even Elsword with his familiar aura was not able to calm his fears. Ain realizes once again that the Goddess is the only one who can take away his fears. Ain leaves the El Search Party and head to Shrine of Dedication in Feita to reach the Goddess and confirm the meaning of his existence.
Once Ain arrived in Feita, he is shocked by the demonic energy surrounding Feita.
Even the path to the Shrine was swarming with demons, but Ain believe that all this chaos would wash away the moment he reached the Goddess... until he saw the El shard completely tainted by demonic energy.
'Even the El that I thought was solely the Goddess's can be corrupted by demonic energy...'
With his faith towards the Goddess shattered, nothing tied him down and Ain is completely swallowed by the large Seed of Chaos. There, he faced the core of chaos again. Covered in chaos, Ain no longer felt unstable from it.
At the end where everything is mixed together and scatters in silence, Ain realizes that everything must return to nothing. The mission given by the Goddess was also for beings that will eventually turn to nothing. He, who was created for such mission, also had no meaning.
Ain abandons the Goddess and the mission that he trusted, and accepts the chaos that's been eating away at him.
When Ain comes out of Henir, his body begins to fall apart from the mutated power and the overwhelming demonic energy, but that held no meaning any more. The demons that blocked his way, the humans, all will face the same ending, becoming nothing. Ain headed to the Underground Chapel to sort out his final thoughts on the Goddess.

Apostasia is a Greek term for apostasy, which is the abandonment or renunciation of a religion.
The initial for Apostasia is P instead of A to prevent confusion with Arme Thaumaturgy.
Unlike Arme Thaumaturgy and Erbluhen Emotion whose hair color changes in response to his primary power, Apostasia's hair color still retains the dark shade from Lofty: Wanderer but does not change entirely.
Upon advancing to Apostasia, both pupils will be dyed dark green and have a ring pattern, the lower-left bit of his face will start to be corrupted, his mouth becomes dark green, and his expression will be changed to a blank stare. In his Spiritualism mode, his pupils will change shape and become light blue, his sclera will be changed to dark blue. His character selection screen quote also changes. In addition, the cloak in his regular portrait does not appear in his Spiritualism mode models or portraits.
Apostasia's portrait depicts him in his idle pose.
The corruption of Henir on his arms, body, and legs are part of his promotional gloves, top piece, and bottom piece, respectively.
Contrary to how Apostasia's Spiritualism model looks in-game, the circle on his chest is hollow, having the dark green coming from the back of his hair.
