Most forms of reloading qualify for this passive, such as from commands and certain skills (like Scare Chase) and passives (like Cannoneer's Perseverance), though the reload chance from firing missiles during Siege Shelling is notably unaffected and will only ever reload the 1 cannonball spent.
- This passive's own reload when attacked can also not gain the other additional reload effect on top of it.

Before the passive was moved to Shelling Guardian, Reload Mastery used to have a unique icon. This however was changed when the passive was modified for Shelling Guardian, now reusing the same icon as Reload Cannon.

Before Shelling Guardian was released, Reload Mastery was a passive that boosted Reload Cannon's damage and increased the amount of ammo it reloaded from 1 to 2 in later levels.
