1.What is the Way of the Sword?
When playing Dungeon, there will be an additional gauge the "Way of the Sword" gauge which will enable you to activate "Aura of Vitality", "Spirit of Destruction" for a period of time depending on energy obtained shown in the gauge.
2.How do I obtain Way of the Sword points?
Depending on the type of command skill (e.g. Z and X key moves), you will gain points of vitality or destruction. When a certain amount of points are obtained, Elsword will be able to activate the respective aura.
Note that when a skill has a Destructive Property, it saps up destructive energy and produces vitality energy. Conversely, when a skill has a Vitality Property, it saps up vitality and produces destructive energy.

3.What is the "Sword of Vitality"?
When an attack (with vitality-producing properties) is successful you will acquire vitality energy at the expense of the destruction energy. At the peak of vitality energy, the Sword of Vitality will be unleashed in the form of an azure aura.
This aura consumes the collected energy through z command attacks and vitality attribute actives. In addition to having an increased mp gain while attacking a monster with a z command, Sword of Vitality also increases attack speed, movement speed, reduces the MP consumption of actives by 30%, and increases mp gained when successfully connecting attacks from said vitality attribute active.
You will stay in this state until the Vitality energy runs out.
- Destructive attribute actives add to the vitality energy when you are still in the process of filling the bar, whereas vitality attribute skills do not add to the vitality bar (they actually decrease vitality energy by a little bit - thereby adding to destructive energy.)
- Destructive attribute skills do not consume vitality energy when Sword of Vitality is active.
- X attacks do not decrease Vitality Energy when Sword of Vitality is active.
- Z attacks consume Vitality Energy when Sword of Vitality is active for +15 mp per hit.
4.What is the "Sword of Destruction"?
When you apply a successful command or skill (with destructive energy-producing properties), you will acquire an aura of destruction. At the peak of destruction energy collected, you will unleash this crimson aura.
This aura consumes the energy collected through x command attacks and destruction attribute actives. You will also be able to enter a form of berserk when you are attacked by an enemy while Sword of Destruction is active. Benefits from this aura include the ability to activate stoic when attacked, and increased damage.
You will stay in this state until the Destruction energy runs out.
- Vitality attribute actives add to the destructive energy when you are still in the process of filling the bar, whereas destructive attribute skills do not add to the destructive bar (they actually decrease destructive energy by a little bit - thereby adding to vitality energy.)
- Vitality attribute skills do not consume destructive energy when Sword of Destruction is active.
- Z attacks do not decrease Destructive Energy when Sword of Destruction is active.
- X attacks consume Destructive Energy when Sword of Destruction is active for 2x damage.
- Actives that have the Destructive property deal 1.5x more damage.
- When attacked while Sword of Destruction is active, Elsword will howl - enemies within his immediate surrounding are damaged and lifted slightly, followed by stoic activation. This process will not occur again until stoic obtained from the initial howl subsides.
