Basic Information

Awakening Mode is a special ability that is available to all characters. While in Awakening Mode, attack power is boosted by 20% for a its Duration, or 30% if the character has achieved Transcendence. Certain Skills also obtain unique characteristics while Awakened.

When striking an enemy with an Active, if the foe survives, the Core will deal a strike to prevent Knockdown and inflicts damage based on its level prior.
When damaged from a standstill, the Core will convert into a shield that will decrease damage taken for a brief period of time, Core loses one Level.
Lastly, when Awakening Mode ends, Core will vanish and grant Raven HP and MP based on its level up to that moment.

When entering 1-bead or 2-bead Awakening, Chung will regain his entire Cannonball supply.
When entering 3-bead Awakening, Chung will instead enter Berserk Mode, which will outright grant him an unlimited Cannonball pool.
Each job path has additional perks to further enhance Awakening/Berserk Mode.

Although the player is fully capable of using the Spirit Orb System outside of Awakening, using it will provide some benefits.
When entering 1-bead or 2-bead Awakening, Ara will recover a certain amount of Orbs and gain some Stat bonuses for the Duration.
When entering 3-bead Awakening, Ara will enter Celestial Fox Mode, granting her a full supply of Orbs, higher Stat bonuses and various other effects such as:
Excess Orbs being turned into MP, Gaining Orbs when hitting with 6 Commands and Recovering a portion of HP when killing enemies.

Unlike other characters' Awakening, Add's awakening is called Dynamo Configuration Mode (DC).
It is filled by attacking, being attacked and using certain Special Actives and when Add has at least 100 DP, he is able to Awaken like any other character.
Unlike other Characters, Add's does not provide Skill Freeze, but will grant him Invulnerability during activation and will deal damage.
When in DC Mode, dealt hits will deplete his DP but Add will gain a damage boost, reduce DP cost for DP-reliant Skills and gain a Dynamo Mutation Point (DMP),
which are expended when Special Actives are used in DC Mode to further increase their damage or grant them special properties.
Each job path has additional perks to further enhance Dynamo Configuration/Dynamo Mutation System.

Ain can only hold one Awakening Bead at a time and when Awakened, recieves a much lower damage boost, however, he can Re-awaken while Awakened, granting:

Tips and Details

  • Without any stats invested to the Awakening Charge Speed stat, one Awakening Bead can be charged by performing 100 hits or being attacked with 50 hits.
  • Most characters have a delay when awakening that freezes the screen (around 0.7 secs.), which can be used to gain an advantage in combat.
    • When awakening on a Mount, there is no delay whatsoever, making it instantaneous.
  • Previously, awakening just before transitioning into another area in a dungeon, would result in your beads being consumed, and awakening not activating. This was later fixed, as your awakening will activate accordingly once the next area finishes loading.
    • Awakening can still be interrupted on rare occasions, either by being attacked, or scripted events.
