Epic NPCs adalah fitur yang ditambahkan didalam mode Player vs Player (PvP) dengan memanfaatkan "Matchmaking" atau Auto Search. Normalnya, Matchmaking adalah fitur yang mempertemukan seorang player dengan player lain yang memiliki stats dan rank yang setingkat secara acak didalam sebuah PvP match. Fitur Epic NPC akan memberikan kesempatan bagi player (jarang) untuk tidak melawan player lain, melainkan NPC-NPC (bukan pemain, melainkan AI) khusus yang bertindak seperti Player dalam PvP pada umumnya, tapi memiliki kemampuan yang tinggi dan beberapa efek tambahan yang hanya dimiliki oleh NPC tersebut. Di Indonesia, saat ini tersedia 9 Epic NPC, masing-masing dengan Job tersendiri seperti layaknya Player. Karena kemampuannya yang tinggi dan keunikan masing-masing NPC, Epic NPC terkenal sebagai tantangan yang berat didalam mode PvP, dan tidak semua player dapat menghadapi mereka. Tapi, jika berhasil mengalahkan mereka, hadiah-hadiah menarik menunggu player berupa Title khusus, Rank Point yang tinggi (sekitar 20-30 RP), Arena Point dan sejumlah EXP. Meskipun player kalah sekalipun, sejumlah Arena Point dan EXP dalam jumlah besar akan diberikan, meskipun Player gagal melakukan Kill terhadap para NPC.

Title khusus dapat diperolah setelah mengalahkan Epic NPC tertentu beberapa kali. Dikarenakan kemampuan Epic NPC yang tinggi, Title-title ini sulit untuk diperoleh, tapi efek yang diberikan dari masing-masing title merupakan sebagian efek terbaik di dalam Elsword Online.

Spesifikasi Epic NPC

Epic NPCs mempunyai beberapa kesamaan, yaitu:

• Masing-masing mempunyai 30% Action Speed dan juga 30% Movement Speed dan Jump Speed. Ini membuat mereka dapat bergerak dan menyerang dengan cepat, dan juga dapat melarikan diri dari combo yang lambat. Ini juga merupakan alasan kenapa Epic NPC dapat menggunakan Skill atau Awakening di tengah-tengah combo. Serangan Aerial juga tidak disarankan karena mereka dapat menggunakan Skill atau serangan normal untuk menyerang balik.
• Masing-masing mempunyai sekitar 22% Evasion. 20% Accuracy disarankan untuk dimiliki ketika menghadapi mereka.
• Semua Epic NPCs memiliki skill pasif yang memberikan MP regeneration yang sangat tinggi, dan MP gain yang juga tinggi ketika menyerang dan diserang. Untungnya, Epic NPC memiliki waktu cooldown Mana Break untuk mencegahnya terus menerus memakai Mana Break untuk keluar dari combo. MP regeneration yang didapat berjumlah 10 MP per detik. Perlu diketahui bahwa sejumlah NPC memiliki kesulitan untuk memiliki persediaan MP yang cukup, meskipun memiliki bonus skill ini. Ini disebabkan oleh kemampuan skill-skill mereka sendiri, yang membuat mereka membuang-buang MP untuk melakukannya. Cth : Ethan memiliki kemampuan untuk melakukan Emergency Escape dengan chance sebesar 99%. Kemampuan ini membuatnya sulit untuk diserang, tapi setiap pemakaian Emergency Escape membuatnya kehilangan MP.
• Dalam match melawan Epic NPC, koneksi game dirubah menjadi mode dungeon, dimana host akan dipilih dari salah satu Player (jika bermain secara party) dan menjadi server sementara selama durasi match. Jika seandainya host memiliki koneksi yang kurang bagus, bukan tidak mungkin jika player lain mengalami efek dimana Epic NPC tampak lagging, meskipun host tidak merasa demikian. Disarankan untuk menentukan host dengan koneksi terbaik sebelum berusaha melawan Epic NPC secara party.
• Epic NPC, karena pada dasarnya bukan player, menyebabkan mereka tidak mengambil Item.
• Masih dalam kaitan yang sama, dimana Epic NPC bukan player, maka Debuffs terhadap Epic NPC akan berpengaruh seperti layaknya monster di dalam dungeon. Cth : Status Leg Wound tidak akan membuat Epic NPC tidak dapat berlari.
• Epic NPCs memiliki resistance tinggi terhadap Element, membuat mereka sulit diserang melalui efek-efek elemental.
• Damage yang dilakukan Epic NPC dapat dikurangi oleh properti Reduced Damage. 30% Reduced Damage akan membuat semua Special Active skill turun hingga 1%. Hal ini juga berlaku terhadap properti Additional Damage untuk memberikan damage lebih kepada Epic NPC. Ini disebabkan karena ketika melawan Epic NPC, Attack dan Defense dikurangi menjadi default (seperti tidak menggunakan equip), seperti Mode Challenge Henir. Oleh karena itu, Additional Damage dan Reduced Damage memiliki nilai lebih dalam melawan Epic NPC.

Encountering Epic NPCs

Epic NPC hanya muncul di PvP Random Match. Mereka bisa muncul di 1v1, 2v2, maupun 3v3. Meskipun chance untuk menemui Epic NPC belum diketahui secara pasti, spekulasi mengenai kemunculan mereka adalah sebagai berikut:

• Epic NPC mengganti lawan yang sudah dipasangkan sebelumnya. Oleh karena itu, player tidak dapat mengantri ketika tidak ada player di dalam antrian, dan otomatis bertemu dengan Epic NPC setelah antrian selesai. Hanya 1 player / team yang bertemu dengan Epic NPC. Pemain / team yang digantikan akan kembali kedalam antrian.

• • Karena penggantian lawan ini, Loading match akan dimanfaatkan untuk meng-generate Epic NPC yang menjadi lawan. Ini dapat menyebabkan komputer dengan spesifikasi rendah untuk mengalami crash.

• Rank tidak mempengaruhi tingkat kemunculan Epic NPC, dan kemungkinan munculnya juga tidak dipengaruhi oleh jumlah team member (1v1, 2v2, maupun 3v3).

• Epic NPC yang sedang dilawan di salah satu match tidak akan muncul di match pemain lain.

• • Ini juga membuat Epic NPC lebih mudah ditemui ketika jumlah player sedikit didalam Random Match.

• • Pada waktu atau hari tertentu, duplikat Epic NPC dapat meningkat, sehingga membuat chance bertemu Epic NPC meningkat.

• Epic NPC hanya muncul di beberapa map saja.

• Team yang dibuat secara random memiliki chance lebih tinggi untuk bertemu dengan Epic NPC dibandingkan team yang dibuat sebelumnya.

	Name: [[El Search Captain Lowe]] Class: Lord Knight Rank: S Kekuatan El dulu pernah hilang dan kemudian dikembalikan oleh para pahlawan legendaris. Kakek buyut Lowe adalah salah satu dari para pahlawan legendaris tersebut. Dia menyempurnakan Skill 'Mega Slash' dan mewariskannya kepada keturunannya. Lowe sekarang memfokuskan dirinya untuk melatih para petualang baru Elrios dan berharap salah satu dari mereka bisa mengembalikan kekuatan Elstone yang hilang.	Mega Slash yang lebih kuat Range yang lebih jauh.
	Name: [[Shadow Witch Speka]] Class: Void Princess Rank: SS Speka menjadi Shadow Witch Princess karena kecintaannya terhadap kegelapan. Semua pakaian kegemarannya harus memiliki warna hitam dan ungu, sehingga sifat kegelapannya dapat memunculkan dirinya. Dia mempelajarai buku sihirnya setiap hari dan terkadang menantang para petualang Elrios yang kuat. Dia ingin memperkuat kemampuan kegelapannya dan berhubungan dengan Petit Anger. Kecintaannya terhadap kegelapan dan kejahatan melebihi para Glitter Demon!	Mana Intake yang lebih kuat (menyerap 60MP dibandingkan 30MP). Petit Anger yang lebih besar. Durasi Mana Shield tidak terbatas.

Noah telah menguasai kemampuan elemental dasar api dan dapat merubahnya menjadi es. Serangan Ice Ball nya patut untuk diwaspadai dalam pertarungan melawannya. Noah juga memiliki kemampuan untuk membekukan musuh yang berada tepat dihadapannya. Persiapkan kelompokmu sebelum menantang kemampuan sihirnya!	Blizzard Shower yang lebih kuat. Semua serangan Fireball diubah menjadi Ice Balls, yang mampu mengakibatkan Freezing. Dapat memanggil Ice Spikes yang membekukan lawan ketika terkena. Durasi Mana Shield tidak terbatas.
	Name: [[Wind Shooter Amelia]] Class: Grand Archer Rank: SS Believe in the strength of the grand bow and try to follow Amelia's tactics. Friendly Elves are known treasure hunters that practice the mechanisms of archery. She can subdue an enemy from a long distance without getting hurt. Also, Amelia's arrows can be used to attack targets in a wide range. Velder is a good source of equipment and rare goods for adventurers and information on how to knock down your opponents. However, she can summon the wind spirit to strengthen her bow if she is in a tight situation. There is an old Feita folklore about a cursed demon sword hidden in this region's caves. Could he have made a contract with the sword?
