Chapter 17: Scorched Harbingers of Darkness

- Find the Priestess Anduran in the 'Lanox Village'
- Description: Following the prophecy of the Sander priestess Anduran, she feels a new presence of El and another priestess southeast of Sander. Let's go on an adventure to find the town that the new El and priestess resides in.
- Quest accepted dialogue:
- Anduran: Adventurer! A new danger is drawing near us. It is awaiting in the darkness...Hurry before it's too late...
- Raven: (...hmm? The prophecy is different from what the Water Priestess predicted? Anduran isn't sure...It's a different feel...this is our calling!!)
- Anduran: Ah...never have I felt such a powerful prophecy like this...! In times of crisis, we seek wisdom in the village! So the Water Priestess lead you here? Powerful beings all congregate at this place! I can't detect any remnants of the priestess here! Adventurer, you need to head east.
- Raven: It's better than no clues at all. So we should head east? Let's go!

- Vapor: Hmm, I'm sorry to tell everyone who has endured so much, but the revelation that Anduran saw troubles me...
- Anduran: From here... In the southeast... A land set ablaze... The power of another El can be felt... You must go and face new trials... Also... I feel the energy of another priestess of El...Lastly... It's not good news... I feel the spirit of a sinister demon... You must hurry, it's won't be long until it awakens!! Find the priestess of that town!!

- Visit the Fire Priestess 'Ignia' in 'Lanox'
- Description: As we entered the village of Lanox, an unexpected figure Ignia, the priestess of fire, says that she's plans to stay around town. Lets go talk to her to find out the strange phenomenon going on in the village of Lanox.

- Ignia: Hey! You! That's right, you over there!
- Elesis: Eeeh? Tell me who you are! Speak!!
- Ignia: I'm the fire priestess 'Ignia.' I take it you are all adventurers?? Hmm... What is this power?? Eeh?! You guys wouldn't happen to be the El Search Party by any chance, right?
- Elesis: Eh? Why is the fire priestess here?
- Ignia: A lot of things have happened, but first off, why don't you come back after you unload your luggage?
- Elesis: Okay, let's do that! There are things I want to talk about... I'll find you later!

- Ignia: We priestesses, more than ever before, felt a powerful aura of the Dark El in this place called Lanox. Pulled by this feeling, we gathered here. Also, as you can see, I am the only one remaining. The sun and moon priestess have both been kidnapped by an assailant. Only I was able to find my way out of that chaotic prison. That is why I was able to call you strong adventurers over here.
- Elesis: What?? That's dangerous!! Do you remember the location?
- Ignia: I don't remember the exact details; however, I'm sure it was somewhere in the 'Ashen Land'. For details about that place you should ask the village chief, if it's you guys, she might tell you... That self absorbed woman.

- Objective:
- Talk to the village chief 'Edel' in 'Lanox'
- Description: Find Chief Edel to learn more about the strange phenomenon happening in Lanox.

- Edel: (...!) The ground is shaking again... Trouble... Trouble... Who are you folks? Demons? Priestess? Hmm... Outsiders.
- Elesis: Mh hm- It looks like you're busy, I'm part of the El Search Party sent by the fire priestess.
- Edel: Huh? El Search Party? Hm... So you're that famous El Search Party? I've heard you solve any problem whatever it may be? I have a favor to ask... I'll find work for you, be sure to come back later.

- Edel: This area originally lived harmoniously due to the Fire El's power. Through that poewr, Lanox was able to make various advancements. I'm sure you can tell, it's pretty amazing. However, calamities have started endangering this area. The cause is unknown, but due to these calamities, this area and Lanox is in deep crisis. So you must find the cause and solve this problem! Now time is short, get going. If you go beyond a place near here called the 'Burnt Forest', you should be able to reach the 'Ashen Land' Originally due to harmonious energies it was a thick forest but... well you'll understand if you go there yourself.

- Requirements:
- Completed the Lanox, What's Going On? story quest
- Lv.71
- Objective:
- Burnt Forest, 'Any Difficulty'
- Clear the Burnt Forest on 'Any Difficulty' 0/1
- Description: The Burnt Forest is a remnant of a fire disaster. Apparently there are bizarre phenomena happening in the forest... Investigate the Burnt Forest to find out what exactly is going on.
Quest accepted dialogue
- Edel: I have yet to go to the 'Burnt Forest' where there have been sightings of disasters and strange phenomena. I need you to investigate the forest for any signs of danger from due to the results of the disaster. Alright, the chit-chat ends here! You must prepare to depart! Oh right, and don't bother me until I've sorted all of this out!
- Elesis: Why must something like this happen again... Let's hurry up and get moving.

- Edel: It looks like the reason for the strange phenomenon in the Burnt Forest is because of the angry divine beasts and the remaining embers... You worked hard, go rest for a bit.

- Burnt Forest, 'Any Difficulty'
- Collect Ember Shards (Burnt Forest, 'Any Difficulty') 0/20
- Description: The Burnt Forest has been on fire for a long time now and the fire doesn't not seem to stop burning. This cannot be explained by any natural means. Lets collect a Ember Shard from the undying flames and take it back to the village.

- Edel: No matter how I see it, it's odd... The 'Burnt Forest' has been ablaze for a long time now, but the fire doesn't seem to die out and it can't be put out. Wherever you are it feels like you're in a sea of fire. If it was just a normal fire, then it would have already been extinguished long ago... There is something alarming about this flame. Can you collect a few more of these embers and bring it to Alchemist Pesop in the village? If possible, deliver it to him quickly. I'm leaving it all to you.

- Pesop: Ho- this is very rare and precious. It doesn't seem like a normal ember. You're saying this hasn't gone out even until now. This place usually normal and it's unlikely for a strange phenomena to occur... I'll find out more about this ember. Come back later.

- Collect Large Ember Shards (Burnt Forest, 'Hard or Higher', Angry Mother Pig) 0/1
- Description: In order to understand the cause of the undying flames we'll need to acquire the large Ember Shard. Find the Large Ember Shard from the powerful monsters in the Burnt Forest.
Quest accepted dialogue
- Pesop: Oh ho! H-Ho...Hot-!! Just as I expected it cannot be extinguished. I must investigate this further, you say this was from a divine beast? I'll need larger ember in order to investigate further matters. Please bring me back a larger ember. You're more than likely to find it from a larger divine beast.
- Elesis: That there is a chilled porridge, I'll go ahead and grab it for you.

- Pesop: How marvelous! Another energy wavelength is coming to light!! Hmm... This energy wavelength is very similiar to the El's... That's right! This is definitely the El's energy- However... It's strange. Usually when energy gets emanated it should not be retained... Something could also have happened to the Fire El... That's right, you guys can just go find out.
