[[File: | | ||
Ara has a unique combo system which involves using Energy. Energy is shown as beads below your HP bar as a 10 bead gauge.
Energy depletes when using certain skills/active skills. It can also be replenished by using certain skills/active skills such as Energy Absorption.
=== | === Skill Linking ===
[[ | Ara is able to cancel certain skills by using another skill (except Repel or Tempest Dance) right before the previous skill used ends. This will cancel the skill's final hit and chain directly into the next skill, gaining extra Energy depending on the skill. For example, if you used Exorcism Stance 3: Shadoweave (which consumes 2 energy when used) and cancel with Tiger Stance 2: Tiger Claw, you will gain 2 Energy instead (-2 from using Shadow Knot and +4 from cancel bonus as stated in description).
[[ | |||
Skills part of a Stance will unlock special attacks when chained into each other, called a Secret Art. One such example is the Secret Dragon Arts - 'Blast'.
| |||
Finally, after filling your gauge | Finally, after filling your gauge with 10 beads, you can unleash certain skills which require no MP but instead deplete all Energy, such as Orchid Fall or Flying Kite, though this mechanic mainly applies for the Apsara path. Devi uses both MP and Energy to cast her strong skills (for example Ignition Spear and Energy Void), Shakti uses Energy as bonus points (for example Fox Valley and Fox Fire), while Surya uses them to power her party shared buffs. However, all the paths can use Falling Dragon that costs no MP but 10 beads, as it's shared among them.

<br/> | |||
Ara's has a unique third awakening bead that is embraced by a white fox with multiple tails. With 3 stacks of Awakening, Ara is possessed by the Nine Tailed Fox; Eun. While in this mode, her appearance (varies on her chosen class) changes, in which her hairstyle will change and 9 spectral tails will appear,giving her the appearance of the Gumiho. Equipped accessories will not be shown in this mode. Benefits of Eun Mode will be:
*Ara gains the standard awakening damage increase.
*All Speed/Critical stat increased.
*Unlike when she is in normal mode, her energy bar will automatically regenerate 1 orb after defeating an enemy/breaking an object or after hitting them 6 times with commands/Active skills while she is in Eun Mode.
**This is indicated by a small black fire surrounding her after the target dies.
**She also gets healed (roughly 2% HP) for every enemy you kill.
**After hitting with a command/Active skill, there is a short cooldown where hits will not be counted.<!--Unfortunately, I don't know the exact duration of this cooldown-->

*When using a Secret Art Stance skill such as Rakshasa Stance 1: Soul Reaping, if you cancel it with a stance of the same Art that doesn't directly follow it (in this case either Rakshasa Stance 3: Spear Prison or Rakshasa Stance 4: Soul Escape, pressing Stance 1 again will continue the art like nothing happened (casting 2, then 3, then 4, and causing the Secret Art to happen) as the other stance skills essentially "store" the secret art chain as being in progress.
**Theoretically, this would allow you to cast 1, 4, 3, 4 (pressing 3 again to chain to 4), 2, 3 and 4 in a row and still activate the secret art. Needless to say, this is unlikely to occur or be abusable during regular gameplay, as cancelling with anything but the following stance will require you to have the skill you're cancelling with in your skill slots, meaning it will be on cooldown once its turn comes in the normal chain of skills.
**This same art storage also occurs from arts that start with a command. You are fully capable of chaining from CDRCZ into Wolf Stance 4 -> 3 -> 4 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> Wolf Secret Art, assuming you have non-existant cooldowns.
*Secret Art skills will count as the same tier as the 4th stance in their art chain and will be affected by damage increases for this skill tier. However, they are their own unique skills, showing up under their own name in the Free Training damage log, as well as not being affected by the trait of the respective 4th stance or effects that increase its damage. They also do not gain the Transcendence slot bonus, even if the 4th stance is in the slot and gains the buff itself. Secret Art skills' damage does not get affected by Special Active Damage Increase from titles like The Setting Sun and Black and White.
*Secret Art Stance skills do not have any cooldown when chained into from a previous stance, as long as they are not on the skill bar themselves. Using any stance skill by itself other than the initial stance is therefore usually not advised, unless you do not intend to use the art.
*While Secret Art skills "cancel" the final hit of their respective 4th stance skills, since they are technically still part of the skill they will not cause any Energy Conversion to occur. For example, triggering Secret Wolf Arts - 'Killing Howl' will not cause you to gain 2 orbs from Wolf Stance 4: Wolf Fang's Energy Conversion.

Energy System
Ara has a unique combo system which involves using Energy. Energy is shown as beads below your HP bar as a 10 bead gauge.
Energy depletes when using certain skills/active skills. It can also be replenished by using certain skills/active skills such as Energy Absorption.
Skill Linking
Ara is able to cancel certain skills by using another skill (except Repel or Tempest Dance) right before the previous skill used ends.
Skills part of a Stance will unlock special attacks when chained into each other, called a Secret Art. One such example is the Secret Dragon Arts - 'Blast'.
Finally, after filling your gauge with 10 beads, you can unleash certain skills which require no MP but instead deplete all Energy, such as Orchid Fall or Flying Kite, though this mechanic mainly applies for the Apsara path.

Eun's Power
Ara's has a unique third awakening bead that is embraced by a white fox with multiple tails. With 3 stacks of Awakening, Ara is possessed by the Nine Tailed Fox; Eun. While in this mode, her appearance (varies on her chosen class) changes, in which her hairstyle will change and 9 spectral tails will appear,giving her the appearance of the Gumiho. Equipped accessories will not be shown in this mode. Benefits of Eun Mode will be:
- Ara gains the standard awakening damage increase.
- All Speed/Critical stat increased.
- Unlike when she is in normal mode, her energy bar will automatically regenerate 1 orb after defeating an enemy/breaking an object or after hitting them 6 times with commands/Active skills while she is in Eun Mode.
- This is indicated by a small black fire surrounding her after the target dies.
- She also gets healed (roughly 2% HP) for every enemy you kill.
- After hitting with a command/Active skill, there is a short cooldown where hits will not be counted.

Tips and Details
- When using a Secret Art Stance skill such as Rakshasa Stance 1: Soul Reaping, if you cancel it with a stance of the same Art that doesn't directly follow it (in this case either Rakshasa Stance 3: Spear Prison or Rakshasa Stance 4: Soul Escape, pressing Stance 1 again will continue the art like nothing happened (casting 2, then 3, then 4, and causing the Secret Art to happen) as the other stance skills essentially "store" the secret art chain as being in progress.
- Theoretically, this would allow you to cast 1, 4, 3, 4 (pressing 3 again to chain to 4), 2, 3 and 4 in a row and still activate the secret art. Needless to say, this is unlikely to occur or be abusable during regular gameplay, as cancelling with anything but the following stance will require you to have the skill you're cancelling with in your skill slots, meaning it will be on cooldown once its turn comes in the normal chain of skills.
- This same art storage also occurs from arts that start with a command. You are fully capable of chaining from into Wolf Stance 4 -> 3 -> 4 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4 -> Wolf Secret Art, assuming you have non-existant cooldowns.
- Secret Art skills will count as the same tier as the 4th stance in their art chain and will be affected by damage increases for this skill tier.
- Secret Art Stance skills do not have any cooldown when chained into from a previous stance, as long as they are not on the skill bar themselves. Using any stance skill by itself other than the initial stance is therefore usually not advised, unless you do not intend to use the art.
- While Secret Art skills "cancel" the final hit of their respective 4th stance skills, since they are technically still part of the skill they will not cause any Energy Conversion to occur. For example, triggering Secret Wolf Arts - 'Killing Howl' will not cause you to gain 2 orbs from Wolf Stance 4: Wolf Fang's Energy Conversion.
Trivia
- In the Korean server, Eun Mode is known as Celestial Fox Mode.
- In the Japanese Version of the game, when Ara enters Eun Mode, the pitch of her voice is noticeably lower.
- Unlike other special resources, Energy will be completely replenished when your character level increases.
- This even occurs if the player is in a town or rest area, even though leveling up in those areas does not restore MP.
