Chapter 21: A Certain Farewell

Soon after, they track it on its way to the Elysion Tower. To get in, they steal the A-grade core found in the city's toughest Nasod security unit, Surveillan. Yet they find an even tougher Nasod inside the tower. Maya, the protector of Atlas City, is furious that intruders made it all the way to the tower. The path may be clear on the way to Elysion now, but not without an unfortunate sacrifice.

It looks like it just extends endlessly into the sky. Add: Kuhuhu, didn't you say it was disconcerting? Raven: I did. But personal feelings aside, this technology is objectively impressive. Add: I agree. I was to see more. Not that we have the time to go on tour. Eve: The overall balance, and the finishing touch of each panel... This would not have been possible for anyone else but the Nasods. Eve: A building made by the Nasods... It's been so long since I've seen one. It brings back memories despite the differences from the Nasod architecture I'm familiar with. Eve: But... why are there Nasods in this dimension... Rena: Those three seem excited. Elesis: I don't think I ever saw those three share a common interest. Chung: Haha. I was interested in learning Nasod science... But it was complicated. Aisha: ... It was nothing. Just one meteor, that's all it took. I'm telling you, demons are no match for me! Yuno: Wow... This is the first time I've heard of magic... Your adventure sounds amazing! The only world I know is Atlas and Elysion. Yuno: A warp between dimensions? Do you think I could visit Elrios one day? Elsword: Of course! But aren't you scared? You might have noticed from our stories, but Elrios isn't exactly safe these days. Yuno: Heheh, a little! But I'm more excited. Rena: Yuno seems excited, too. Ciel: Hm... Can we... enter the tower now? I hope we don't set off the alarm. Raven: Yuno... You said the tower can only be entered by Nasods with A-grade core? Yuno: Yup. But I gave everyone grade-A authorization when I hacked the main AI earlier, so it should be fine. Lu: Then what are we waiting for? We can head right in! Elsword: But Yuno, what about your authorization? Yuno: Huhuhu, I didn't need one. I have the S rank core in my body. Yuno: That's enough energy to operate most large buildings or a small island! There are guards everywhere, too. Yuno: Don't worry, Elesis. I'm here! Yuno: Now... I'll hack into the tower's main AI and remove any dangerous obstacles along your path. While I do that, you should run toward the Elevator. Aisha: Ok! (TAP TAP TAP TAP...) Eve: ... This circuit looks like they're part of the defense system. I have a feeling... this won't be easy. Elesis: An elevator... Do I press this? (PRESS, PRESS, PRESS...) Elesis: ... Hm? It's not working. Yuno: Huh? Oh... There's a separate authentication system in the elevator. You can't operate it unless you are transporters. Yuno: It's a separate module that can't be accessed through the Tower's main AI. What should we do... Raven: Is there no other way? Yuno: Hm... There's the central transporting tube that's specifically used for transporting supplies... Yuno: It doesn't require separate authorization, so we should be able to reach Elysion without a problem... But... Aisha: But...? Yuno: Oh, it's nothing! I think that's our best option! I am worried about the Nasods guarding the transporting tube... Lu: That should be a piece of cake! Yuno: The transport tubes remove the gravitational pull on an object to make it float to Elysion! But it's doesn't apply to anything else, since it can be dangerous on living creatures. Elesis: Then how do we get all the way up there? Elsword: Levitation...? Only Eve can do that, we can't! Eve: I am not actually capable of levitation... Yuno: I'll lead the way and adjust the placement of the cubes. Then we should be able to go up, using them as steps. Yuno: Oh, and here. Take this, Eve. Eve: Hm? A memory? Who's memory is this? Yuno: It's my backup memory. Huhu, I'm sure you'll need it, so I'll give it to you! Yuno: Just in case. [Elysion Tower, Top Floor] Rena: Oho, stepping on moving cubes is pretty fun.
