The Harmony Festival is soon approaching and festival preparations are starting to ramp up. Ain does not understand why they aren't on their way to restore the El. Everybody including Ain aids in the festival preparations.

Ruben was busy with the preparation of the Harmony Festival, now that the stolen El has returned back in its place. Due to the negligence of the lord of Elder, the arrival for the supplies were delayed. As such, even the El Search Party was helping the preparation instead of training. Raven: I will go chop some wood. Elsword: I'll go help. We'll need a lot of wood to burn all night. Ain: ....... (RUSTLE- RUSTLE-) Ain: Elsword, I have a question. Elsword: Huh? What is it? Ain: Why is the El Search Party only in Ruben? Elsword: Huh? Why is it only in Ruben? Ain: Yes. Restoring the El is a valuable task, yet I don't think I've seen them in Elder or Bethma. Are there more in other regions? Elsword: Hm... I'm not sure about other regions... Raven: Ruben is the only one. Ain: Why is that? Is restoring the El no longer important? Raven: That's not the case. I do not know all the details, but I heard the situation surrounding the ownership of the El is quite complicated. After all, Velder is not the only country with the El. Raven: There used to be more El Search Party in other regions within the kingdom, but I heard they were downsized once it was clear they weren't showing any results. Ain: So it's a matter of ownership and results... Ain: In other words, they fought amongst themselves to claim the Goddess's blessing, and when there was no immediate gain, they used that as an excuse to stop the support. It's shortsighted and pathetic. Raven: It's amazing regardless. I have heard stories, but when I heard about it, it was much smaller. The El Search Party did an admirable job. Elsword: Of course! I'm just glad we got the El shard back before the Harmony Festival! Ain: ....... Elsword: We managed to chop a lot while talking. Raven: You're right. You two, take the firewood and return first. I'll stay a bit longer. There can never be too much firewood. Elsword: Huh? Wait...! Elsword: ... He doesn't have to avoid everyone. Ain: Elsword, may I ask you one more thing? Elsword: Huh...? What do you mean? Ain: There isn't any law requiring one to participate in the Harmony Festival, no? Ain: We did manage to retrieve Ruben's El, but surely you're not satisfied? We need to hurry if we wish to completely restore the El. Elsword: That's... true... But we don't need to hurry, right? Ain: 'We don't need to hurry?' Ain: Elsword, didn't you see the people who tried to use the El for their own selfish gains? Ain: It's the same for the Nasods. The Nasods are not completely without fault for the El overloading. Their main power source is the El after all. Ain: If that Nasod we saw in Altera or anyone else go after the El while we're resting like this, it will prove to be troublesome. Ain suppressed his frustration and tried to persuade Elsword, but Elsword didn't seem to get it even after Ain's insistence. Elsword: But that's the same for people and animals too, right? Ain: The idea of the El being owned by specific by a specific country or region is ludicrous. The El, is a gift bestowed by the Goddess of Elrios. Elsword: Um... Does the location of the El really matter? Ain: Of course it... ... What? Elsword: If the Goddess bestowed the El to Elrios, then it's fine as long as it's in Elrios isn't it? It doesn't really matter where. Ain: How... Elsword, do you have no desire to restore the El to its former glory? Elsword: Of course I do. Restoring the El is very important! Elsword: I just don't want to forcibly take the El from other people. Ain: No, Elsword, that's... Ain: ....... Ain: 'I accept the reasoning behind the people's wish to cycle the energy of the El.' After delivering firewood, Elsword and Ain briefly looked around. Villagers were all busy preparing for the festival and even Raven was awkwardly standing there amongst them. Elsword: How's the situation? Is it bad? Ann: It's not great. There's not enough food, and the fabrics haven't even arrived. I'm not sure if we'd have enough time to make the clothes... Ain: 'Is it necessary to have a festival even in a situation like this? I do not understand why they'd force themselves.' Lowe: Hey, at least look at the bright side. With this, we should be able to make enough food for ourselves. I heard there are some villages that's been pillaged by bandits. Ann: Still, I'm a little disheartened that this year's festival is lacking compared to last year's, especially the low supply of flour and meat. I don't think we can bake a lot of pies... Raven: ...... Raven looked concerned when he heard Ann and Lowe's complaint. He silently turned around and headed to the forest. Elsword: Where is Raven headed to now? He just came here... Is it ok for you to leave home at a time like this? Rena: Huhu, I guess I could have enjoyed the festival back home, but I wanted to come to Ruben today! Aisha: I see! It will be great enjoying the festival together! ... Ow! Rena: Oh, you pricked your finger! Are you ok? That fabric... Don't tell me you're only now starting to make the festival robes? Aisha: Owowowow. Yeah... The fabric haven't arrived until today. Rena: Don't hurt yourself and take your time. You too, Ain... Hm? You look like you've got this. Ain: Haha, I'll be fine, Ms. Elf. Trivia

Unlike the other Before Joining stories which take place prior to each character joining the El Search Party, Ain's takes place some time after the El Search Party return Ruben's El between Altera and Feita, while Ain is already part of the group.
