Finding a newborn Harpy, Lu and Ciel try to return it to its tribe, but are greeted with unfounded hostility. Something seems off, the Harpies don't appear to fighting in defense of their tribe, but in a hostile rage.

- The young Harpy looked like she hatched recently.
- Wings that are too small to support the body, soft, yellow down, and large, dark, shining eyes.
- Ciel: Oh! She must have been born recently!
- Lu: Aww, such a cute, lovely creature!
 Ciel: Didn't you say you were going to devour them just a moment ago? Lu: What! Eat this cute little thing? How could you!- Lu: Besides, the one that attacked us was fully grown! This little thing didn't do anything wrong! Awww, you cute little thing!
- The Harpy chick happily absorbed all the attention from Lu and Ciel. It seems the Harpies are not as guarded when they are chicks.
 Harpy Chick: PEEP PEEP~- Lu: She must be lost. Ciel, can we keep her?
- Ciel: That's a tempting offer... but no. If a Harpy chick is here, that means an adult Harpy is close by.
- Ciel: Meaning, we could be in danger. We should get out of here.
- They reluctantly said farewell to the Harpy chick. The chick followed them until she got distracted by something else.
- Ciel: Anyway, what a luck. I heard it's not easy to come by Harpy chicks.
- Ciel: Harpies are powerful, but they are weak and vulnerable when they are chicks. They can't even fly away because of their small wings.
- Ciel: That's why Harpies will take care of the young regardless of whether of not the chick is their own. It's rare to see one out of the nest.
- Lu: Oho! I see. To think such a vulnerable creature grows up to be so powerful.
- KYAAA-!!
- Lu: Yikes! What was that?!
- Ciel: It came from behind us! What is it? It isn't a Harpy's cry...
- It was the direction of where the Harpy chick was. The two hurried toward the sound.
- An Angry Gripig was threatening the Harpy chick.
- Harpy Chick: PEEP... PEEP!
- Lu: How, how dare that vicious creature threaten my lovely Peepers!
- Ciel: When did you give her a name?
- Lu: Just now! Ciel, let us defeat that creature!
- The two charged toward the Gripig.
- Ciel: ... ... ... ...
- Lu: Ahh, it's nice feeling full for once.
- Lu laid down satisfied. The beautiful night sky, the warm fire, and a stomach full of meat. What more could you ask for?
- Ciel: Lu. You shouldn't lay down right after a meal.
- Lu pushed herself back up. The Harpy chick they saved was enjoying the warm fire and dozing on Ciel's lap.
- Harpy Chick: PEW...
- Looking at them made her sleepy. It was a peaceful night.
- Lu: But Ciel, didn't you say the Harpies take care of their young? This one doesn't seem like she's being taken care of.
- Ciel: You're right. She must have been separated from her family.
- Lu: Oh my... Perhaps the Harpy that attacked us earlier was only upset because she lost her young. Poor thing...
- Lu: That's it. Why don't we look for her parents?
- Ciel: Mm... I think I heard Harpies are capable of understanding humans. If they know we're protecting their chick, maybe they won't attack us.
- Ciel: And we can't leave this cute thing behind. It will leave a bad taste.
- Lu: Then it's decided. We'll go return this young one to the Harpies first thing in the morning.

 Harpy: SHRILL!- The Harpy dived towards Lu and Ciel. The two split up, barely managing to avoid the attack.
- If they moved a moment too late, it could have ended in a fatal wound.
- Lu felt anger rise within her and yelled towards the Harpy in the sky.
- Lu: You fool! Do you not recognize the young you should take care of?!
- The frightened Harpy chick puffed up and tried to hide behind Lu. This is unbelievable. It's not like this young one did anything wrong!
- Ciel: Kugh, we should retreat for now.
- Ciel shot several sounds to keep the Harpy at bay, then quickly picked up Lu and the Harpy chick to hide in a narrow opening.
- Harpy: (SCRATCH, SCRATCH, CRAACK!)
- The Harpy scratched the walls to reach them. Thankfully, the opening was to small for the Harpy to come through. The Harpy flew up again, and ominously circled around.
- Lu: It's not good... We can't move unless she moves.
- Harpy: KYAAA!!
- Ciel: Strange...
- Ciel: I heard the Harpies are wise. They share the same language as humans. That's why they are called a 'tribe' rather than a 'flock'.
- Ciel: But it doesn't seem like our words are coming through. And she's attacking without care for the young. Does she think we kidnapped her? But that doesn't make any sense...
- Ciel: Maybe this little one is not a Harpy?
- Ciel picked up the Harpy chick and looked over with suspicion.
- Harpy: -
- Harpy Chick: -
- Ciel: Hmm... She's round... fluffy... She's definitely a Harpy.
- Lu: ... Oh, it's that feeling again...
- She felt that strange feeling she felt when they were first attacked by the Harpy again.
- Lu: What was this feeling...?
- She should know it, but she just couldn't remember.
- Lu: (That means... It must be related to demons.)
- It must be one of those memories she forgot because she spent so much time sealed. If that's the case...
- Lu: Ciel, you stay here and protect Peepers!
- Ciel: What?! Lu! What are you...!
- Lu ran outside before Ciel could even think to stop her. The moment she stepped outside, the Harpy dove towards her with her talons extended.
- Harpy: KYAA!!
- Ciel: Lu!!
- Lu: You have sharp talons, but it's nothing compared to my claws!
- Lu dodged the Harpy's attack and grabbed on to her back. As expected, the Harpy thrashed to get Lu off of her body.
- She couldn't tell what was up and down, and she could hear the wind howl. Some of the howling could have been from Ciel, but she couldn't check.
- She closed her eyes to protect them from the wind and concentrated. To find out what that 'suspicious but familiar feeling' came from.
- Lu: Found it!
- Lu found the source of the feeling between the Harpy's two wings. A familiar symbol was on the Harpy's back.
- Lu: I remember this symbol. This was a demon's doing!
- Lu: It was some kind of seed or something...?
- No matter. Lu shook her head and tried to think of a way to solve this predicament. Unfortunately, getting rid of the spell was beyond her capabilities.
- Lu: Then this is the only way... I'm sorry. Hold on just a little bit...!
- Lu took great care that the trashing Harpy would not be seriously injured.
- Harpy: SHRIILLL!

- Ciel: So... The Harpy attacked us without warning because of a demon spell?
- Ciel: Still, you shouldn't have ran off without saying anything.
- Lu: Mrrgrr... Alright! I won't do it again, so stop nagging!
- Lu: Anyway, I'm sure the Trocks are also under the same curse. That curse tends to spread around.
- Ciel: Then maybe the conflict between the tribes around Sander could also be demon influenced...
- Lu: Huhu, anyway, everything turned out just fine. What a relief.
- Lu remembered when they were saying farewell to the Harpies.
- Once the Harpy broke out of the spell, she understood what was going on.
- Lu will never forget how the Harpy thanked them both even as her neck was bleeding, and took in the young.
- The Harpy looked up at the Harpai Rocks where he tribe was, and headed the opposite direction with the Harpy chick.
- Though Lu didn't have the chance to explain how the spell could spread, it seemed the wise Harpy figured it out herself.

- Ciel: What is it, Lu?
- Lu: Since all of this happened because of demons, shouldn't we be allowed to have deserts?
- Ciel: Are you still on that...
- Lu: Still?! It's the most! Important! Thing! Of course it is!
- Ciel: Unfortunately... We lost everything down that cliff, so we don't have any tools or ingredients.
- Ciel: Not to mention money. We can't buy anything even when we got to a village.
- Lu: Huhu! No need to worry!
- Lu: Listen, Ciel. The people of Sander must be struggling due to the recent conflict, don't you think?
- Ciel: Go on.
- Lu: Then, surely they'll be thankful if we help out, right?
- Ciel: Mmhm.
- Lu: And, when help is given, a reward is returned.
- Ciel: Oh, I thought we were going to help them from the goodness of our hearts, Lu.
