Description

According to the Village Elder Emirate, there was no demon invasion in Sander. Since the Wind Priestess should visit the village soon, the El Search Party decides to wait while taking a rest.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue
  • Emirate: You're from Velder? Nice to meet you!
  • Emirate: Welcome to Sander, the best merchant village in the world! The place of legends and romance! Where gold flows like sand!
  • Emirate: I am Emirate, the Elder of this village, and the leader of the merchant guild! Anything you need, just ask me!
  • Add: What a grandiose introduction.
  • Aisha: Of course, merchants love to add an oomph! to their words.
  • Emirate: I heard you saved Senace from their second demon invasion. Amazing! Would you like to work as mercenaries for us?
  • Ara: Hm? Did demons never invade Sander?
  • Emirate: Nothing much happened, so it seems that way! Hahaha!
  • Chung: If demons haven't invaded Sander... Does that mean the Priestess is safe? We've come to see the Wind Priestess.
  • Emirate: Oh, then I have good news and bad news for you!
  • Emirate: The bad news is, the Wind Priestess is not in Sander at the moment.
  • Elsword: What do you mean? She's not here?
  • Emirate: The Priestess is in Caluso Tribal Village. Hahaha! But, there's good news!
  • Emirate: She actually visits Sander regularly, and today's that day! You are lucky!
  • Raven: We just have to wait.
  • Emirate: You must be exhausted from your travels. Why don't you take a rest? I will let you know when the Priestess gets here!
Quest Completion Dialogue
  • ... ... ... ... ...
  • Elesis: Wow... is this whole place made up of stands? It's much bigger than Elder. There's more things to see, as well.
  • Chung: Wait, is that... a Guardian Stone? They're selling Guardian Stones! There's no way the Seiker family would have allowed something like this to happen...!?
  • Aisha: Don't worry, Chung. It's probably fake. You need to be wary of these kinds of things when dealing with merchants.
  • Add: Is that from personal experience?
  • Aisha: Don't get me started. It's not just once or twice. They will always try to upsell you, and sometimes even try to sell fake merchandise disguised as real ones!
  • Aisha: I still seethe thinking about the day I bought some mysterious bird feathers thinking they're Harpy feathers!
  • Emirate: Hahaha! You were unlucky, young miss! Harpy feathers have been forbidden for a while now! Anyone who is claiming otherwise is trying to swindle you.
  • Aisha: Well, I didn't know! If I had, I would have looked for a suitable replacement!
  • Raven: Now I see why Aisha would fiercely interrogate the merchants whenever she buys something.
  • Chung: But... I wouldn't be surprised if a real Guardian Stone is traded in a place like this. Even though that one is fake for sure.
  • Rena: Anyway, where does Sander belong to? Senace? Northern Empire?
  • Ara: Both Senace and Northern Empire are located in the continent of Fluone, but Sander does not belong to either of them.
  • Emirate: That's correct! Sander is a community of merchants built to deal with bandits. We travel from Oasis or Oasis to build our community.
  • Elsword: Is that what Raven meant by lawless? Then do merchants have vigilante groups to protect the village?
  • Emirate: Yes. We also have hired mercenaries! A skilled traveler like you is No. 1 on our hire list!
  • Rena: Haha, thanks for holding us in such high regard, but we have other businesses to attend to.
  • Eve: ... Though this worries me. I don't think the Priestess will come without an escort...
  • Eve: But it will be easy for anyone targeting the Priestess to dress themselves as bandits.
  • Elesis: True. Sander may seem peaceful for now... But Ran is supposed to meet up with someone.
  • Elsword: If everyone's up to it, how about we all go? Meet her half way?
  • Emirate: Will you do that? We already have people out to greet her, but go ahead! She should be passing Barren Sander by now!

Description

The El Search Party arrives at Barren Sander to greet the Wind Priestess, but a mysterious stranger and a group of Trocks block their way.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue
  • (WHHIIIR...)
  • Elsword: Is this an abandoned village? There are buildings, but no one's here.
  • Aisha: This was probably a large village before. Water is scarce in Sander, so when one Oasis dries up, they find another one to settle.
  • Rena: Huh? Something's approaching. Do you think it's the Priestess?
  • Trock: Trock! Trock!
  • Rena: What are these rock-like creatures?!
  • Aisha: Trocks! Why are there so many of them? They usually don't appear in the presence of people.
  • Chung: Didn't Emirate say there was a group ahead of us? How do you think they handled this horde of Trocks?
  • Elesis: ... I'm starting to feel worried for the Priestess and her escorts. Let's not waste our time here and try to catch up with the group that went ahead.

  • (FLIP... WHIIRR!)
  • Anduran: Kyaaa! Let me down!
  • ???: Oh? Here to disrupt my plans?
  • ???: Waldo? Why don't you go play with them.
  • Elsword: I have no time to play with you! Let the Priestess go!
  • ???: Tsk, Kelaino!
  • (FLAP, FLIP!!)
  • Eve: ...! She's using her wings to create a sandstorm...! Elesis, watch out! There's a giant Trock in front of you!
  • Elesis: Ugh... I, know... But I can't keep my eyes open!
  • Chung: Uh, achoo! Cough, cough!
  • (CRASH!)
  • Rena: Ack! Someone crashed into me!
  • Add: Damn it! Stop getting in my way!
  • Eve: Ah... It seems nobody's in fighting condition. Moby, Remy! Protect everyone from the giant Trock!
  • Moby & Remy: !!
  • ???: Huhuhu... I'd love to play with you, but I have places to be. I suppose I can leave with this little gift.
  • ???: Seed of discord, spread far far away.
Quest Completion Dialogue
  • Ara: Thank... Achoo! Tha, ah, achoo!
  • Aisha: If it... cough! If it weren't for you, we would have all been taken about by the Trock. Thanks, Eve.
  • Eve: No problem. Moby, Remy, good work.
  • Moby & Remy: ~! ~!
  • Elsword: Th, cough! That wasn't fair! Flying away is foul play!
  • Raven: Creating a sandstorm where there's limited space... We were at a disadvantage from the start.
  • Elesis: Sigh... I can't believe the Priestess was kidnapped right in front of our eyes. I have nothing to say...
  • Ara: Waldo, was it? Everyone, look here. There's a strange symbol on this Trock.
  • Chung: It's the same... but it's similar to the demon symbol we saw in Hamel. Do you think they're using the same tactics?
  • Aisha: ... I can't tell with just this. It could be a spell that Trocks use. Let's copy it in case anyone back in Sander knows about it.
  • Elsword: Ugh... Let's head back to the village. We need to take the Priestess's escorts, and let Emriate know about this situation...

  • [Sander Village]
  • Emirate: What? A Harpy and a Trock kidnapped the Priestess? I thought we were past that problem?
  • Ara: What problem?
  • Emirate: Uh... We had a conflict with Harpies and Trocks and they attacked the merchants.
  • Emirate: It turned out that everything was a misunderstanding... So the Dwarf traveler from Lanox were able to resolve the situation. Strange... I thought we had it all behind us.
  • Emirate: We need wisdom from someone with years of experience for this! Stay here, I'll go ask Lady Vapor and let the Kaluso Village know what happened to the Priestess.
  • Eve: ... Do you think Harpies and Trocks were behind this? I thought the person that was with them was more suspicious.
  • Elesis: She was the one giving orders to the Harpy and the Trock. Hm... We can ask once this... Vapor... comes.
  • Vapor: Are you the kids Emirate told me about?
  • Elsword: ? Who are you? You look more like a kid than I do...
  • Vapor: How dare you! Show some respect!
  • Elsword: Ow! Wait, are you Vapor?
  • Raven: I believe Emirate said... years of experience.
  • Vapor: Yes. I am Vapor. I am an alchemist of Sander. I heard you needed my assistance?
  • Eun: Interesting... Her body's age is completely different from the age of her soul.
  • Vapor: Not a single injury against the Trocks. Impressive. Though you are filthy.
  • Add: Filth... ... Dynamo, activate air ventilation system.
  • Aisha: Lady Vapor, could you tell us more about Trocks and Harpies? I heard they don't really get along.
  • Vapor: Yes. Harpies are a proud species, so they don't like being associated with Trocks. I can't imagine them working together...
  • Aisha: Could you also take a look at this? This symbol was found on the Trock that we fought. Have you seen this before?
  • Vapor: Hm... I can't say I have. Is there something I should be worried about?
  • Chung: We found demons using similar symbols from this one before.
  • Vapor: Oh, I see. You want to know if this symbol is Trock origin?
  • Vapor: Hm... I think you were right in your suspicion. Harpies do not use this kind of magic. It's also different from Trock's magic.
  • Rena: We thought so...
  • Chung: I think the person who casted this spell kidnapped the Priestess. Who knows what will happen if we don't find her soon.
  • Vapor: Alright. I'll have the kids check the perimeters to check for anyone suspicious.

Apparently, the arguments broke out for no reason after the mysterious crimson haired woman visited Kaluso Village. The El Search Party experiences something similar and knows it's a demon curse.

  • Moby: @#$*!
  • Remy: #!!%^?
  • Eve: Moby, Remy! Stop fighting. I will not tolerate this behavior any longer.
  • Rena: Hehe, they're so cute even when they are fighting. But, I suppose they're fighting about something serious to them even if they look so cute.
  • Rena: Moby, Remy! Don't fight and play nice to each other, alright? You little munchkins!
  • Moby: ...
  • Add: The Nasods serving Her Majesty... Looks like they are capable of expressing opinion or having emotional states. They are quite advanced despite their looks. I would like to open them up, kuhuhu.
  • Eve: ...
  • Add: I, I just meant I was curious, Your Majesty.
  • Veiga: Lady Vapor!
  • Vapor: Veiga? What are you doing here? Is this about Anduran?
  • Veiga: Yes. Are there any adventurers that came by the village recently?
  • Elsword: Are you talking about us? We're the El Search Party. We came here looking for the Priestess.
  • Veiga: Just as Anduran said... Nice to meet you. I am Veiga, one of the chiefs of the Kaluso Tribe. I have heard about you from Anduran.
  • Raven: Anduran... Is that the Wind Priestess? She knew about us?
  • Veiga: Anduran said there will be visitors coming to Sander bringing good will.
  • Veiga: She sometimes had intuition like that. Perhaps it's because she's the Wind Priestess.
  • Eve: Is that why you've hurried to Sander? What's the urgent situation?
  • Veiga: I believe people from the Kaluso village have been possessed by evil spirits. They are acting strangely.
  • Chung: ... What? Evil spirits?
  • Veiga: It all started when a crimson haired woman visited Kauso village several days ago.
  • Veiga: Kaluso village is located where it's difficult for outsiders to visit, and we do not take kindly to strangers. But for some reason, this woman was led to meet the Great Chieftain Karu.
  • Veiga: ... After that, sometihng changed. At first, it seemed people were arguing more... Their voices becoming more and more vicious as time went one...
  • Veiga: But recently, people started voicing that Sander is untrustworthy, and we should prepare an all-out war.
  • Vapor: An all-out war? Why would... What did Karu say on this matter?
  • Veiga: Great Chieftain Karu was the first to bring it up.
  • Vapor: Wise Karu? That can't be right. It saw him since he was just a babe. This isn't like him at all.
  • Veiga: I think so, too. But Great Chieftain Karu has changed. He wished to stop Anduran from visiting Sander to prepare for war.
  • Veiga: I believe that visitor did something. So I sneaked her out and told her to stay at Sander for a while.
  • Elesis: Ah... We failed to protect the Priestess... I'm sorry.
  • Remy: @#@!!!
  • Moby: #$#$!!!
  • Eve: Moby, Remy! We are having an important discussion. Are you still fighting?
  • Remy: $&#!!
  • Eve: What? Are you now taking out your frustrations at me? Where did you learn such atrocious manners?
  • Chung: They are usually so well-mannered. I wonder what has gotten into them?
  • Rena: What do you mean? Are you saying Moby and Remy should always be silent?
  • Chung: Huh? ... What??
  • Rena: Moby and Remy are allowed to misbehave and vent out their frustrations. Is that a sin? Are you saying they're not allowed to get angry at all?
  • Elsword: Rena? What's wrong, all of a sudden...?
  • Rena: What! Now you want to silence me, too? Hmph! What a bunch of pigs!
  • Add: What are you even talking about? Go outside if you're going to cause a scene.
  • Moby: #!!@ !!
  • Raven: Wait, there's something on her hands.
  • Elesis: You're right. She didn't have anything earlier, right?
  • Eve: There's something on Moby and Remy as well. This matches the symbol that was on that giant Trock.
  • Aisha: That does it. You four! Come with me.
  • Add: I didn't do anything!
  • Aisha: ... There. Thankfully, a simple dispelling spell did the trick. You were under a strange curse.
  • Rena: ... Huh...? What just happened?
  • Moby & Remy: ...??
  • Ara: Everyone's back to normal! What a relief!
  • Add: Why did you have to go and contract something and make us go through all that trouble.
  • Elsword: Is Add still under the curse? Or is this just his usually self?
  • Rena: I was just so angry and resentful all of a sudden... Why did I act that way? I'm sorry.
  • Raven: It's just because of the curse, so there's no need to worry. But when did they get cursed?
  • Elesis: That person we saw with the Harpies must have done something. I couldn't see that well with the sand, but I remember her saying something about seed of discord...?
  • Eve: We were in no condition to face the enemy, so I told Moby and Remy to protect us.
  • Eve: Perhaps Moby and Remy contracted the curse then, and it somehow spread to Rena?
  • Rena: Oh, I did pet Moby and Remy earlier. Do you think that's why it was on my hand?
  • Elsword: That's good. If it were Aisha, she would have been too busy yelling at us to undo the curse.
  • Aisha: Hey! I'm not that petty!
  • Moby & Remy: ...
  • Eve: It's alright. Moby, Remy. I'm sorry I didn't notice sooner. Please accept my apology.
  • Moby & Remy: ~! ~!
  • Chung: Veiga. What happened just now, is it similar to what happened at the Kaluso Tribe?
  • Veiga: Yes. Without warning, arguments and fights broke out even amongst the closest friends.
  • Vapor: Oh ho... It seems we figured out one of their methods.
